Healthy Living at Home was the agency chosen by the Rehabilitation center to provide these services. The nurse has been great!!!!!!! (thanks Kristin) However, there was a TOTAL LACK OF FOLLOW THROUGH on speech services. Time is of the essence when recovering function from a stroke. He had not been provided any speech services. I called them, and they said they were trying to schedule a speech therapist. More time went by. No call back and no speech therapy. I called them again, they said they were having a hard time finding any one. I said it had been almost two weeks, and I wanted to know. Leeann Emmons said that she would call back the next day. No call back. I called back on the third day, and finally got a call back saying they could not offer speech therapy services. Well this is a little late to tell me! If they cared about the patient having a chance to recover THEY NEVER WOULD HAVE WAITED THIS LONG. This delay really is a disservice to their patient, my father, and he will never get those weeks back. Also, they did not suggest any other solution, any speech therapy center, any independant speech therapist. They were just, "oops, our bad, sorry, guess you will have call your doctor".

I had used Healthy Living at Home to provide geriatric exercise program for my mom 2-3 times per…read moreweek at her senior assisted living with the goals of strengthening her core and improving her balance to safeguard her quality of life and prevent falls. I found their service to be consistent but not very adaptive. She got bored and unmotivated doing the same exercises for almost 2 years and when re-assessed I was assured that despite having had to have physical therapists come in to supplement for 3 one month intervals, Healthy Living at Home continued to say she was one of their highest performing seniors and recommended no changes to her regimen. Her exercise coach did not recognize sciatica and could not recommend exercises that would help with the pain or discomfort. Additionally there were multiple occurrences of billing issues: no bill for 2 months, then a large bill. They also said they never received my checks on two occasions necessitating stop payments at my moms bank, incurring $20 charges each time. While the lady who answers the phone for billing questions is polite, each time she says she will check into the situation and call back the next Monday- which she never did, though once she did call me back more than two weeks later. They would not accept any other form of payment but a physical check. I have ceased their services, but it took 3 weeks while I waited to hear back from the billing office, then the supervisor and finally the administrator seeking to pay using electronically or by credit card - they would accept nothing but a hard old school check. Very frustrating and inadequate: I would not recommend.

We were fortunate to connect with Lauren from Visiting Angels while my Mother was in a rehab…read morefacility due to a broken hip. Once Mom was able to return home we knew she would need assistance during the day while we were away. Lauren was mentioned during a support group for a rare disease my Mother has. She was very thorough, communicative and listened to what my Mother needed. It took a reasonable amount of time to find the right caregivers that meshed well with Mom. But, that was expected, as new people enter one another's lives it takes time to find the right fit. Lauren's team literally saved her life. Part of Mom's neurodegenerative disease impacts her ability to chew, and swallow. While taking her morning vitamins one day, Mom began choking and the visiting angel with her immediately knew what to do. Had the caregiver not been with Mom that day she wouldn't be us. Unfortunately because the disease continued to progress we eventually had to find a suitable home to provide her with 24 hour assistance. Had Mom's disease not progressed, we would not have stopped working with Lauren and her Visiting Angels team. Lastly, I believe SD Visiting Angels was previously owned and operated by someone else, prior to Lauren taking ownership. I cannot speak to the caliber of the earlier company, however, Lauren is a knowledgeable, genuine and caring person. We are thankful we were able to work together to source caregivers for our loved one.

Gloria, Ginny and Ashley They were above what I ever expected. From start to finish I was treated with so much care. Jessica was my intake contact and made me feel so cared about. I was dealing with my dad's decline and in so much emotional turmoil and sadness. As each caregiver came into my home and cared for my dad I felt as though I was no longer alone in caring for him. To say they were skilled and compassionate would be an understatement. I am forever grateful to Love Right Home Care and the amazing ladies that cared for my dad

I highly doubt that I will work with another agency after the extremely positive experience we have…read morehad with Love Right. We have been desperate for care for my quadriplegic father for the past few weeks. Jessica and Shannon have been able to fill every single shift that we have had a need for. Every caregiver with this agency has done a good job, and most have been exceptionally quick learners and self-starters. The agency is very responsive and easy to reach, and it is apparent that they truly care about their clients. The caregivers who work here seem to love their work, as well. We have tried to work with 3 other agencies and had poor results, but we plan on sticking with Love Right for as long as we can.
