Now, this wonderful little coffee shop tucked into the old post office still sells coffee beans and classic coffee, but seems to have less of a bean sales area. Comfy, cozy, eclectic, and a staple of the Hillcrest area, River City Coffee continues to be a wonderful spot to grab coffee locally. The baristas were friendly and quick with our orders, and a refill for a simple hot coffee was also very quick. My latte was fresh (definitely not a place I had to worry about a dead shot of espresso!) and delicious. Mom's mocha was delightful, and she enjoyed the warm ceramic mug almost as much as the coffee inside- there's just something about being able to wrap your hands around a mug on a cold morning! It's funky, unique, filled with a lot to look at and, with the exception of a beer priced - surprisingly - above $8 was a well-priced, quirky neighborhood spot that I enjoyed hanging at. When they do have everything and are not out of the products or items for my drink, my stomach cannot handle drinking the whole drink. When I go to Seven Brew, my stomach can handle any size of drink, and I can finish my drink. They are always out of everything and always prepared to take on two vehicles of individuals or 25 cars that come through the drive-through. No matter the line at Seven Brew, they get the line going, and you're not sitting at the coffee house for very long, so if you're in a hurry, I recommend Seven Brew. The staff there are always in a good mood and willing to hear your complaint and learn about your day. The only complaint I have is their new cups, which they recently got in some of their locations, like the Arkansas locations. The new cups seem smaller, and the lids keep popping off and making a mess in my car. I don't know about other people, but my car is only a year old. I am the first owner and cannot stand having a dirty or messy vehicle. I hope they return to the original cups because they are more extensive. I want to pay a different amount for new cups that are smaller and the lid pops off.
