There is only one person at that place that I feel comfortable taking my dog to. I have watched the other groomers roughly handle dogs, right in front of me! Literally yanking them, like rag dolls. One time I was in, I watched as a dog yelped a few times, and the groomer just kept doing what they were doing, while expressing their displeasure for the dog's reaction. It made me uncomfortable to watch, but I really still trusted (and still do) the one lady who worked on my dog. Recently, the groomer that I trust left on maternity leave. And let's just say, there was no way I was going to use a different person there! After dragging my feet way too long, I ended up taking my dog to Clips 'n Wiggles. The wonderful woman that works there, immediately gave off a warm and friendly vibe, picking my dog up and showing her love when I asked how long it would take she said an hour to an hour and a half. It was hard for me to believe my ears! The other place would hold my dog for 4 to 6 hours. My husband had said that all along he thought my dog was probably just held in a cage, but I didn't know any better. Cut to an hour and fifteen minutes later, and my dog was ready for pick up. What was the total for her haircut, teeth brushing and nail trim?? $45!!! I thought I heard wrong. My dog looked and smelled great, and was not going crazy when I picked her up. To my surprise, 120 is just enough to feed a toad for 2 weeks. Here, the small crickets are $0.09 each if you get over 60, we walked out spending just under $12. Not bad. Regarding the staff, only positivity and smiles coming from these employees. We were there close to closing time so we saw some cleaning and closing tasks being taken care of professionally. They have some lizards, snakes, amphibians, birds, gerbils, and fish, and plenty of food and accessories that you need for your pets. I explained I just gave you my phone number from previous purchase and I used my member $10 reward for that previous purchase (proves I am a member) and now I am to get out of line, run to back of store to take a picture of the code on your own store's barcode tag so I can get the reward advertised? Yes, according to Christina the cashier as well as the manager, Erik that I was supposed to get out of line and go back and take a picture in order to claim. (Not like an employee or say a manager just standing there could offer a solution by getting the code himself as my previous purchase wasnt even in bags for me yet) I regrettably do so and came back and stood in line to finish transaction and made the comment "that your system is so asinine" to which Erik stated "you don't need to use that kind of language." I had to educate this older gentleman that in no way is 'asinine' a bad word or inappropriate. I asked him if he knew what it meant with no response from him and proceeded to tell him exactly what that word meant. I received no apologies from Erik for his rude comment and was stunned by his lack of inappropriate managerial actions/words. I won't be returning to this location by supporting this particular franchised location.

We had…read morebeen looking for a new groomer and after some research my husband found Shanti Canine Spa in Lakewood. (They are located in the plaza next to Lou Malnati's restaurant.) Henry was comfortable and did well with Amanda and wasn't running for the hills to get out of there upon pick up, which says a lot! The prices are reasonable as doodles are high maintenance dogs and doodle owners know this. Henry looked great and was fresh and clean. We are happy we found Shanti Canine Spa and we will be brining Henry here from now on!

I don't think I'm super fussy, but with my dog's curly coat it has been difficult to find someone that can cut it to make him look like he isn't homeless. The ladies at Shanti Canine Spa did a great job on him and the cost was extremely reasonable. I was truly shocked. It rained overnight and the boys got into mud, so when I asked if they had time to groom the foster pup, not at all expecting a yes, they were able to take him very last minute, too. He doesn't like his paws touched, but they took their time with him and did a fabulous job. I am so beyond happy with the service and friendliness of the staff!! I even got some help getting them into my car as they are a handful when walking together. If you have a pup to groom, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN TO SHANTI CANINE SPA!
