They initiated the construction on space I rented AFTER I rented with no prior warning to members. Second I end up in the hospital I get out discover MY KEY HAS BEEN DEACTIVATED yes I did complain about the construction SO THEY BOOTED ME. I did not get the space or the time I paid money for and they have stopped all communication as they're WRONG WRONG WRONG and don't they know it!!!!!! read more

This place is my new favorite study spot! It is absolutely incredible on the inside. The atmosphere makes it a motivating place to study! Staff was very friendly and I love the Kahwa coffee and many tea options they have. The 2nd floor is a cowork space for anyone, but they also have up to 5 floors. And you can become a member to access floor 3 & 4, with many other perks! They do yoga every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday too! Also, they have a rooftop that is easily accessible! I love this space. This is workplace transformation. This is the dream-come-true workspace. This is the future of one day not having to drag-ass to your humdrum, drab, '90s-style cubicle. I actually stopped by for my favorite TeBella beverage - iced Earl Grey lavender lemonade and wasn't really sure what I was walking into. Did a quick self-tour while waiting to place my order and was truly impressed... Such a cool place to work for the day, schedule a meeting or an event right in the heart of DTSP. There are conference rooms and each have a cool vibe. I love the inspirational quotes on the wall, artwork and overall stylish decor and unique furnishings. The last time I was here, this wasn't the Station House, but it was for brunch, and we sat outside on a beautiful day after running a race. This time, it was a beautiful day to sit outside for brunch and it was the day of the gasparilla race. No we didn't run it, but otherwise...look, it's still very poetic. Shut up. Anyway, my lady and I came here with our furkid based on their awesome brunch menu. Been meaning to try it for a while, but you know how it is. So many restaurants, and only so many times you can have gastric bypass surgery. Sat outside in their courtyard. A nice place to sit as you are down a ramp and below street level. Therefore, you are cut off from a lot of the noise and car fumes in downtown St. Pete. Unfortunately, none of the tables have umbrellas, and only a couple have shade from the building, so if the sun is strong, you will cook. It was a nice day, but I sweat easily, and I cooked. I ordered their hometown Benedict-pork, ham, salami, swiss, and poached eggs, on multigrain bread with hollandaise. It was excellent. It was served on a single piece of toast, which was strange, and a la carte. No potatoes or fruit. I'm taking a star off for price, which I understand may not be fair-we knew the price before coming. But, for $14, you can provide potatoes or fruit. That's a pricey Benedict. And Melissa's, with 2 fried oysters, was $18! Also, partial points pff for the lack of shade and the server who kept promising she was coming out with more coffee but kept coming out without coffee. Minor matter though-service was still very good. Even minus one star, this was an excellent brunch. It's been 8 months since I've been to Station house. The service was better but they weren't busy so it's not a real judgment of how the handle things when it's really busy. They've expanded, there is a back bar that the bartenders come up with their own drink menu. I can't wait to check it out, it's called God's waiting room. The decor is still very cool, love the special touches. Breakfast was delish, I ordered the ham Gruyere pani. It was so flavorful and creative. I ate every bite it was that good. I also ordered a side of potatoes, the texture was perfect, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. It was served with peppers and onions, I wasn't to fond of the peppers and onions and the potatoes needed some seasoning. It also came with pickles and onions, but they were really harsh pretty much tasted like vinegar. The picked items on the bloody Mary bar were the same, just tasted like harsh vinegar. So overall most of the food was good, the breakast pani was great . Sever was attentive and really nice. I'll be sure to check them again. Came back for dinner , everything was delish and we all finished our food, always a good sign. I had the chicken dish, the bell ringers , my friend had a Steak, our other dinning companion had grunts and grits and lastly the pork cap. 5 Stars for a super hip coworking space that has inspiration (and bathrooms) around every corner. And did I mention the selfie-opps?? I was in town for a work conference and we worked out of Station House for the week. The restaurant was closed during this time, so this is specifically a review for the coworking space and coffee shop only. Right as we got to the front entrance I knew I was home. Well, not necessarily my "right now" home, but more like my "dream-if-I-hit-the-lottery" home. The first floor has small conference rooms lining it (encased in glass, so not very private, but great for a shorter meeting), furnished beautifully. I'm talking different, beautiful chairs for each room and an overall flawless aesthetic. The coffee bar is also located on the first floor. It had a great selection of tea and coffee with specialty syrups as well as some light breakfast items (croissants, quiches, etc.). I ordered a decaf caramel herb coffee and enjoyed the unique flavor (of the syrups... I know very little about actual coffee...). The croissants I ordered were always warmed up and tasted fairly fresh. Heading upstairs you'll see rooms and workspaces to fit any need. Some look more private and conventional, while others include desks hanging from the ceiling like a big-kid, slightly less fun rope swing. Every nook is expertly decorated and begs for a selfie (I may or may not have taken one in a room with palm wallpaper and a neon sign reading "i woke up like this"). I also appreciated the bathroom options. The floor we were on had a shared bathroom with stalls (shared with men and women), as well as a private bathroom which is useful for the bashful folks out there. Just outside of our conference room was a kitchen that included a water-dispenser, old-timey fridge, and some snacks. There's also a rooftop, grassy area for when you just need to sit on pillows in the grass. Because the co-working space was everything we could have hoped for. --- --- --- This review is definitely all about the co-working space, not the restaurant, which is temporarily closed as I write this review. First off, Erin was phenomenal to work with as we were making arrangements for our conference. This was my first time organizing something like this, so I was probably being a bit neurotic about every little detail. But every time I had a question for Erin, she would offer a quick and helpful response. We ended up renting out the conference room on the 5th floor for a couple of days, and it was absolutely perfect. We had access to our own (larger) mini fridge, was easily stored everything we needed. There were ample bathrooms nearby for us and all of the other regular members. Filtered water could be found right outside the conference room, which came in handy many times. And the space itself is absolutely amazing. I felt very much like I was in some kind of trendy tech space in Silicon Valley. All of my colleagues seemed to be in awe of the design from room to room. From start to finish, we absolutely loved everything about the space. I can't recommend Station House enough if you're looking for a co-working space. read more

