Worst service ever. Could not place an online order due to the fact the website wouldn't accept what I wanted. So I called just to save a few minutes for pickup. Refused to help and wanted me to try to remember all the ingredients and do it online. 2 different employees. 1 of them was just not knowledgeable. The other was extremely rude and unwilling to help. I mean where can you go wrong with Cold Stone? Pick your base, add your toppings and them blend them in for you. Served in a waffle cup, or a regular cup, or grab a milkshake. You really can't lose with choosing Cold Stone. The woman working was nice and friendly and made sure that all of the toppings we wanted was nicely mixed together. Overall it is great to go get ice cream and then sit outside and enjoy the heat while we still can. It was delicious! read more

I did this review to raise an unjust rating in my opinion. Yes, Cold Stone is more expensive than the ice cream from the convenience store or a fast food joint. But you get what you pay for. You get quality and variety. I shouldn't have to write this in a review about ice cream but the ice cream is really cold. Because if it wasnt well...you wouldn't have ice cream. An earlier review complained and based the whole review on the stone was not cold. (How could they tell? Did they feel it? Was their ice cream melted?) No one that loves ice cream or any sane person is not going to say Cold Stone's ice cream doesn't taste good. Sometimes, it is busy and there is a wait. It is small and by a movie theater. But you have to wait your turn for others to be served and mixing ice cream with candy takes a little longer. I have never had a bad experience with service here. Omg this is my first time having their ice cream and omg this is so good so I got the original cookie dough ice cream and I put Oreos,m&m's and reccess cups and some sprinkles in and omg its so good and im so advising you to come to this place and get some cuz it's so good and their service is really nice and the place is clean and pretty so ya and they give you a good portion size of it and just ya im for sure coming back to get more in the future :) read more

This is mine and my wife's number one spot to cure our sweet tooth cravings. My wife can't really have dairy so they have a dairy free ice cream which she loves and I like their vanilla light ice cream. They have MANY different options far as ice creams, toppings and cones. They are right next to the movie theater so they have time where they are super busy and slow times but we've never had any issues with quality or service and the staff are always friendly and kind. If I could leave zero stars I would. I have always loved coming to Cold Stone over the years to get quality ice cream and great service but I guess it's true what they say sometimes it's not the atmosphere it's the people. This employee/manager was downright rude and nasty. I wanted a specialty ice cream and normally when you are creating a custom ice cream you get asked what base ice cream or mix ins you would like. Lord forbid you ask to switch flavors because that just simply cannot be done. Next I get charged extra for an tiny squirt of caramel after I have already paid. Had a new employee ring it up while still mixing my order and had to stop to coach the new employee on how to ring up and extra charge. All while her line is building up because she had all employees on my one order including herself. I guess mixing three pints of ice cream is too much work for one person. Mind you we were in no rush and patiently waiting. I am active duty military and the first thing they teach you is utilize your personnel and time wisely. I am hoping that marble slab lives up to the value of treating all their customers with respect because I doubt I will ever be visiting/spending my hard earned money here again. read more

Some people who wrote reviews of this place said that this place is packed every time they go, but for us, that was not the case. But I went there on Saturday night at 9 PM so that's probably why. I got cotton candy ice cream for a change. And for toppings I got gummy bears with SPRINKLES! It was delicious. But we were delayed because there was a woman, and her son and daughter, and they were holding up the line because they were complaining for no reason (not that I know of) and the woman kept saying "I'm allergic to fudge, I'M ALLERGIC TO FUDGE!" But not the store's fault, they were just innocent victims of ridiculous costumers. Overall, I liked it. read more

Rude. Unprofessional. And petty. Ice cream is delicious but the owner Marsha is very rude along with her daughter Morgan. Both have treated me very poorly and unprofessionally. I went in just tonight and got told, with a very smug look on her face, from Morgan "sorry we're too mean to you" when I was polite and patient. The only times I will be coming here again are when the the other owner, PK I believe is name is, is working. He's very polite and social but the others are very rude and unprofessional. So I don't recommend wasting your money for bad customer service :) read more

Pathetic manager sat in the back while the one poor employee served an absolute roomful of customers. We had to wait at least 45 minutes to be served & watched as even more people came in the door. I am puzzled by the rating. This place is awesome. I have been here twice with my boyfriend and both times left with a belly full of ice cream. The only thing I find wrong with this place is that they have too many flavors and well that's not really a bad thing is it. The cashiers/servers are an older man and woman. I think they might be the owners. They are friendly - not the In your face overly friendly (that's just fake, humans aren't supposed to be that way). The place is clean, they have outdoor seating which is nice. It is right next to the movie theater. I'll keep coming back for sure! read more

Perhaps putting this place right next to the movie theater was not such a good idea. It's been there for months, yet you still wait in a LONG line every time you go there. The staff have not gotten better, as I had hoped, and as is the usual rule in Dothan restaurants. They are still clueless, slow, and inept. They also show none of the esprit de corps that is typical of this chain (singing for tips, greeting you loudly and cheerfully). This ice cream shop is a huge disappointment. read more

I have loved Cold Stone for years! I visited the one in Dothan for the first time last year and then again a few months ago, I do have to say the staff HAVE improved dramatically. Their "espirit de corps" is the best I have ever experienced from any Cold Stone I have ever eaten in. Apparently it was a wonderful idea to place it right next to the theatre, hence the reason the line is so LONG, obviously it is not a disappointment and is an amazing ice cream shop. The owners of this chain are not about the customers. I am a big fan of Cold Stone in other areas. I know each one is individually owned. I went into this shop this week, and requested that instead of a full serving of one topping that I would like a 1/2 serving of 2..... Not a big thing, nothing is pre packaged , and its a request that I have made and received in multi locations. This store thought I was asking for the cash out of register and wanted to know who what where and why I would make such a request. at Cold Stone prices..... service is part of the offer, not here and not ever again. read more
