The concept is unique but the coffee is SO expensive. My 16 ounce latte was $11+ . No coffee is worth that

Lovely little cafe with a nice patio area in the back to hang out, read, whatever!…read more This is such a good cozy, neighborhood spot with a select few but lovely pastries and drink options. The fall special Old Cardigan was a latte with vanilla bourbon homemade syrup and cinnamon, didn't taste the bourbon that much but still loved the drink and its flavor! Also really enjoyed their pumpkin chocolate chip bar that somehow wasn't too sweet and had amazing pumpkin flavor, try to get there early because they were sold out of a lot by the afternoon. The staff was super nice, the little interior was also so cute, with some retail, mugs, beans, etc. available. They are still open and have changed ownership, now they're the Lucky Bug Cafe, and overall a great experience and cafe to visit!

The business still serves beverages and pastries on the top level of the building. Hot and cold beverages include coffee, americano espresso, tea, hot chocolate, mocha, double espresso, espresso macchiato, flat white, cappuccino, latte, chai latte, iced tea, juices, and others. Prices are about a few to several dollars per serving. Their pastries are sourced from local bakeries. They also sell merchandise such as cups and bags of coffees. I have been a customer of this business since 2022. I have drunk the hot chocolate (4 stars), hot masala chai latte (5 stars), iced chai latte (3.5 stars), ginger-peach tea (5 stars), flat-white coffee (4 stars, but I am NOT a regular coffee drinker), and cherry latte (4.5 stars). I have eaten the peanut-butter-cup cookie (4.5 stars), cinnamon roll (4.5 stars), sausage roll (5 stars), spinach-ricotta croissant (4.5 stars), mixed-berry scone (5 stars), cake pop (4.5 stars), cookies-n-creme krispie (5 stars), peanut-butter krispie (4.5 stars), birthday-cake krispie (4 stars), and chocolate-covered Oreos (5 stars). I miss that the walls no longer have koala-printed wallpaper, but the cute koala lamps remain. The employees' service continues to be prompt and friendly.

This review is long overdue. I've been buying food and coffee from the Downtown location since my…read morefirst year of college (five years ago). The atmosphere inside is immediately welcoming. Few tables line the walls, but if you're lucky enough, you can claim one right before the lunch rush, when PNC employees raid the place and the soup sells out. If you stop by frequently enough, Charlie, Matt, or another employee might learn your name. The baristas are kind, personable, and have always made any mistake right. Forget the decadent desserts, hot coffee, or savory sandwiches; I keep coming back because I feel respected here. LaGourmandine is tasty, no question. But at this location? It's particularly loving and feels like home. There is free Wi-Fi, and no better place to get work done while enjoying lunch Downtown. My only complaint: be sure to say whether it's for here or to go when checking out. According to an employee, a small paper cup holds more coffee than a small ceramic cup. But coffee tastes much better in ceramic; I hate when it's mistakenly poured into paper.

Sigh. I saw that they had ceramic cups, including espresso sized cups. I ordered an espresso for…read morehere. And then they handed me a paper cup with a plastic lid. So disappointing! I try so hard not to waste materials with single use cups. I carry a travel cup. If they had only had paper cups, I would have given the barista my travel cup. I explained this, and she poured it into a (cappuccino sized!) ceramic cup for me. The espresso is good, but I prefer the espresso at Yinz, so probably won't come here again. That said, the quiches look really good here...

This is not to speak badly of the barista, though, she was killing it on her own! My iced caramel macchiato did taste a little burnt, but overall it was still drinkable. I also ordered an everything bagel, and while it seemed like it was store-bought, it was still very good. Overall, I would come back to Bellevue Beans and give it another shot. They have a variety of drinks and baked goods on their menu, and I have no doubt that I could find a winning combo on it! It was also so lovely to be able to sit outside at a café table and enjoy my food while watching people pass by.

This coffee shop is located right on Lincoln Avenue, and the inside of the shop looks like a cozy, narrow café with exposed brick walls, hanging art, and some small bistro tables against the wall. Toward the front, there's a pastry case filled with muffins, croissants, danishes, and packaged baked goods. They also have a Bellevues Best wall near the entrance covered in photos of dogs presumably from owners who have the shop. I've generally gotten lattes of one type or another while here, and that stayed the same on this trip when I ordered the rose gold. The menu described it as espresso, honey, rose syrup, and steamed milk. It was ready within a couple of minutes of ordering, and I was quickly on my way. The coffee here was decent as it had the sweetness from the honey and then the flavor of rose. If I'm being honest, the rose was too much on this specific drink and it got a little perfumey. At least I could taste the coffee on the backend, though, and so that was good. Based on this trip alone, I might have given a 3, but on the aggregate stars, it's definitely a 4. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. While this trip wasn't as successful as previous ones, I generally think the coffee here is solid.