Station House is one of those places that doesn't look totally amazing from the outside. Housed in an old brick building downtown, you climb a flight of stairs to get to the main entrance, which is actually the second floor and a pretty interesting workspace. You'll see a coffee and tea bar and a bunch of chairs and tables where people are sitting working. There's also a yoga studio and a meeting room on the second floor. Other floors of Station House are reserved strictly for people with memberships. I have one, so I can pretty much tell you the third and fourth floors are nice, quiet spaces where you can sit and work without being bothered. Prices vary depending on what kind of space you want. The restaurant downstairs boasts a pretty good menu, and you get a discount if you are a member at Station House. I really loved the tuna tartare. It was the perfect size and the crackers it came with were really tasty, but not too thick or salty. The downstairs area has a "speakeasy" kind of vibe. It's pretty dark in here at night so it would definitely be a good date spot. The service is really good, but prices can be a little steep. All in all, this place looks like it probably belongs in New York design-wise. Definitely a hidden gem in St. Pete! read more

Was in town for the weekend and went here Saturday night for dinner. Located in the "basement" of a building, you walk in and have the bar right in front of you. A cool looking restaurant with eclectic decor but a little too dark, exposed brick throughout the restaurant, and a private room in the back for parties. I thought that the service was great and so were the mixed cocktails, BUT the food was a little lacking and a bit overpriced in my personal opinion. I ordered the steak a la plancha which was $24. (flat iron, smashed yukon potatoes, black garlic broccolini red chimichurri) Wasn't really in the mood to have mashed potatoes, I asked if I can substitute the mashed potatoes with something else. Was told that they do not make substitutions. That they can leave the potatoes off and I can order one of the sides instead... That would've put my entree at $30!!! no thanks! Besides my unwanted mashed potatoes, the food was good but definitely not worth the $24. This place is totally cool and has unique little rooms meant for conferences and meeting spaces. Hell, you don't even need to have a meeting, just go there and open your laptop and do whatever it is that you do best. My friend rented the upstairs out for her baby shower and omg, this place is beautiful! This place is nestled in downtown st Pete with a nice size patio to take photos, overlook the downtown area and celebrate any event outdoors. It also has an inside area which was equipped with a bar and a sitting area that consisted of couches and ghost chairs. The restaurant downstairs was closed so I can only review the rental space upstairs. read more

