Beth was incredibly thorough, and made sure she knew exactly what we wanted out of the training. During a training session we would discuss the previous week's training and practice, how it went, and what issues might have come up. We would address those, and then move on to learning something new, followed by practice. One thing we found incredibly useful was that Beth takes detailed notes during the session and then writes them up and sends them to you. It's so helpful to have thorough instructions, in her own words, to refer to during the week. Plenty of work ahead of us but we are grateful for Beth! We recently adopted a second rescue dog after falling in love with his cute grin and handsome posture--yeah yeah, I point this out because he is adorable but also because the speed of the decision to bring him home left us scrambling to figure out his behavior in the following weeks (his name is Bricks btw!). It was clear from the beginning that he was uncomfortable around men and that his upbringing was likely difficult. His former humans abandoned him after they had a baby and dear lord I will get emotional if I keep talking about his backstory. Long story short: I contacted Beth to help us deal with certain elements of his behavior that were really concerning--specifically his tendency to lunge at people and dogs when he is on a leash and his sporadic tendency to bark at men. highly recommend Beth and I will tell you that it is worth every penny!! We did three sessions of behavior modification with Beth. My dog presented very very bad behavior problems -- jumping on people, couple incidents of biting, barking at strangers, aggressiveness towards other dogs and humans, all you can think of the bad behaviors! I was super stressed out whenever the guests come over because he was so unpredictable and I had no idea when he would bite. The first class when Beth came over, my dog actually tried 3 times jumping on Beth and bite her, chasing after her legs. (we had the muzzle on) we definitely saw a lot of improvement for the second times she came over and then my dog was slowly becoming a lot less anxious and in mid way of second class he was able to train with her without the muzzle and he did not attack! by the third class he even allows her to rub his belly. Beth is so amazing and the techniques she has taught really works!!! The owner has to take into their actions to in-cooperate her techniques and you will definitely see your dogs improved! I was skeptical at first but then now I am so glad I chose Beth and my dog is now a much happier dog. On other note, Beth is really putting efforts into her clients and teaching. Beth is a miracle worker! Our Old English Sheepdog puppy, Lily, was more than a handful - she is smart, and has way too much energy, and she was a very mouthy puppy.
