Nice visit to this Branch! It was super super crowded and there were no places to eat! We ordered 2 chocolate brownie ice cream with fudge sauce! They were very delicious and creamy. My only complaining that because of the shortage of employees, the stuff were busy, distracted and made my orders incomplete and forgot to add rhe fudge sauce. Also they weren't welcoming or providing nice attitude.

Why I love this place: this is the ONLY ice cream I can put in the freezer and it still taste amazing after some days. Taste will always satisfy your sweet tooth and leave you wanting more! Addressing the horrible ratings: I have not once experienced bad service here. This is the closest location to me and I don't ever regret coming here. Portions may vary but not horrible. It's ice cream and there's not much to complain about or at all. Workers are fast, I've seen lines close to the door. They do they're best to assist every customer diligently.

I was super excited to retry a place I'd only been to once and introduce my husband to the ice cream holy land. The prices aren't exactly cheap but I was not disappointed with what I got for what I spent. I got the Founders Favorite while my husband got a peanut butter concoction, both Love It sized. Will definitely be back for the delicious dessert and perky employees

As their ad says "Seriously, you had me at Oreo", says it all. We stopped by here Sunday after the Kalamazoo Growlers Game. It was the first time I had been in the S. Westnedge location and quite a few years since I had Cold Stone ice cream. I had a gift card and a couple of $1 off coupons from the Growlers game to use. The server behind the counter was friendly and explained how the whole experience works. I chose the Oreo Overload in the Love It size. The sweet cream ice cream made it taste like I was eating a bowl of Oreo filling. And I love the fudge that was added to it. D had the Banana Caramel Crunch, which he really liked. I had no idea they sold Rocky Mountain Chocolates. Nice to know for a special occasion.

Some of the new Rocky Mountain Chocolates selection newly available at this location.

Ok. I've got to review this joint since I think folks have been a bit too hard on them. Yes, their ice cream is a bit melty (that's why it so easily blends with all those amazing mix-ins). Sometimes the portions are a little off (my husband always winds up with significantly more ice than me ... ). But overall ...yummo!

Ice cream was melted in the counter, bad service, they didn't even mix the things in all the way.

A complete nightmare! BEWARE!!…read more The owner Amy is full of herself and has absolutely no professional etiquette whatsoever. Starting with her inability to answer straight forward questions and ending with her backing out of contract and cancelling our order 50 days before my wedding after I already paid the down payment! She cancelled the contract and refunded the down payment I made to hold the date - leaving us to find another cake vendor on short notice! Her excuse? She has worked "for Bert's for 42 years and made over 10,000 cakes and feels like no matter what she does, she won't make me happy." Photo attached. All I did was ask about the pricing for the samples because no other cake vendor had required payment for samples so I didn't know how much they cost. I also asked her which location we should visit to try the samples. Lastly, I told her that I couldn't believe that she was charging us the same amount to deliver the cake across the street as she would charge us if she were driving across town. I didn't say I wouldn't pay for delivery... I just told her I was surprised that she would do that. The other cake vendor we were considering wasn't charging us a delivery fee at all and they are located 30 miles away from our church! I was put off by how unprofessional she was from the beginning when I first reached out last fall. The only reason I decided to finally give Amy a chance is because she was cheaper and right across the street from our church. Now I understand, you get what you pay for...... because Amy is a MESS. Absolutely awful and I feel sorry for anyone who has had to deal with her. I saw in other reviews that she is described as rude, cheap, disorganized, snobby, and that she talks down to customers. I can confirm that she is ALL of these things and worse. The cake isn't even that good and at this point I'd rather buy one from Sam's Club than have to work with Amy and her staff. She doesn't send you a contract until you pay her a down payment, which is strange. Typically you create a contract/agreement, have both parties sign it, and then you ask for the deposit. The contract looked incredibly sketchy - Words were misspelled, font was all over the place, punctuation and grammar were hideous. Photo attached. Just so you know, AMY - Nobody cares HOW MANY YEARS you've been making cakes, HOW MANY CAKES you've made in your lifetime or HOW GREAT YOU THINK THEY TASTE if you continue to be a an inconsiderate, egotistical, uneducated, defensive, stubborn old woman who can't figure out how to treat people and keep your word. That's just bad business... I don't care who you are. I'll "wish you the best" as well...

Did I mention it was founded by a 15-year-old? Following her social media posts this summer and seeing this young entrepreneur's beaming smile and oh-so-instagrammable baked goods was one of those little things that helped fill my cup back up in a year so determined to empty it. When I picked up my first cupcake order this week, I had the opportunity to meet the owner, her tech wizard mother, and her loyal friend and coworker Arianna. Got goosebumps upon goosebumps hearing her story and her mission. Layla said the idea coalesced when she was brainstorming a business plan for a fourth grade economics project, and she decided not only was she going to pursue it, she wasn't going to wait until she was an adult to do so. She loved baking and it was incredibly important to her to help those less fortunate, so a bakery whose proceeds would help the homeless and nonprofits in our community was what she wanted to do. And she did! If you they aren't bananas busy when you stop in (and they probably will be -- the phone was ringing pretty constantly this week since they'd announced on social media that they had a few extra cupcakes available for pick-up that day), do be sure to take a moment chat with them and their enthusiasm for baking and their commitment to community. And then ... bite into your cupcake. And sigh out loud. Just the right amount of moisture without being too heavy. Silky icing applied in Goldilocks-just-right quantities. Baked in small batches with love. They've been offering quite a few vegan treats in the last few weeks, so I absolutely wanted to give those a try and was supremely impressed. The texture of my Spiced Caramel Apple cupcake was nearly the same as a regular cupcake made with egg, and the flavor infused by including apple cider and applesauce into the mix was incredible. I'm widely known in my friend group for my sublime spice cake -- I'm going to have to hope none of my friends try these because they're bomb.com and sooooo much better than my spice cake. So much so that I'm planning to try adding some cider to the recipe next time. I also was able to try one of the "Mom's Favorite" -- yellow cupcake with chocolate frosting topped with cookie crumbles. Mom's got fabulous taste, and an even more amazing kid! Patrons can visit the website early in the week (place your order Monday or Tuesday) and pick up their treats on Fridays. During the summer, the pick-up hours were 10 am to 2 pm but during the school year they're now 3 - 6 pm. Hours are expected to expand in October with Wednesday and Thursday hours being added. You can go inside to get your items (there's no street parking on that block but there's a complimentary lot behind the building that can be accessed from either of the neighboring side streets), or pull up to one of the pick-up signs (labeled #1 and #2) and call into the store to have your order delivered to your car. In addition to the weekly specials available for pick-up orders, the business also accepts special orders for parties and events. Items available for special order include cake pops, pretzel sticks, rice crispie treats (loaded with toppings or plain), brownies (loaded or plain), cupcakes, and specialty cupcakes (gluten-free or vegan).
