The coaching is fine, either the coach is good with kids, or good at soccer, or in some cases good…read moreat both or there are 2 coached and one good at each. I have had 4 classes not happen, in all cases with no notice (not due to rain for any of those). All just reflect disorganization of admin. This is my opinion and in part informed by someone affiliated with Viking. Too bad as I have referred many to Viking, even today, but it getting harder and harder. If anyone listening, there needs to be communication about whether a class will be held or not.

I was on the hunt for a simple space to host my best friend's baby shower, and found myself in…read morecontact with LeRoy at Viking Sports. We had the space after a children's party, and before our very eyes, the room was transformed! Bouncy houses were deflated and round tables and chairs were set up in their place by the incredibly friendly staff. The space itself is blank canvas; It is a well lit open room, with clean wooden floors, and grey walls - all of which allowed us to add our own personal touches. I can't recommend this place enough! (Apologies that we didnt take the most clear photos of the space, but I will share a few with goofy circles covering guests faces!)

Sorry for the silly circles. We didn't get shots of just the space decorated, and so I just cropped out the guests!

Nice playground with lots of used toys for kids to play with. My 14 month old enjoyed it and spent…read morea fair amount of time playing in the sandbox, on the baby swing (there are two), and on the slides area. Some of the stuff is a little run down/dirty but considering it's free you really can't complain. There are many repeat toys in case it's crowded there should be something for everyone. Fair amount of shade makes this a nice place to hang out even on a hot day. I like the benches and tables for families as well as the water fountains.

It has two large connected play structures, a swing set, see-saw, a sand box, tons of toys and bikes that have been generously donated for a chance at a second life. The place gets crazy busy though. The after work crowd on a weekday is enough to incite a panic attack - especially for a newbie playground mom like myself, and quite frankly, I'm petrified of even trying to go on a weekend. That's not to say there isn't room for everyone, though. With the plethora of benches and tables, there really is room for everyone. D There are tons of abandoned (okay: "donated") toys left around - for the sand box and for kids to ride on, play in, etc. which adds to the play options. I love the access from here to the pond; it makes taking a walk around the pond before or after the playground a nice option. Not to mention all the shops and restaurants right on Center Street as well. There is easily accessible parking behind the playground - it is the public parking lot in JP behind Blanchards. It is 2 hours only, but that is usually more than enough time to get in and out of the playground. It's nice to not have to troll around for a parking spot.
