This coffee shop is located in Homestead right on East 8th Avenue, and the inside is massive. The space features exposed brick throughout with plenty of seating, including a large number of tables and a sofa as well. Near the counter where you order, they had several baked goods displayed under cloches, along with a small area filled with a variety of cacti. For my coffee this morning, I went with a brown sugar latte while my wife chose a mocha. My son picked a banana, which was surprisingly free, and my daughter went with an apple danish. During the entire time we were there, we were the only people in the shop, and the two employees working were incredibly friendly. My coffee ended up tasting really good. The brown sugar added some sweetness while still allowing the coffee to shine through. It was deep and rich, and honestly had more coffee flavor than most lattes I have had in a while. My wife also enjoyed her coffee, and my twins were happy with what they ordered. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My family enjoyed everything about this place, from the look of the space to the friendly staff, and especially the coffee.

Needle & Bean is located on Castle Shannon Blvd and has a clever name whenever you realize it's part record shop and part coffee shop. The shop itself is segmented into a seating area for the coffee shop patrons and the other half for the records. The inside of the shop is well lit with lots of natural light and helped by the light colored wood floors. Since I was just here for the coffee, I didn't really check out the record section of the shop and instead paid attention to the coffee and goodies. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a large hot americano while my wife went with a small iced americano. Then I also ordered my kids a chocolate chip cookie each and the family a brownie. Total cost was $12 which was awesome. My wife and I both really enjoyed our coffees here as the roast for the americano was super dark and rich. Since we both love darker coffees, we clearly made the right choice and it was easily one of the better coffees I have had in awhile. My kids seemed to enjoy the cookies and the brownie and so everyone was happy. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My wife and I really enjoyed our coffees here, our kids their treats and the price was fair as well!

You know it is going to be a good paczki when it is heavy and they didn't disappoint. They had several traditional flavors but also had two rotating specialty flavors. I've also had king cakes and various cookies and they have all been delicious. The place was packed. There was a line, but they kept it moving efficiently. There is parking available, but make sure you don't park in spots designated for another business in the same strip. I saw someone from one of those businesses monitoring spots and threatening a tow (which is obviously their right to do). They also have a cafe side with tables and some cute decor. I looked at the menu options and saw what some patrons were getting and it looked great. Something I'll definitely have to come back and try. Overall, a great spot for some tasty treats. And, in my opinion, the best paczki in Pittsburgh.
