This coffee spot has always been a preferred choice for me, as well as the veteran "alumni" who like to sit and chat, have a cup of coffee, and a breakfast or lunch menu item, depending on when we can take the time. The Grinds menu is awesome; their Chicken Salad sandwiches are the BOMB, and their breakfast fare is always delicious and they don't skimp on portions. The staff, mostly young people are professional, polite, and make every effort to make myself, and those with me, feel welcome. All in all, Grinds Coffee Company has been, in the past, a "go to" place to relax, have good food, and great coffees, of which they have a great selection. The gentleman, I believe is the owner, is amiable, always helpful, and, in my opinion, like his young staff, go over and above, to give the customer a positive experience. I really wanted to like this place but I just don't. This place was recommended to me before we even moved here so I was excited to see it was right down the street from our house. I got it our 2nd and 4th mornings here since our stuff still hasn't arrived. The coffee the first time tasted watered down, so I gave it another shot. The second time i ordered a different drink and it still tasted like they put creamer in water. I'm also very sensitive to caffeine and both times it's like their was no coffee in the drinks...the girls who work there are friendly which is why I'm giving it a 3 stars instead of 1. Update: I re wrote the review because it was deleted and I never recieved a response, NOT to post it at the top. The childish response from the owner is pathetic. I wrote an honest review about my experience after I tried it twice. Even if I did like their coffee the owners lack of class and maturity would automatically make me not support this business. Think they make brownies from box brownies at Walmart and sell them overpriced... could make your own coffee for way cheaper without the rude people who work there. Yelp picked us a winner when we wanted a coffee shop in a small town. Great coffee, great tea, excellent pastries and plenty of space to sit and talk a spell! A few tables over, a couple of God fearing men were discussing a recent sermon and comparing notes to their Bibles. On the other side were two lawyers discussing a recent court case. Grinds Coffee has a generous breakfast menu, including a dynamite breakfast burrito, which, I believe is their signature go-to wrap. Great taste, and more than enough to "hit the spot!!". The burrito comes with salsa, sour cream, and jalapeño's, upon request. I get one with a small coffee, when in the area, and always pleased! Also, Grinds offers a great lunch selection, and AGAIN!, the Chicken Salad sandwich is an amazing choice; tasty, and just right to. . . Yep! Hit the spot. I highly recommend this Coffee shop. The staff is friendly, professional, and have always ensured my order was correct. Grinds has a drive through, with quick service, and that has often been an asset. I visit Cabot typically once a year AND always make time for a visit to Grinds where the staff is friendly, efficient and very welcoming. Food and drink are all excellent and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is pleasant and the perfect venue for anyone who likes to spend time before work or the rest of the day's activities. Great service, good people, very helpful! I ordered a French roast coffee, it tastes fresh and not too hot so I was able to sip it with my banana bread that I brought with me. While the food and drink is fine in and of itself, the service was the worst I've experienced in Cabot thus far. I came in and ordered my drink and paid with cash, which was fine. But my sister (who I was with) paid with Apple Pay (which she already knew they accepted), and one of the ladies behind the counter just gave her the most unkind look and made it seem like it was her fault when their reader wasn't working. She eventually got it to work and said in a very rude, sarcastic tone, "for future reference, hold the phone way closer to the reader." And walked away in a hissy fit. And then when the girl taking our orders asked if it was for here or to go, my sister said for here, and the other lady felt the need to say (In yet another unkind tone might I add), "we close at 4:30," making my sister feel unwelcome and literally forcing her to apologize for wanting to sit in the cafe. My poor sister apologized and felt like it was her fault they were treating her in such a horrible manner. We were there at 4:05 ish by the way, so they weren't closing yet, obviously, or we wouldn't be staying. I'll close this off with the benefit of the doubt for next time, but I didn't want this horrible service to go unnoticed. (For the record, I NEVER post reviews, this just made me upset). read more

Over-steamed drink, tasted sour. Just left the milk to steam...no stir, no temp monitoring, no swirling, no tilt. Coffee doesnt have that "espresso" kick!!! To me the equipment looks old, like it was from an auction. Noticed the machine isnt calibrated for a 22 sec shot. Also not a fan of how abrasive and LOUD the owner (I think) is. This is prbley the best coffee shop in cabot. The best thing about it is they dont only have coffee. They have soda,tea,food,smoothies, and coffee. Everything taste amazing too. I mean i would go here everyday if i could. They have great prices all under 10$. Nice workers and their right on it after you give them your order at the counter. I have tried many coffee shops including the most known ones. I have never had a better mocha frappe. Not sure what they do differently but it makes a huge difference. On more than one occasion (even when it was raining) they would come to my car if others were in front of me to take my order so it would be ready sooner. Service is great.
