In the summer of 2023 my wife and I were traveling through Cody. We have a 5th wheel with a small toy hauler that carries my Harley Ultra Classic. We got up early one morning to go ride through Yellowstone but my bike wouldn't start! It would crank but not start. I called Cody Custom Cycle and told them the story. They said bring it in and they would look at it! I didn't have a way to get it there so they loaned me a trailer! I got it down there around 11 am and we took the truck and drove the bear tooth highway. They called me around 3 to let me know what was wrong and they had it fix! I was very surprised and happy to hear. They really had me by the short hairs! I was expecting at least $500 bill! But they only charged me $130! I'm still riding the same bike and loving it! They did a great job and i give them a 10 out of 10!!! read more

I am vacationing in Cody riding Beartooth pass and Yellowstone. Walked out this morning from the hotel and had a low tire on the rear of my Harley Davidson. Took it to Cody Custom Cycle and they brought it in immediately. Since I was close to the 5k oil change I asked them to do that as well. They also replaced brake pads which needed done. Had me back on the road in a couple of hours and charged me about half what the dealership would have. Overall a great experience! read more

A couple of months ago I broke down on Beartooth byway, in the middle of nowhere. I was able to make it to a bed and breakfast place that had a Wi fi connection and the first person I got a hold of was Kathy at Cody Custom Cycle. She spent hours helping me find what I needed, She helped find me a contact with a tow driver (After AAA abandoned me) she opened her shop up after hours when I was able to get my bike off the mountain and to Custom Cycle. There is a lot more to the story but I just wanted to say thanks in a public way to Custom Cycle. Between her and her Husband Ray, these are the people in the motorcycle community that go way beyond expectations helping fellow bikers and I might add just good, honest, decent people in general. Been on the road from Knoxville tn.. Got to the rally in Sturgis and traded my bike for a new one... Road around for several days... Mostly on the rain... Went to Cody to ride the Beartooth pass... Stopped in and made an appointment for the next day to get new fluids... After riding all day..I parked it to eat dinner and when I tried to start it... No go...I called the owners cell phone well after hours... He came first thing the next morning... Picked it up and took it to the shop.... Bad crank sensor... Not one dealer had one for a 2023 bagger.... He took the one off his personal bike to get me back on the road... Try to get that at a Harley dealer... Thanks again Ray... Arrived in Cody and no HD dealer in Cody's so my son found this place and it had good reviews so I gave it a shot. Got there when they opened and told them I needed an oil change. They jumped right on it despite being busy and had me outa there in prob 30 mins! Super guys, friendly and quick. U can trust them w ur $40,000 HD. No problem here guys. If I had been acknowledged when I first walked in and not ignored for 10 mins i would have given them 5 stars. Pay attention to ur customers first always! I stop and have my oil & filter changed on my 04 Ultra every year on our way to Sturgis, SD as I did this year. 47mi down the road my engine started knocking.... I stopped and found that all the oil had leaked-out from a loose oil filter. The engine was just re-built by Harley Davidson 5000mi ago. Now it's ruined! We were in Cody on our Honda Goldwing Trike and noticed a front tire problem. We stopped at this shop at 3:00 PM on Saturday. He special ordered a new tire. It was received in about 3 days. He made us a priority and installed the new front tire within an hour of it's delivery. This saved a part of our vacation! Can't fix a damn tinng other than the operator errors. I took my bike there seven months ago for a charging problem and the turn signals quit working? It should not take a skilled mechanic 3/4 of a year to fix it? Parts replaced only! Be aware! read more

2,000 miles from home,lost a piece of my back tire. Limped into Cody on a Sunday afternoon. After a less than stellar major service at a HD dealer in Denver I was in Red Lodge Mt and burning oil. A lot of oil. Bone Daddy's didn't have a mechanic for the summer and referred me to Cody Custom Cycle. I called Ray on a Monday around noon the week before rally. He told me to keep it full of oil and come see him the next morning. I pulled in at 9:15 and they were busy. They got me into the shop quickly and after a few minutes of talking to Ray he pulled the air cleaner and found the problem. When the HD mechanic in Denver put the new air cleaner on the bike they completely pinched the breather hose with the filter. Ray cleaned the filter, dried it, reinstalled it and the breather hose properly and DONE!! That was it! No more burning oil! This is worth making a big deal over because Denver HD's sloppy mechanic caused the problem, I would have never figured it out, but Ray did and quickly fixed it.
