Recently had all 4 wisdom teeth removed. I was able to get a last minute appointment. Consultation was smooth. The surgeon is very nice & made me feel comfortable. the assistants are also very nice @ helped everything go smooth. Really appreciate the surgeon taking time out of his day to call me later the day of my surgery to check up on me. Would definitely recommend this office to anyone. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!! Everyone here is just rude and has the worst attitude ever. Unfortunately, my experience with Cofis Oral Surgery was not positive. Customer service was lacking, and communication from the front desk particularly from the office desk lady, Desiree was very poor and unprofessional. Appointment scheduling is extremely slow. It took months just to get a consultation, with additional waiting required before any procedure could be done. This level of delay is frustrating and inconvenient. I would recommend finding another oral surgery office that values patients' time and provides better customer service. SUCH A WASTE OF TIME!! Do not go here at all. read more

This review was 5 stars even before the doctor called personally the night of my son's wisdom teeth extraction to check on his recovery. I was at ease and felt that my son was caring, capable hands based on my phone interaction with the office staff. It took a long time to get the insurance approval due to Covid (and the staff constantly followed up), but once approved, the appointment was scheduled promptly. Even with a swollen mouth, and in serious discomfort, my son commented on the gentle care the doctor took with the extractions (local anesthesia only--so it wasn't the most comfortable surgery). Also, he said was happy with his experience from when he entered to when he left: everyone is on top of their stuff here. He even left with a little "goodie bag," one item being a black tea bag to apply if he should start bleeding. Even though my son is legally an adult, I received a call from the office about 10 minutes before the procedure was over (I waited in the car) informing me of care instructions. She said she would also tell my son, but wanted to let me know about post-care, as well. Talk about going above and beyond! The cutest thing is that they gave my son his teeth to keep in this little see-through package. Yeah, sounds kinda gross, but they actually look really cool. You don't have to keep the teeth if you don't want to (of course) but I think it's a pretty awesome option, if you want a souvenir. :) Again, Dr. Belton and staff are wonderful! read more

our regular dentist told us not to let belton put post in for her new dentures, we did not listen to him belton said her bones were ok for putting in implants, well that was around 2021 and around 10 grand paid to belton, well fast forward to 2025 my wife has to have all post out because of bone lost, our new oral surgeon said different post were put in and should not of been also belton put two post that went into her sinus cavities se have spent over 3500 dollars to have the post belton put in that were infected, now she has to have 3 more done with a bone graft, after we get it all done i have to check to see if the statutes of limitations has expired if not time to talk to a lawyer, p.s. were we told her bones lost began years b4 the post were installed read more

I have been a patient for over 6 years and had the doctor perform 2 implants. After several years one implant crown loosened. I had to pay185.00 for X-rays for the doctor to even take a look! When you pay over 4000.00 for an implant tightening should be included for life. As it turns out Dr Belton was unable to help me as I forgot that Dr Belton did not provide the crown he only performs the surgery and inserting the implant. I forgot that I had to make appointments and pay my own personal dentist to supply my crowns. Needless to say I'm very frustrated and still in pain and need to make another Dentist appointment to get my crown tightened. read more

My brother had a procedure and everything went great EXCEPT we had to deal with NANCY. We had issues filling the prescription. I called and explained the situation and she was so condescending. Did not matter to her that I explained that I went to multiple pharmacies and they all rejected the prescription for the same reason. After years of procrastinating, I finally decided to get my teeth fixed. I was referred to Dr. Belton by my general dentist for oral surgery, and tooth removal. During my initial consultation, he went over the process with me, what to expect and how long it would take. My lower jaw needed a bone graft in 2 places, and I needed 3 anchors and implants. My smile had horrendous gaps in it. Dr. Belton took time to walk me through everything and schedule surgery. He is very calm, confident, and has a steady hand. After completing the surgery, I received a personal phone call from Dr.Belton to ask how I was feeling. That in itself showed me that he truly cared about my well-being. This was the second time I have taken my mom to receive care at COFIS. The first time she had two molar teeth removed and we were pleasantly surprised with Doctor Belton's bedside manner and care. My mom didn't even swell she called him an Angel. He even called to follow up. The back staff is also so sweet and helpful. The front desk staff is very rude though and not personable. Nancy in particular who works at front desk. Truly I hope that her attitude is addressed because her Tone of voice and mannerisms are very condescending. Make being a patient and someone who goes with the patient feel uncomfortable. Both times that Mom has gone to receive care we have excellent experience with the back staff and the Doctor again is so amazing for sure recommend him. I first came in the manager wants us to wear masks and gloves. I am ok w masks not gloves. The manager was not friendly. She likes to give orders. I went for my son. I showed her my Medical card. I did not have my son Medical card. The manager did not want to call Medical because they are specialty. I gave her my son birthdate and social. Most incompetent staff I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Office is constantly stuffy and hot and on my last visit wreaked of cigarette smoke throughout the entire office, all while the staff were clueless to the stench. We had told them that we were going to wait outside due to how stuffy and smelly it was inside and they come out to get us thinking that we had left even though we told them we were going to wait outside the office. They must not keep proper notes on patients because they had no idea why we were here and had to ask us twice, insanely unprofessional. I'm 19 and work an office job as well and i can handle customers better than any of the receptionist can. They are very unprofessional and do not take pride in their jobs. Jackie answered my call and she was so rude! I had to go to the ER this weekend because my face was so swollen and I got a black eye in the side of my face where Dr. Beaton extracted my Wisdom tooth. On Friday I went to my dentist and they told me I didn't have a cavity but a pocket in my gum and needed to be referred to an Oral Surgeon. The ER gave me IV antibiotics and stronger oral ones. This is an emergency and the lady said we only do extractions and implants. I called back a second time and the lady said we don't have anything until Feb. 2025 and we don't take emergent cases unless someone cancels. This office has to be so good! What happened!!! What a shame and how unethical! I'll find someone else who actually cares before I get a worse infection like endocarditis or neuro involvement. Thank goodness I'm in the medical field and know what good service looks like. This is definitely not it! read more

