    Universal Playground - Spray park

Decided to visit the Universal area (playground for all ages and abilities, seasonal spray park,…read moreseasonal mini golf and sledding hill)! We were on late afternoon weekday so not as busy or crowded as it would be on the weekend. The spray park has not opened yet (looks like will plan to open June 30). The good: I love the variety and amount of climbing structures and things to do in this playground. I love that this is universal (The Bay Area has a bunch of them and it's called Magical Playground- with plans to build them in each town). There is a free reservation system online for parking (max 2 hours) for weekends and holidays only. No Street or Neighborhood Parking is allowed. The bad: Because Mass is slow to add cool new universal parks, this one was hugely popular with the community that neighbors were complaining because there was not enough parking and people were overloading to resident parking. So hopefully there will be plans to add more parking. They have those built in shades but it is essentially useless because it doesn't cover everything. I wish there were more trees for natural shade. Because it was unbearable in the hot sun. We were sweating after 5 minutes. I can see it being very nice in the fall with cooler weather. 4 stars because this is an amazing playground but in the grueling summer heat, you could get a heat stroke so stay hydrated!

Went here with my sister and nephew in early October. As a non-local it was shockingly cold, but I…read moreguess that comes with the region. I've heard about initiatives like this from the TriCities area in Washington state but hadn't directly experienced one. I think it's great for families and the community that somewhere like this playground exists for children who are unable to access traditional playgrounds. My sister said this spot gets busy on the weekends and requires a resident permit to park in their fairly sizable lot (though I can imagine how busy it would get). My nephew had a lovely time with the various slides & also the firetruck.

We just celebrated our son's 5th birthday party here, and words cannot express how happy we were to…read morehave chosen VinKari Safari as the place. First off, the playspace is massive. I mean, absolutely enormous. We had 25 kids from ages 2-7 in there, and kids never bumped into each other or fought for any toys. There were swings, bouncy castles, climbing apparatus, cars to ride on, kitchens and trains to play with. It was such a pleasure to see everything so clean, well maintained, and frankly fun for the kids. Not a single kid ran short of things to do or stuff to try for our 2-hour party. Next, the value you get from all the food, great decorations, private space, and top-quality party favors cannot be topped. We loved the setup of our room, and our son especially loved the Spider Man theme. Finally, the courtesy and kindness showed by the entire staff. The owner and his family were the staff today, and they made everything so smooth. From unloading to setting up and eventually to saying bye to our guests, they made sure every detail was easy and a joy for the kids. When we needed an extra balloon or some guidance, they were there in a flash. We shouldn't have been surprised by the success of VinKari Safari given its great ownership and particularly great human touch. We thank you. We are confident our son will have a wonderful lifetime memory of his party. Strongest possible recommendation.

A fun and clean place to take your little one on a cold winter day! Will definitely be backread more

Boda Borg was so fun we went 2 nights in a row on vacation. Our group is usually fans of escape…read morerooms but this is that with MORE activity! Be ready to run, sweat, jump, crawl, and climb - I have bruises on my legs lol The rooms are really immersive - if you're in a jail themed room you can expect low lighting and crawlspaces. If you're in an army themed room you can expect to be speedy, climbing, or seeing flashing lights. The door colors tell you the level of physical activity so you can just do chill mental challenges if you wanted to. Two parts of each room - figure out the objective, and then actually complete it. If you fail you can exit the room and line up for it again (it goes quick) or go to another room. You can also ask a worker for hints. It gets hot in there quickly if you're doing physical activity challenges (some rooms are hotter and smellier than others) - but there are drinking fountains on the main level and fans blowing in the hallways. Make sure to wear comfortable activewear and shoes!

It did get pretty hot inside while running around, so be prepared to sweat a little. We could see that the AC was set on 69 but the temperature was 78 so the AC may have been having issues. They also had some industrial fans to help cool it down. They provide free lockers but you can't bring a water bottle with you in the quest area. This was an awesome group activity that requires problem-solving, teamwork, and physical activity. We only paid for 2 hours but could have definitely stayed longer. Highly recommend!

There are movies every 1-2 hours, several sections where kids can build and interact with legos and an entire station to make mini figures. We loved the ride too! The best part was hands down the workshop though- we had 30 mins of a curated micro build and we both had the best time- the master builder was kind, and encouraged creativity while giving lots of structure. You definitely do not need any add ons (the basic ticket is sufficient for all these fun activities! ). Will definitely come back for any other special occasion!

Though we enjoyed the one in New York too, this location minimized the sort of underwhelming initial areas and focuses much more on an open-concept space with multiple activities and building rooms. While my kids are too old for Duplo, it was really nice to see a strong focus on the larger blocks to involve younger kids in the experience. We enjoyed the laser maze activity, even though it was hardly a maze at all. It would have been nice if there was a staff person supervising the activity though - there seemed to be a great deal of confusion with how it was supposed to work. We figured it out largely by seeing others do it incorrectly. Otherwise everything was great - the kids loved the VR game, the building activities, and the impressive pre-built LEGO creations.
