We all sat on the floor with Bear surrounding him with love while photos and videos played on our TV screen and talked about our favorite times with him. Dr Dana did not rush and Bear went to sleep peacefully. She brought a stretcher in and covered him with flowers before taking him to the transport vehicle to be cremated. The Doctor who came to the house was gentle, kind and respectful. She arrived in a small car and on time. Very peaceful and nothing scary about her. My pet was euthanized with a peaceful injection by a doctor who made my pet feel comfortable and not afraid. Also relevant is the employee who scheduled the appointment was very helpful and provided much needed therapy for me as I phoned the business number to schedule an appointment. It was an emotional conversation for me and she was pleasant, professional and pleasing. I appreciate her too. I avoided making this call through most of the day, but by the afternoon, I knew I couldn't put it off any longer. I called Dr Dahlgren and she picked up right away. She was able to come that afternoon, which was a tremendous relief because I didn't think Brutus' suffering could go on much longer.