The best oral surgery experience. It was a pleasure to see artistry at work. Dr Belton and his staff are world class at what they do. The local anesthesia is administered very sensibly without making unnecessary parts of your mouth numb for hours. The tooth pulling itself? Piece of cake. You don't even know when it's out. I wish I could leave a 100 STAR REVIEW! I was so so so scared for weeks leading up to the day of my extractions & all those fears vanished with Dr. Belton! & ALL his amazing staff! I opted for IV sedation and it felt like it all happened within a blink of an eye! Everyone was so nice and welcoming and assured that I was comfortable from the very beginning until the end of my surgery and were so thorough & informative, they really do make you feel at home. Dr. Benton and his staff were very professional and friendly. The office and rooms itself were very clean and loved the feel of the place . Plus, for a dental office, he had some nice decorative artwork on the walls which complimented the rooms, courtesy of his wife. Reason for the visit was for a tooth extraction- wisdom tooth in fact. Of course, I was very nervous going in and he spoke about the procedure and options I could take after the procedure. Prior to go in for surgery as well, I was presented with options for anesthesia. I opted for local anesthesia in lieu of the "laughing gas". Dr. Benton and his assistant were very accommodating towards me during surgery. Also, during surgery, with his calming voice he would inform me if there was going to be a tug, a pull or some type of pressure. I appreciated the fact when I was feeling uneasy, they would numb the area more, so that was a plus. Dr. Benton and his assistant during surgery were awesome and got the extraction done. This was my first time getting a wisdom tooth extraction done, so of course there was more pressure and tugging involved. Overall, my recovery is going well due to the steps for aftercare procedure. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted here. The dentist recommended to me for this procedure did not accept my insurance so I went prowling online for an alternate oral surgeon and was lucky to have found Dr. Belton's practice. Not only did they work with my insurance, but although they did not do payment plans, they offered an alternate affordable method of payment through CareCredit. From the initial consultation 1 week before, the day of the surgery, to the follow-up visit 2 weeks after, Dr. Belton and his staff especially have been nice, pleasant, and professional, addressing my concerns easily and sufficiently. There was a slight hiccup with the day of the surgery because although they had told me to come in that day, penning me in had somehow slipped through the cracks and I was not on the schedule. However, they managed to move things around to still accommodate me that same day and I truly did not mind waiting the extra hour because their office is very comfortable and aesthetic with the flower pot pens, water bottles provided, and cool air condition. The view in the examination room is very pretty as although it is on the first floor, they have high windows ceiling to floor for one side of the wall. It gave me the feeling of being exposed, but also fascinated and almost even peaceful. The surgery itself, I think went smoothly. They put me to sleep for it and I woke up an hour and a half later with a dry throat and gauze in my mouth. They wheeled me out to the parking lot in a wheelchair because I was still feeling a bit woozy and my boyfriend helped me onto the car. He had been comfortably waiting for me in the cool waiting room the whole time. They provided clear instructions and let me know ahead of time what to expect and how to ensure a more comfortable healing process before they took me in for my surgery. They gave me anti-inflammatory stuff for the procedure and Dr. Belton himself called afterwards and left a message to check on how I was doing. I didn't swell as much as I had expected to afterwards and I didn't even need to use the stronger painkillers prescribed to me. It took a bit before I could eat solids again, but that is to be expected after any oral surgery. Thank you, Dr. Belton, Nancy, Kim, and the rest of the staff.
