This spot ended up being better than I expected. Drving around trying to find a place for breakfast and not a lot coming up on our search, decided to end our drive at Coffee Landing. I was actually impressed by the larger menu here. I fully expected it to be bakery items, maybe a couple sandwiches, but it had a full menu! Ended up having the stuffed French toast and hubs had a breakfast sandwich. Stuffed French toast was a bit of a misnomer, it wasn't stuffed at all, just topped with strawberry and cream, but it was still delicious. Hubs enjoyed his sandwich as well. For a small town that likely has lots of tourists to nearby Voyagers National Park, this coffee/breakfast joint in a little downtown area of International Falls was a cute spot to grab a good latte and breakfast. My latte hit the spot after several travel days of bad coffee. :) My scone tasted very good although I think it was not like typical scones (this one was rather flat with a texture that wasn't quite scone-like). Nevertheless I'm glad I ordered it for breakfast. It was tasty. My son loved his waffle. The dining experience is an ambiguous mix between wait service & order at counter and find a nice place to sit. The two guys behind the counter arrived as both baristas and waiters. They were 100% pleasant but sometimes service was slow due to their multi-tasking roles. A few orders (including mine) were misconstrued and had to be corrected. Which they always did with a smile. The ambiance inside was chill with lots of people coming and going. If you aren't ordering to-go and don't need to get in & out quickly, this is a lovely cafe to enjoy breakfast. read more

A very nice place that is FULL during busy days like today ( Father's Day ) . They had a long line of people and we waited about 45 mins for our order . Stopped in here for breakfast after a night in International Falls. It was a Monday morning, so not very crowded, but service was very quick. Ordered a decaf caramel iced latte and a plain bagel with cheese and was served within minutes. Docking a star because my coffee came hot instead of cold--but, it was a cold morning, so I drank it anyway. The bagel was very good, but I wish it came with more cream cheese! Came at 11:10 got our food at 12:10. Ordered soup, eggs Benedict, and the loaded potatoes with peppers and sausage only and two poached eggs. The soup came as a slightly larger than cup size, though it was delicious. We got our egg dishes and both had fried eggs and the portions were small. They also put cheese on my potatoes which I don't care for. I asked about the poached eggs and the waitress went and asked the kitchen for them and was told some burners weren't working so they weren't doing poached eggs. Y'all, if we order two poached egg dishes please tell us in advance if you can't do them. So we paid $30 for food and left hungry and didn't even get what we wanted after an hour of sitting. read more

Third time here and ALWAYS love the experience! Food is hot, fresh and good sized portions. We had biscuits n gravy and loaded hash browns. I asked for well done hash and that's what I got. Rye instead of wheat, no worries! (Although 2 pieces would've been appreciated.) Friendly staff. Smiles are free and abundant! Place is clean and bright. The coffee: HOLY GOOD GRIEF!! So good! I read some of the other reviews and I can see how the back room diners could be overlooked if there was a lack of staff... Hands this place has the best chai latte ever!!!! Whether you get it iced or hot it is amazing every time. Also their baked goods (I recommend the white chocolate raspberry scone) and sandwiches are really good too. We are only in town for a night but I'm sure we'll be stopping by again before we head out! Edit: we did stop back in for breakfast and were not disappointed at all! The team at Coffee Landing have a gem here in the falls! While everything we had was great, my wife who typically doesn't say much other than, "yours looks good," would not stop raving about the stuffed French Toast. I had the $8.69 cup of coffee, and not being a coffee drinker, was able to "give" that to my grateful spouse, and enjoy the "free omelette" the coffee came with. Oh, and the scones were great, too! While waiting fo our food, we were able to buy some local author's and artist's work and during these take out only times, picnicked at the foot of the giant Smokey the Bear statue. read more

Nestled along what is best described as Main Street USA sits the Coffee Landing Cafe. If you were to find yourself in Boarderland Country it's one of the only establishments I would recommend. I'm not the biggest coffee connoisseur but when I have good coffee I know it, and the coffee here is more than good, it's great! This is an addendum to our review of the Coffee Landing in 2009. It is under new ownership but has retained the menu. We have been here twice this spring and summer and are happy to say it still is as good as ever. The breakfasts are not inexpensive, but if two split an omelet it is well worth it due to the high quality of the ingredients. Their Lady Jane omelet with cream cheese, black olives, red onions is delish! Their baked goods also continue to be very tasty. And best of all, their coffee is as good as you will find anywhere around. read more

I have been coming here for a few years when in I Falls on business. Coffee is always good, breakfast as good I can make at home. Eggs over easy with great sausage links and red potatoes with the skins on!!!the only thing that would make it perfect would be a slice of tomato... Atmosphere is friendly with good old 70s tunes just far enough in the background to make you nostalgic and the service is just right... Fast enough to get you out in half an hour but not rushed 'cause that's what they're not about. Seems I'm always here when it's wet or rainy but looking forward to someday lounging on the sun in the "muskoka" chairs out front. One of my favourites! read more

Worst service EVER!!!! Our coffee cups have been empty for 20 minutes. We ordered food at least 40 minutes ago. Still no food had arrived. No one has come to check o us since dropping off the coffee, which they add the cream to not giving you a choice about how much cream to add. We arrived at 9:50, it's 10:43.....still no server has checked on us. If we were supposed to go to the counter for refills, then someone should have told us.... Not sure that's the case. Food has finally arrived, 10:50. Plates are not hot, food is only warm. Must have been sitting in the window for a bit. Thankfully the food was good. My husband had the loaded hash browns and loved them. I had the Lady Jane Omlete. It was good but was a little heavy on the black olives.
