She never made me feel rushed, and every concern was met with thoughtful guidance, patience, and a warm smile. She is the kind of person who takes an interest in others and looks for ways to help wherever she can. One of the many things I appreciated was learning about her support of local businesses and local artisans. We even had conversations about bees and arthritis, and she shared information about a locally made salve that has been incredibly helpful for me. It was clear that supporting her community is important to her, and that spirit carries over into how she treats her customers. Exceptional customer service has become increasingly rare, and Paula exemplifies what it should look like. Every question I had was answered, every concern was addressed, and I always felt like I mattered--not just as a customer, but as a person. She not only has nice items, but very affordable items, too. That is a rare combination to find nowadays. The owner is also very nice. I didn't need help with anything, but I watched her interact with other customers. There were a group of children there and she was very patient and generous with them. She helped them pick out the right tarot cards and stones. I don't see a lot of people who help out younger patrons (because they're less likely to buy) so I think it's cool she spent so much time with them. And yes, they did purchase several items. :) The downside was that I had to use the bathroom as a dressing room. It wasn't cramped though. There was a mirror and a place to set my clothes so they wouldn't have to touch the ground. I think they're currently setting up a dressing room, so this won't be a problem much longer. This was one of the first places we saw, and as soon as we spotted a Spiderman blow up riding on a dinosaur inside, we knew we had to check this place out. The Inner Geek is great for all ages, and has all kinds of stuff to go through.
