We weren't looking for anything in particular, but decided to look here. Thank goodness we did though- my parents found a mid size curio cabinet that was just the right size for our office. First of all furniture is beautiful however we were not told the whole truth. We needed furniture for our new apartment. Oh, we got financing but we're told it was 0% first three months of financing. The guy who we were dealing with said just make a payment every month and the interest with start. Well, he never told me a payment of $800 a month was going to be taking out. This place will lie to you. Our couch is 2 months old! It smells horribly of mold and mildew. We can't even sit in our living room. After being lied to and given the runaround by Kevin and being told, the manager is in a meeting every time we called. He finally decided to put me on the phone with the manager. Unfortunately, for Kevin, he forgot to hit the hold button. He told the manager Joel he needed to have a conversation with me because I would not leave him alone and I was. " f word" annoying him every day. He couldn't take me anymore. What I couldn't take anymore was the runaround. I simply asked to speak to the manager the curse words he used with the exchange were disgusting. Once Joel got on the phone, I told him that I heard every single word Kevin said. I asked him if this was a place of business or a locker room? He couldn't apologize enough for Kevin's behavior. He said he would send somebody to my house to pick up the couch the following Tuesday because of the smell and he wanted me to be happy. We waited a week two men showed up at my house. My son was here because my mom was rushed to the hospital as I told Joel. they took pictures of the couch and told me they weren't taking it because the couch was dirty and had holes in it. This couch absolutely was not dirty and does not have holes in it. My son saw them hovering over the couch. When I asked for the pictures, my husband and I both looked at them in shock. This didn't even look like my couch. They obviously took the pictures in a way that my couch looked like it was 10 years old. These pictures look like the couch was faded. They deliberately put stains on it, and there is no holes whatsoever. I simply wiped the stains. They put with the sponge and took my own pictures and video as soon as I got home. I'm going to share the pictures they took and the pictures I took immediately after them leaving. Mind you I had to leave my mother in the ER with heart failure! do not be fooled by their reviews. They take advantage of people, especially people that are not from here like us. Do not furnish your house going here. We had no reason to lie. We had to purchase a new couch because the smell is making everybody in my home sick. Joel told me the reason it has a mildew smell is because I didn't put my air conditioner on in February. It was 30° here in February. I would've ruined my air conditioning system. Had I put it on in February. They had no intentions of refunding my money. They had every intentions of coming here and making some of the reason up so they they didn't have to refund my money. One of the best, if not the best, shopping and customer service experiences I've ever had. I think the name of the salesperson who helped us was Brent. My 19-year-old daughter was moving from out of state to go school in Myrtle Beach and I had only 2 days to help her furnish her apartment and get her settled in. After reading reviews, I had a list of furniture places to check out and we started at Seaboard Bedding and Furniture. We saw a couple of bar stools that were on clearance that were perfect for the kitchen island, so we grabbed those for a great price. We also looked at beds and couches, but I wanted to comparison shop. We returned to Seaboard for a bed. It was a floor model and a little banged up (I didn't even notice), and the sales person gave us a discount. My daughter fell in love with a couch, but I didn't want to pay that much so we went to the back room clearance section again and found a couch there with a price I liked. Of course the bed and couch needed to be delivered and they were very accommodating as my daughter wasn't sure about her school schedule and when the furniture could be delivered. She had to change the delivery time at least once and they were very nice about it. I didn't realize she would also need a foundation for the foam mattress we got at Walmart until after the bed was delivered and I was back home in another state. I called the store about getting the foundation and again, they were very helpful and quoted me a very fair price. It turns out I should have probably gotten the mattress and foundation from them in the first place, but I thought I was saving myself money by going elsewhere, but that wasn't the case. read more

I purchased my bedroom furniture, my living room furniture, some dining room furniture, and a futon couch. I dealt with a wonderful sales representative who I also consider a friend since I've spent so much time shopping. Her name is Gen. Always so kind and considerate and always on the hunt for exactly what I am looking for. I never even had to go into the store unless I couldn't find anything in their online store. I did visit the brick and mortar store and was very pleased at what I was seeing. Not only is my furniture beautiful I've never had a problem with it. Some pictures from my purchases. I was told my out furniture would have a 20 year warranty. I even purchase a higher priced item to ensure I had a 20 year warranty. After purchase was made, I inquired about information regarding the 20 year warranty. They said just call them at the store and they would honor it. Not good enough for me so I asked for them to send something to me in writing. They said they would give me the manufacturers contact info. But, after three or four times requesting that information they never provided any warranty information. Almost feels like a scam artist. Therefore I'll never buy anything from them again. read more