There are many nuances to the Station House beyond it's restaurant so I will highlight some of these items in addition to my restaurant review. First off, the Station House offers a mixed use space in it's second level for businesses and those who want a work space for a low price of 100$ a month. The fourth level also has some mixed use space as well as an outdoor grassy area where yoga classes are held. What is endearing about this space is it's multi-functionality. If you are not here for dinner you might grab a coffee on the second level or a yoga class on the fourth. The restaurant is a great place for a large group. I have eaten at station house a few times. The falafel fries are one of my faves. I also like the white fish crudo. I was not a fan of the cauliflower taboule, however, I like that it is a lower calorie option. The bell ringers were overcooked and although I am sure they would have corrected it, the husbeast didn't want to mention it to them. Other friends had a cheese board which was yummy but a little basic. The ambiance is always amazing. Pro-tip: 1rst ave s is one-way with limited street parking because of the bike lane but there's street parking along 4th as well as garage parking across the street. Most meters end at 6pm. Set and Setting- Located right in the heart of a district known for both business and creativity this coffee shop caters to both. As far as space crafting goes this place has it down. The size and spacing of the work tables is perfect for anything from a meeting to sitting down with a book. You can choose from a private room, large and small community tables (indoor and out), quiet desks or couches with coffee tables. Should also mention the design and decor of all of these nooks are pleasing and modern. The Food and Drink- They have a unique and well curated selection of local teas and pastries as well as delicious coffee. It's all presented well. The Service - always pleasant, always helpful, knowledgeable, presentable. The only two bits of criticism I have of for this business is that it is still using plastic cups even for drinks being drank in house. Disappointed a modern and forward thinking place like this hasn't replaced more of their SINGLE USE items. Also have to point out that they don't have an option to recycle. Secondly they keep the place so cold I've had to remember to pack a sweatshirt and usually have to leave before I'd like to to warm up my feet. Easy fixes though! I'll continue to bring my own cup, socks and sweater for now to enjoy everything Station House has to offer! read more

I will start by saying that my expectations were high. We went to The Mill a few weeks ago and heard great things from friends so we were expecting something similarly spectacular. The place is awesome. I never went to the tapas bar that was here prior, but the building is very cool. Brick archways, super cozy, and lots of nice dining nooks. Perfect for a date. I drank a couple draft beers by Motorworks. She started with a vodka drink off their craft list. It was named Russia something. Refreshing but no kick. All sweet. Delicious appetizers; They easily were the best part. We had the falafel fries. Tasty, unique, and quite filling. Not too surprisingly, the bacon-dates were the best taste of the night. Worth fighting for. Dinner was sufficient. I had the chicken and veggie dish. She has the steak plancha. Chicken was nicely cooked and Veggies were good, but not an impressive dish. Somewhat bland, no memorable flavors in this dish. Her steak was tastier. Best part was hands down the green pepper sauce on the steak. The rest of the dish was, again, not overly impressive. Overall we may go back for apps and a drink, Maybe brunch, But likely continue trying new places and skip out on a repeat diner experience. read more

