Inside it was a rather large jewelry store, not just mainstream stuff, but the entire range from starter jewelry to pieces that cost more than my house. The staff was cool, and they were perfectly gracious when they found out what I wanted. I have a cheap watch, and I have spent maybe six times as much as the watch itself on bands and batteries. But they treated me with the same respect as if I had come in for a wedding set. So besides being one of the very few places Yelp could find for me, it was also convenient and a first-class shopping experience.

I bought some precious metals here a few years ago during COVID. Their website (see attached screenshot) also offers to buy for cash. Now, they are refusing to buy for cash, claiming there is a local law preventing it, but they refuse to cite that specific law or the city code to lookup. What's worse is they say even if I opt to sell to them and get paid by check, it will take two weeks to get paid. What? They want me to wait two weeks to get paid for items that I'm handing to them that day? That sounds too sketchy. What's more, after calling around, I found other shops in town that are buying for cash, so I don't believe the claim about local laws preventing it. This shop committed fraud when selling me precious metals based on their promises to buy it back for cash, and now is still falsely advertising their services to buy for cash on their own website currently. This place seems like a scam.

In a world of big chain stores and amazon, it is truly refreshing to have an actual mom and pop place still in existence. She did a great job on my daughters ears. We came back a few months later and Mary had a magazine of all gold earing studs that were super cute. We got a pair of gold earrings for under $30. The value was great, the service was great, and the product was great. It seems to me most all the one star reviews they have are from folks who don't appreciate that they have Trump hats and things for sale, and I get that not everyone cares for that, but they are jewelers and it seems to me they should be rated on their quality of service and craftsmanship, which it top notch.

I got two chatting with the lovely couple before I knew it, he brought my watch to the front completely fixed within maybe five to ten minutes maximum! And on top of it, he tried to not charge me. The owner (Dave) was incredibly hospitable and very patient as we looked through all of the offerings in his shop. He came up with an incredible suggestion to let us pick stamps from every country in this giant book of old stamps that he had. Many of the countries listed in the book do not exist any more and we basically got a free history lesson while looking at some beautifully designed stamps. At the end of it, we walked out with a mini-album of 182 stamps from all kinds of countries and eras! It was only $45 too and he cut us some slack on the exact counts (it was supposed to be 25 cents a stamp). I think this is an incredibly cool thing to do as a tourist and suggested it to Dave as an offering that he can extend to other tourists in the future as old, well-designed stamps are a treat for anyone's collection. I also purchased some old coins and some pristine quality US Mint proof sets in silver in birth year dates. Would strongly recommend to other folks visiting Flagstaff and it's a shame I'm not able to visit more often as it's truly an adult candy shop!
