I arranged to have someone come twice a day. Brittany and Andi we absolutely wonderful with Caspian. They made sure he had food, checked the water level in his fountain, scooped the litter box, and played with Caspian. Twice a day I received text messages stating what had been done, and contained several pictures of my happy cat. Brittany and Andi also made sure there was a light on in the house at night, and opened and closed my blinds and curtains. Bonus - they even brought my garbage can in off the street and brought in my mail that was delivered at the end of my vacation (I didn't even ask them to do that). Almost forgot - Critter Care has an app that makes scheduling, communication, and payment very easy. I will definitely be using them again the next time I go on vacation.

I was told he had a completely torn ACL and needed a very expensive surgery. This was alarming enough, but things quickly went downhill from there. I wanted a second opinion, which any responsible pet owner should be able to get without resistance, yet the clinic refused to send over his bloodwork and scans when requested. After a lot of back and forth, they finally sent the records--but unbelievably, they had scanned the wrong leg. This kind of error is completely unacceptable, especially when it leads to such a serious (and costly) diagnosis. It makes me question the accuracy of everything they told me. To make matters worse, they refused to offer any refund or even a credit despite their mistake and the stress they caused. Between the misdiagnosis, poor communication, and lack of accountability, I have zero confidence in their care. Previously, Dakota was able to socialize and play with other dogs during outdoor time, which was the main part of why she enjoyed staying here so much. Since late 2025, she has consistently been kept separate from the other dogs during outside time. I first noticed this around Christmas and asked the staff for clarification. I wasn't given a clear explanation--only that with newer dogs in the mix, "that's just how it works out." It was disappointing not to receive a more direct answer. More importantly, I could tell Dakota seemed withdrawn compared to her previous stays. As a long-time, supportive customer, I also felt a lack of consideration for returning clients. Because of these changes, I've decided to board Dakota elsewhere.