I was introduced to Paul @ Seaboard Bedding through a referral from one of my neighbors in my oceanfront rental units.I was only in town for a short period of time and needed sleeper sofas ASAP. Paul steered me into "Beach-Worthy" sleepers that were in stock, in my price range, and could be delivered the next day. I was a little skeptical on the colors, but Paul assured me that they would look good when delivered. We responded to an ad for end-of-summer polywood rockers for $199. We drove down from North Carolina to buy them. Once we arrived, there was only one rocker on the salesfloor. Our salesman, Kurt, told us they had sold all of the $199 rockers, including the one we could see on the floor. He told us he could order two $399 rockers and offered us a discounted price of $325. He said they would be delivered to our home in 2-4 weeks. We paid in full. Four weeks later, I called and asked about the rockers. The man who answered told me I needed to talk to Kurt and that he would call me back. When he didn't, I called the store and asked for a manager. Genevieve told me that she saw our order on the day we placed it and she knew it wouldn't come in 2-4 weeks. In fact, they hadn't even ordered it yet, four weeks after we placed the order. She said that Kurt is her "problem child" and that she often has to handle misunderstandings between him and customers. She said that she is the only girl on the team and she has to keep the boys in check. I find that to be incredibly unprofessional. But, here's my main issue, even if Kurt doesn't understand how the process works and he didn't know no one would order our furniture (??), Genevieve says she saw the problem that day. As the office manager, she could have called us herself, that day, to tell us that the chairs would not be ordered for who knows how long? In addition, she told me that the chair we saw that day was still on the floor. In fact, it is available for $199 according to Genevieve's current ad? Our money was refunded in full. We will not be returning to Seaboard Bedding and Furniture. read more

I've worked with a few different reps and all genuinely care that I'm happy with the purchase before I leave. They have a nice variety of chairs, couches, bed sets, dining room tables and rugs. If you find something in store but it's not the right color or the design maybe a little bit off from what you want they will show you photos from a catalog or online of what they can order for you. Delivery is great...always been as scheduled, the correct order and they are able to remove the old stuff. I have never been treated so rudely by any business! I was attempting to purchase a bed, sofa and maybe other Items I found on there web site. The guy that 'waited' on me apparently did not want to be bothered. He said bed was only headboard (not true as I had already seen it online). Did not let me get to sofa info. Very rude and hateful. I ordered living room and bedroom furniture. At first I was told that the wrong color chest of drawers came in and they would have to re-order it. A few days later I was told that the chest was on back order but they would call other stores to see if there was one available. This was unsuccessful so I was then told it would arrive in seven days. After the seven days, I attempted to contact the salesman several times but he would not return my call. Finally another emplyee contacted me and stated that the chest was never ordered to begin with and it would be 13 days before it would be in. So, this entire time, I had been lied to. After the 13 days, I had to contact the store. After two months of my initial order, my chest arrived. I had to pick the chest of drawers up myself though. I will never purchase furniture from this store again and would not recommend them to anyone read more

Very happy with service before sale. Not so pleased with after purchase customer service. Chose to to pick up furniture instead of delivery,. Arrived with truck and open trailer. Basically threw on trailer. I am am 50 year old accompanied by 8 month pregnant mom. Did not offer assistance with tying or securing furniture before we left. Just dumped furniture, asked me to sign paperwork and disappeared. Sales person, Joel Cortez seemed very uninterested in our safety. I bought 1 dresser and 1 chest. Three workers loaded the boxes on the truck I had rented and we drove it back to my house. Once I opened it, the dresser was badly damaged and the chest was slightly damaged. Abe was unapologetic and unaccommodating to help us return the pieces as we no longer had the rental truck available. We then were lucky to talk to manager Jen Reynolds. She was kind, respectful and told us she would get someone to pick up the furniture. We got unlucky again to receive a call from Dennis. He was rude and seemed irritated just to be helping us, hung up on me mid conversation, while charging us a fee to return broken products. I understand that the damaged furniture may have been a fluke, but most of the employees we tried to work this out with were very uninterested in helping us. The only reason I am giving this experience 2 stars instead of 1 is because of Jen Reynolds. Unless her pleasantness, caring attitude, and act for customer service rubs off on the other workers, I wouldn't recommend shopping here. read more
