It really helped that he had dummies to help us learn how to perform CPR correctly and an AED to practice defibrillation. He would also emphasize points during the class that would be important for the quiz at the end. Everyone in our class passed. Yay! I also appreciated that we were sent an e-certificate as proof that we passed the BLS course. Since BLS requires renewal every two years, I would definitely recommend taking this course if Gregg is the instructor. He has an extensive cardiac background, so he will more than likely teach ACLS very well too. The only thing to note if you do come to this CPR location is there's not a lot of guidance on logistics to get here, especially when it has to do with parking. We found out the hard way, but we thankfully arrived 30 minutes prior to class. Parking is located in the parking garage to the right of the office building on Augusta Dr and San Felipe. Enter from here and follow the sign for visitor parking; there's a keypad to the left that you'll have to enter a code for to get in. Call the phone number that will be sent to you by email, and they will give you the code to get in to park. There should be plenty of spots. If you can't seem to get in to park, there's street parking, but please take care of any no parking signs. When you get to the office building, you do have to wait for the CPR instructor to arrive before entering. Otherwise, there's restrooms on the first and fifth floors. The CPR class was being held on the fifth floor; the learning room was quite small and we all had to fit like sardines in there. We all managed, though. Otherwise, besides the logistics, this was a great BLS course that I will take again for renewal because I learned so much and felt I was engaged in the learning process. Great job, Gregg!

When the appointment day came, no one showed up at my place, and when I tried to call the business, no one answered. I eventually communicated with someone via their website chat and they apologized for the missed appointment and rescheduled me. However, no one showed up for the rescheduled appointment either. I again tried contacting them via phone and their website but was unable to reach someone to get help. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this business. They are extremely unreliable and difficult to contact.

She said someone had accepted assignment but never called me. Strike 1! At this point, I needed blood drawn asap in time for follow up appointment with my doctor so I paid an extra $150 to have someone come out via mobile service due to time constraint. This was their fault though. To make matters worse, the guy scheduled never showed up...strike two! Then Sonja gets a guy last minute and that was supposed to come during my lunch hour but came 20 min late and I had to step away from patient care for another mess up on their part...strike 3! You can tell me if this is a good service provider or not. I complained to Sonja who never seems to remember what's going on. 2x, she has said she would escalate issue to management and till this day, she has not followed through and I have never heard from her. I will be reporting this provider and escalating myself.

My coworkers and I took the CPR and AED class instructed by Heather Smart…read more Heather is very knowledgeable. She prefers to do hands on instruction verses reading booklets and watching videos. The hands on approach is more realistic and gives a better idea of what may happen when CPR and AED skills are needed in an emergency situation. Heather is very passionate about her class and training. After the verbal lesson, we were put into groups of 4 with a dummy to have the hands on experience. The "smart" dummies are equipped with lights to let you know if the compression strength you are using is strong enough. A green light indicates you are doing it correctly. A red or yellow light means you need to use more force. We also used an infant dummy to see the difference between adults and children as the compression strength needed is a lot less and with fingers instead of 2 full hands. It was a little embarrassing to act out a real life situation at first. Not everyone is comfortable acting out a scenario in front of others. As a good instructor should do, Heather was addiment we would not be given a passing grade until she saw each of us perform the series of steps necessary to complete CPA and AED properly. We each took turns and she watched to make sure we did it correctly. After one round, the embarrassment went away and we all started getting into it. I appreciate Heather's approach and dedication to the class. She even got on the floor (see picture) with us to demonstrate the steps herself before turning it over to us. At the end of our 3 hour class, we were given a survey. I gave Heather a 10 (extremely satisfied) on all questions asked. We all left feeling confident and well educated. Hopefully our assistance won't be needed, but should and emergency arise in the future, I am happy we have our certification to help save lives. Our group plans to have Heather back in a few months to take a first aid course.

I wish I can rate this company with a zero star. The lady canceled my course at the last minute…read morebecause I was the only student enrolled that day. When I said " I cannot wait because my BLS card is expired" . She said that the "system doesn't work, I will let you know if I can fix it" which was her excuse for being UNPROFESSIONAL . Of course, I immediately looked for another option since I didn't have another day to wait to have this done. I found a really great company around the kingwood-humble area. I requested my money back from Heather and she totally refused to do so. So I ended up paying double for my BLS course. The other company I found was a professional company and I actually enjoyed the training. In fact, I was the only student and they didn't mind teaching me. After taking the BLS course with another company I realized that Smart Safe Development Solutions are no good for learning. btw the place where they hold the training is awful and uncomfortable. ( this was the only place I knew) but in fact there are great places out there for the same money! Look for other options!