My 2nd time there was for happy hour on a weekday in April. I went with a girl friend and we were seated in these big comfy chairs with a smaller table. I liked the different feel of it being dark and feeling like we were in some sort of exclusive club for cocktails on the Upper East Side of NYC or even a restaurant speakeasy type place. I went again last night with another girl friend and it was excellent! Our server Blake knew exactly which drinks we would like based upon what type of "regular" cocktails we order. He brought us the Russian Spritzer and the Rhino. Both were excellent choices. We next ordered the Clam Dip not knowing what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised and put in a 2nd order. The bacon wrapped dates (bell ringers) are my absolute favorite thing on their menu. We also had the KFC wings which were equally delicious; a little spicy, but just the right amount of kick and sweet. I really wanted to like it here and make it my regular spot. They have basically 3 common areas to work. None of them really cut it. On the fourth floor they have a ragtag collection of antique-y furniture; old chairs, a bench, a bar with stools, and two old desks. Only one of the desks has an outlet, and the chairs and bar stools look nice but aren't exactly comfortable. This place seems designed for looks first, and to that aspect it succeeds. It also has a loud dehumidifier running at like 50 decibels all day. The outdoor space is kinda neat, but dependent on the weather. There are no desks, and only a couple of outlets that my charger doesn't fit somehow. The upstairs is the true working space. It has rows of tables and proper office chairs. It is quiet. It has variable table heights. Kudos for designing this space. It also is inexplicably kept at 65 degrees regardless of the temperature outside. I see many bundled up people trying to tough it out and eventually leave. So it's usually pretty empty up there. Most of us don't want to carry extra clothes and blankets to work. Oh and lastly there's the coffee shop downstairs. That's completely free and is more comfortable than the 4th floor with more table/outlet combinations. So yeah, it's a good concept but ultimately I keep coming and leaving after an hour or two kinda frustrated. I would not recommend today to someone looking to do remote work. read more

