On the very first night, I managed to get a brutal kink in my neck thanks to a questionable timeshare pillow. The pain and immobility were so bad my wife insisted I see a chiropractor. Even though they were out of network and I had to pay cash ($125 for the new patient assessment and $75 for the adjustment), it ended up being some of the best money I've ever spent. Dr. Tim was incredibly kind, thorough, and generous with his time. He didn't just focus on the immediate neck pain -- he took a deep dive into my history of injuries, mobility, and overall fitness goals. His approach felt truly holistic. After some time resting with CBD cream and a heating pad, he came back in and delivered what I can only describe as a "bomber" adjustment. The relief was so immediate and powerful I actually teared up. I told him, "I feel like I should give you a hug." With the calm confidence of someone who is one part Kurt Russell and one part martial arts sensei, he said, "Well, that's okay," and gave me a good‑natured embrace. I was able to see him again a few days later to reinforce the work before our 10‑hour drive back to Los Angeles, which made a huge difference. If I lived in Tahoe, I'd be in his office regularly. If you're visiting and something goes sideways with your back or neck, I can't recommend Dr. Tim and his wonderful staff highly enough. Next year I'll be back -- but since I'm over 40, I'll also be bringing my own pillow.

Shah called me right away and within an hour I was in Dr. Tim Schoeder's Office getting the care and healing I needed. No X-Ray's needed. Dr. Tim went right to work with a variety of modalities. His experience in Karate gives Dr. Tim an extra boost with his hands and the ability to seek, find and penetrate into those areas especially painful. A caring, knowledgeable practitioner, Dr. Walsh listened thoughtfully as I recounted my over-zealous activities the previous two days. Then he did a variety of stretches and worked in the deeper spaces between muscles and skeleton, explaining each step of the way what he was doing. He then showed me some exercises I could do on my own and me video record them on my phone so I could practice after I left his office. Thanks to Dr. Walsh, I felt like a new woman the very next day. I wish I lived there so I could have regular tune-ups with him! It's good to know that he's a "homeboy" with a special gift of art and science, because I go to North Tahoe twice a year and will call him if I ever injure myself again. Wow. Dr. Abbe Gage is so attuned to the body and what it…read moreneeds. The way she guides ones body to move and breath to heal from the inside out, structurally and muscularly is absolutely phenomenal. I went in with extreme pain and difficulty breathing from a ski injury to my rib cage. Abbe had me sit on the table first, to talk about what ailed me. I could tell she was reading my body as I sat there, discussing, putting me at ease with the conversation. I then lay down, and she gently evaluated my whole body; makes sense, everything is after all connected. She then started to have me tune into parts of my body, and breath into those spots. Then move and hone in on deeper spots, again all the while guiding me with my own breath. She would then evaluate and continue to develop my positioning and movements to further expand upon her work with me. By the end of the session, I felt more whole, relaxed, connected, and surprisingly, stronger. As I write this now hours later, I feel even better and can breath deeply with considerably less pain and again, a more whole sense of self and body.
