First of all, you can opt for the buffet on Sunday and pick whatever you like from the buffet. But it's also possible to order a la carte at the cash register. There's a fridge on the right hand side of the ground floor of this establishment where you can grab your juices, pre packaged drinks or desserts. I forgot the name of the dish I ordered a la carte, but it had pancakes with cream cheese on it, cured salmon, bacon and a savory muffin and it was delicious. I also loved my cherry smoothie. I really liked how Be Yourself! is decorated, especially the stairs with the red walls with paintings and portraits. There is some extra seating area on the first floor. And the lavatory room here is called "Pipi room". The staff at Be Yourself is very young, they could be students or maybe scholars. The staff is very friendly and they tried to accomodate us by speaking to us in English. Because even though we tried our best, our French was really poor, especially the morning after hanging out at the wine bar all night.

By far my favorite café in Lille, Tamper leans a little more to the American/Canadian style of faire, thus there are a fair amount of expats floating around in here. And for good reason. It does away with the typical, cold French style and service and just puts forward a warm, welcoming, and genuine face that reminds me of a good cozy corner café chez-nous. Prices are a hair higher than normal, but the quality is equitably superior. It does get busy throughout the day and can get a little cramped, but take that as a sign that the secret is out and you're surrounded by good company. Bref, Tamper kicks ass!

It was so fresh and full of so much flavor. The avocado was extremely smooth, the salmon perfectly fatty, and the egg cooked just right. The sun-dried tomato spread tied the whole thing together. And of course the bread was amazing as well. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal here. I left full and very satisfied with the experience. My salmon-avocado toast was perfect in every which way. For people who are intolerant, even a small amount can cause pain, severe digestive issues, fatigue, inflammation, and in the case of celiac disease, long-term damage to the intestines. It's a health issue, not a choice. I came specifically because you said you had a gluten-free option. If it hadn't been available or if there was any doubt I would have chosen another place. Please take this seriously and make sure your staff is informed so customers don't end up in this situation again.

We had the obligatory look on yelp for our coffee hit and assumed that this was just a hipster place with an interesting name. Well it is IS a hipster place with an interesting name but unlike most it actually lives up to the promise. We were very surprised to find a full laundrette inside in pristine colours with the main floor decked out as a trendy coffee bar. The place had people working or relaxing whilst some waited for their washing to be done. The coffee itself was average but at 1 Euro one cannot complain. They had free wifi and nice places to sit whilst keeping the ambience of a cool coffee den. I have no idea why other places are not doing this, it really makes going to the laundress pleasurable and productive. They even picked up our passing trade. Great idea wonderful execution.