We love the Station House Sunday Brunch from 11 am - 4 pm, which is a healthy set of hours to get your brunch on ... and your buzz on! Lori opted for the Mango Veuve Clicquot Mimosa, and I went with the Build Your Own Bloody Mary Bar, which is what I used to do when Cafe Alma was here. There were some great traditional and eclectic garnishes, which really makes this drink a steal - it's like getting a $6 Bloody Mary with a free appetizer. Many times, Lori and I will decide on items that we think we will both like, and then split them, so we get to try more stuff. We ordered the Hangtown Benedict, and "The Morning After" Panini which consists of Scrambled Eggs, Thick-Cut Applewood Bacon, Sage Sausage, Whole Grain Mustard, Beer Braised Onions, and Gruyère Cheese. It was quite sapid and hearty, and I would definitely order it again. Lori wasn't as big a fan, as fennel (from the sausage) triggers the "yuk reaction" for her. The real star of the show was the Hangtown Benedict! We both LOVED it! Hangtown Benedict is Fried Oysters, Thick-Cut Bacon, Two Poached Eggs, Toasted Brioche, and Black Truffle Hollandaise. It was succulent! There was sweet, savory, tangy, salty, chewy, and crispy all going on at the same time! All of that at once sure creates a fun mouth-feel added to the amazing flavors all singing in perfect harmony. Rose told us that the eggs were actually sous vided - this had a cool effect - when I cut it in half to share, I sliced right through the yolk, and it didn't run everywhere. Went for brunch Sunday...and while it was a nice experience with great service - the food and value seemed a bit off. The bacon-wrapped, fried oyster benedict was solid, but using bread (instead of English Muffins) felt like a failed gimmick. I didn't like the lack of texture the bread provided...it was just soft, flavorless couch for the main ingredients. At 18 dollars (high even for downtown St Pete), I was amazed to see that included NO sides. So add 5 bucks for a side of home fries and you have a 23.00 entree. There's no reason you don't include a small side with this dish unless you are trying to cover a rent cost that Alma had to leave because of. The 'grits and grunts' were decent, but unremarkable. We also tried the feta-salmon benedict (also on the soft-couch bread)...nothing overly special. The Flat Iron Steak was kinda meh. Maybe it was the cut - maybe it was the cow - maybe it was maybelline. It was presented really nicely so when I put the steak in my mouth, I had very high expectations - and was sorta' let down. Service was on point though and the ambience is definitely catered for your 40s gentlemen who likes "lounge music" which is really just covers of Kenny G. I didn't try their cocktails though, which is what they're known for. The one thing that was amazing though was the desert. It's the only one on the menu and that was like beyond good. Imagine if maple trees had vaginas, and you ate the maple tree out, the desert is what it would have orgasmed. The desert kind of made it worth it, but kinda sorta not. This place is awesome, has the perfect atmosphere, etc etc. feels a lot like a speakeasy, mildly similar to a mix between ciro's and oxford exchange. I had brunch here and it was pretty great; got the brioche French toast, home fries, and the omelette, as well as some fresh squeezed OJ. This isn't going to be very helpful, but everything was perfect and completely in par with the quality if the decor. Good food that is not too expensive. The Station House definitely hits on all of these marks and is a welcome addition to St. Pete. The atmosphere was great. Well lit, not too bright, but intimate. The music was also awesome, playing independent music (The Shins, Vampire Weekend) but not too loudly. They have a great cocktail program as well. This is the first restaurant in downtown St. Pete that has a great drinks that match their food. My wife had a rye cocktail with Cynar and I had a great cocktail well. After our first round, the bartender made us two off menu drinks, both of which were excellent. While they are still working on the menu, we enjoyed what we had. My wife had tabouleh and falafel fries and I had a fantastic chicken dish. Both were reasonably priced. The service was also great. The bartenders were warm and knowledgeable. The food was very good here when I went a few weekends ago. However, it would have been better if it was hot. My friend's plate came out before mine, and he was nearly done when I was served. Both the plates were lukewarm. The salad we ordered as an appetizer never came out, and after eating the $31 market fish of the day, my friend was actually still hungry. Flavors on the dishes are good here, but I don't know what the hell happened in there. I hope Station House can get it together because when you're spending $20+ on a plate, the very least the restaurant can do is serve you together, and actually give you hot food. I just moved to St Petersburg from Washington DC, and walking into this place was like stepping right back into DC. Starting with the valet guy getting huffy with our uber driver for dropping us off directly in front of the restaurant. Then talking to us like we were 5 year olds because, silly us, the entrance isn't these two large glass doors with the words "Station House" written on it. It's actually down the alley and through a bush maze, in the basement. As any proper hipster establishment should be. Normally I feel a place that serves me tap water from an old vodka bottle would be priced pretty reasonably, but the beers are at least $6. Overall just pretty expensive for the area. I had a little trouble finding this place at first - they have a sign out in front of an elevator that I'm pretty sure doesn't lead to the restaurant. Thankfully, I spotted the person I was meeting and entered the right door. The interior is a little bit different, which I appreciated. I think it could be really cool when it's buzzing with people, but at 7 on a Wednesday night it was dead. Neither of us really knew what we wanted. We were both new in town, and his friend had recommended the spot. The waitress seemed a little hesitant at first to recommend things at first (a sort of "everything is good" response) until she realized we were both indecisive and really wanted her to pick things for us. In the end, the only disappointment for me was my first drink. I ordered a beer that was tapped, and the recommended alternative was not my cup of tea. That being said, she offered to get me something else but I am the kind of person that will suck it up and drink it (it wasn't horrendous, just didn't love it). Her next drink recommendation (wine) was also off but she only brought me a sample, so it was fine. Thankfully, the food she brought us was on point. We basically ordered a mixed meat/cheese charcuterie board and "non-seafood meat and side dishes" without being specific because, again, we were apparently both open but indecisive types. Everything was delicious. The brussels sprouts were the real highlight for me. The pork belly, something I wouldn't typically order, was also quite good. Put a bit of the pork and a brussels sprout in your mouth at the same time and you will know what heaven tastes like. Seriously. She also brought us the bacon-wrapped dates. This sounded SO unappealing to me, but I believe in trying everything, and they actually were pretty good. That says a LOT coming from me. Overall, this isn't the kind of place I would probably come to often. Tapas places in general are tough for me because they are often overpriced for the amount of food. That being said, I love to try different things and this is the kind of place that forces my date to share their food with me, so score! I will also say that a lot of the small plates are actually quite reasonable in price, but the entrees are a bit up there. So good! B en there a few times. Love their craft cocktails. Very delicious and refreshing. The apps are good size for sharing and presentation is great. Love their brunch! Ham and cheese is amazing! Huge and yummy. Grits and grunts were was my latest treat and it came out great. It's served with eggs of choice. Unbelievable. The fish was a bit greasy, but still very good. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Never had a bad experience with anyone. I'll be coming back again and again. :-) read more

