This was my first donut shop in Enterprise, as I just got stationed here in the area. I was very excited after reading the past reviews and even seeing the donuts through the glass. A fellow customer told me that the donuts were great and that my kids would enjoy them. I ordered a dozen assortment of donuts ranging from maple and bacon, glazed, old fashioned and more. The Donuts were hyped up and I must say that my kids and I were let down. They didn't enjoy theirs as much and I wasn't a fan of mine either. The donuts weren't as airy and soft as I am accustomed to. Would I try them again, yes I will, just to see if it was just that particular batch. Downtown Enterprise, Al. has some fine businesses within the historic area. One of them is Downtown Donuts. This small business has done pretty good. They sell mostly donuts, and I have only gotten donuts the two times or so I have visited. Small and barely room for standing, this is a grab and go business. They have tasty treats and getting in and out is mostly simple. There are other bigger name places, but I prefer local small businesses. Downtown Donuts is a place to visit while in Enterprise visiting the only monument to a pest (Boll Weevil). The star deduct is because of the delapidated condition of the main building. A safe entry to treats by the dozen, the business owner has not put their own personal style to it in my opinion. The food however, is very delicious. Drop by for a couple or get a dozen. read more

They are a little pricy if you want to pick up a couple dozen for the office, but okay if you just want a gourmet treat for yourself and a friend. The people are always friendly and patient while I make my difficult decision. The girl who helped me this last time told me you would have to order 4 1/2 dozen to try one of each kind. There is one nice lady and several grumpy employees. We have tried them several times as we try to buy local rather than chain. Their donuts are very inconsistent, often greasy and flavorless.
