Their unwillingness to run the Key West Center as anything more than a decaying office building is affecting many small businesses within the center. The temporary 2-week receptionist sent up from South Florida was a rude incompetent know-nothing who made it clear that she would prefer to be in South Florida than in the sleepy town of Palm Harbor. Palm Harbor is a really good community. It is a very safe place to live and work. Palm Harbor is a nice and quiet alternative to the city life and inner city urban blight. That is rapidly changing. Since the management change of 3 weeks ago there have been no executive center services, as per a memo circulated to all tenants. There is no gate keeper, no one to book or manage the conference room facilities, and no coffee. The mail service responsibilities have been handed down to maintenance. No lights are on unless a tenant strolls through the darkened hallways and finds the light switch. There have been parking lot accidents, bar fights, drunkenness at all hours of the evening even after legal closing time. Outside lighting is not functioning making a dangerous atmosphere for those working in the later hours. Broken glass, empty paper cups, vomit and used condoms have been found in the parking lot in the mornings and weekends. Skate boarders use the parking garage as their personal skate park knowing no one is policing their activities. HVAC is not functioning, the bathrooms are deplorable, there have been plumbing issues, mishandled mail, down WIFI, and structural issues and this is just what has been mentioned by fellow tenants. There have been days when there is nobody at the front desk making it hard for tenants to know when their clients show up. When trying to contact someone it is impossible to get a call or email responded to.

There is mold in our "climate controlled" storage area. We have used this storage closet for about…read more18 months now with no mold issues. Recently the hallway outside our unit was cleaned. We then had mold grow. Management refuses to correct this situation. My actual phone call transcript Me: there's mold in our storage unit. Them: well there aren't any air conditioner vents or returns in your storage unit. Me: then how is this billed and considered climate controlled? Them: because air comes in under your door Me: you mean over the wet carpet you had cleaned recently Them: yes but that's not why you have mold. If wet air is coming under the door of the storage unit with no other ventilation, you bet it's their fault. they refuse to address the mold issue in writing. Additionally a car is outside our balcony running 7 days a week, 4- 8 hours a day/ evening. The resident works in his very old car all day for some reason. Sometimes he even walks away and leaves the car running by itself. Because the car has such noxious gas and carbon monoxide emissions we are no longer able to sit on our balcony or open our windows as the air gets cooler. There is against city ordinances and a state ordinance but management refuses to do anything about it. the photos are the email response I received when I requested the tenant who works all day in his car move it away from my patio. He doesn't want to park under his own balcony... it's very old and especially toxic in it's emissions. I can no longer open my apartment windows or sit on my own balcony. yet somehow I'm the harasser? My reply to you, Beatriz is, firstly, as you see in the photo Joel's threatening email, I cannot contact you again regarding this issue without being charged with harassment. You have taken away my ability to use my balcony. I live up 40 steps it's difficult for me to traverse this many steps. Why doesn't this tenant park under their own balcony? Because they don't want their family to breathe the fumes. This is against your own complex rules that one tenant isn't allowed to cause another an unhealthy or unpleasant use of their home. This balcony is part of my home. You have taken away my ability to sit on my balcony, that I pay for. As far as the mold goes, yes. The mold coincides with your carpet cleaning and as Joel said, no other air comes into the unit, only under the door over the carpet. I spoke to another resident who also had increased moisture in their storage after your carpet cleaning. Btw, those hallways still smell like mold even after you plugged in scented things to try and cover the smell. After posting reviews on a few different sites, I've also found out, the owner has a reputation as a slumlord in the rental management community. I'll post his name soon