This restaurant is definitely trying hard. Eclectic fare, and high-end for St. Pete. Decor is kind of weird; there's the main restaurant and bar, a separate bar, and the bathroom and they're all decorated differently. It's too dark in the dining area. This place used to be Cafe Alma, and they have a really cool spot underground. Very attentive waiters and water service. Our waiter came by a little too often to check on us. Falafel fries, braised kale, chicharrones with labneh, and bell-ringers. I'll elaborate. The falafel fries were arranged like a Jenga tower. They definitely tasted like falafel but the texture was not really there--too soft inside, not soft outside, and not super pleasant to eat. They came with a tahini sauce. Kale was kale. Chicharrones--I expected pork belly, like meat and fat and grease, but it was just giant pieces of pork rinds. With....labneh? Okay. I ate it. The labneh had some really spicy stuff on it. My favorite was the bell-ringers, which are supposed to be medjool dates wrapped in bacon with chorizo and apricot. I can't say I noticed the last two ingredients. These were delicious: whoever thought of the date/bacon marriage is clever. However, I felt the ratio of date-to-bacon was a little big. There was SO much date. And my biggest complaint is the large and offensive peppercorns I kept tasting. This dish does not need peppercorns. They ruined the dish for me, but I liked it. This place has some improvements with the food, and other aspects. However, it was very unique, so I'd come back in a few months to see if anything's changed. read more

Surprised by others' comments about the decor being such improvement over what it was when it was Cafe Alma. It's different, but it's still a dark cave. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it's certainly not a "wow" space. Our server, a petite blonde, was fantastic: Attentive, knowledgeable, warm. Other than the friends with whom we were dining, I'd say she was the highlight. The food, like the decor, wasn't bad, but not worth the price tag. Cheese board was uninspired. The crostini served with that and the charcuterie was grocery-grade bread. The cheeses and meats were fine, but not great. If they can figure out how to make the falafel fries crispy instead of soggy, they'd be pretty good.The pan-seared red grouper had a nice mix of flavors and textures, but the pan-sear made it feel greasy and heavy in spite of light citrus notes. Mixed reviews on the cocktails, with different opinions on the quality of the drinks themselves, and uniform agreement on wait time. The idea of a hand-crafted cocktail is nice, but the time it takes to manage all that pomp and circumstance sure does kill the momentum of an evening. Overall, if we're invited to join people at Station House we won't balk, but we won't be excited about it, either. read more

Huge improvement over the cafe alma space. The new decor really compliments the space. The drinks are really great, but the menu is overly cryptic. They really need to list the ingredients for each drink, rather than necessitating that your server explain the whole menu. We had two brambles and a Russian punch, all three were very good. We ordered the stuffed dates, broccolini, tuna tartare, and whitefish crudo. The dates were wonderful, sweet, smoky and meaty. The tuna was also great and huge. The broccolini was a pleasant surprise, perfectly cooked. The crudo was a bit of a miss, very small portion, bland, and the fish was a little too warm. Overall, the menu needs retooling. It's hard to understand what is and is not meant to be shared and the entrees are very limited. They probably need to just stick with the tapas concept and go whole hog with that. The total bill came out to $90, which felt a little steep and will probably limit how often we visit. We will go back for brunch though. read more

The 20's style music done by a couple that was in costume was very cool. It was a great addition. We were seated very quickly and had a really nice corner table. We started with KFC wings with were Korean wings and not the kernels. There were breaded nicely and the flavor was real good. They were a bit over cooked but the Korean BBQ flavor made up for it. Not too spicy IMO. I moved on to the special fish dish which was a Cauliflower purée, golden caper pesto, organic watercress, citrus and herb vinaigrette. Fish was a snapper. There is a lot going on here. Fish was a little over cooked but take a little of everything on the plate in one bite and it was a great bite. So many great flavors and layers that you could really savor each bite. We then split a dessert call the 'Widows Peak'. This was a chocolaty dessert with rum. It was pretty good but a little dry which seems to be the theme here. The rum flavor did not overpower the dish but you could certainly taste it. I think it needs some kinda cream poured over it. Overall we had a great time but everything we had was either dry or a little overcooked. Not sure if they just had so many of these items prepared already and they sat under the heat lamps but if it was not for the bar and the music I would have probably given this a 3 over all. My Wife had the steak and it was perfectly cooked so not everything was dry. She loved it and is a picky eater so this is real good to hear. read more
