I take my dog to get nails clipped here. Quick easy convenient for me. No complaints but I'm not sure what the dog would say; seems to be handled well and never clipped so short that the nails bleed. The groomers are always efficient and polite. read more

They take their time they do not rush and he smells so clean for about three weeks after his initial wash. Kelly did a terrific. Job on our Husky, Luna. She did a wonderful de-shedding on her and her yellowish fur (which is supposed to be white) is once again white. We love Cocos Pet Spa! Karen takes such good care of our terrier mix, Oscar. Thank goodness she's right around the corner because Oscar is not good in the car. She is the only groomer we have found locally who hand-strips his coat, and she really takes her time with him. His fur had been damaged by being shaved when we started going to her a couple of years ago, and now the color and texture are back. TLDR: Grooming led to razor burn which required a vet visit and treatment. We took our 13 year old cavachon here after our old groomer closed. When I called to make the appointment, I let them know he has sensitive skin. They assured me that they'd document it and use special shampoo. They offered the summer special package and I reminded them of his sensitive skin and they agreed it wasn't a good idea. When I brought him in, the groomer pressured me into the package. I told her he has sensitive skin and she told me it would be good for him. When I picked Teddy up from the groomer his eyes seemed red. once I got him home I noticed a cut near his leg and the area near his privates looked incredibly irritated. the next day I called Coco's to ask what shampoo they used on him so I could let the vet know. I shared my concerns and they told me it was because Teddy had been matted. Teddy has been matted in the past and he didn't have anything like the bright red irritation he had this time. we ended up having to take him to the vet and were told Teddy had razor burn. He was prescribed a topical spray (the visit cost over $100 with the medication). Teddy was incredibly uncomfortable and kept licking the area so we purchased a cone. I reached out to Coco's pet spa to let them know about what happened and my message was ignored. I wish someone would've warned us of their experience and for this reason I wrote this review. Two weeks later he is still irritated. read more

After moving from San Francisco to Lake in the Hills, I was so excited when I discovered this groomer. It was close to home, their space was clean and the girls working were very pleasant. They even asked a lot of good questions about how I wanted my dog groomed. It all seemed perfect except they didn't groom her at all like I asked them to. I asked for a teddy bear cut and My dog got a poodle cut. What was most upsetting is what I noticed the next day.... the insides of both of my dogs ears were filled with dried blood. I can only assume this is from when they ripped the hair out of her ears. I have 3 dogs. I groom them all. This has never happened to me before. I'm shocked, angered and disappointed. read more

Definitely not the right fit for us. We left the salon and immediately went to our vet, due to eye damage resulting from the mishandling of my dog. Medication and a follow up visit to the vet was required. I admit he is fussy, but in 13 years I have never had a problem. Professional groomers know how to handle difficult dogs. This groomer clearly did not. My vet suggested that I take my dog to a groomer who handles each dog individually, not in an assembly line where they have to sit for hours, compounding their anxiety. Thankfully, I was reimbursed for my vet bill as well as the nonexistent grooming, but the situation was not handled professionally at all. No concern whatsoever for my dog's condition or their accountability. None. I had his nails trimmed recently at the vet and they said he behaved like a champ and the vet tech said she would be happy to do his nails anytime. read more

The groomers are all nice to work with. Just had my dog there today and Kelley was awesome! She listened to my request and did his cut exactly as asked. One thing that was new was an additional charge for using a credit card or debit card.If you made a Cash payment no additional charge was added. We've been taking our dog here for two and a half years and we have always been satisfied. The cost of grooming has increased each year, the company does a good job of communicating by email or text, but did not alert us to the additional charge for credit or debit. Not a good explanation of why the additional money. My stylist costs about the same as the dog groomer now. Haha! read more
