On a positive note, the quality of their clothing is great. Shipping and customer service, on the other hand, is not good . I placed 2 different orders around Sept 18. Both had multiple items that ended up being back ordered. I was not given an estimate as to when I could expect the back ordered items. I sent an email to their customer service dept. asking what the status of my back orders was. I did not get a response. So weeks later, I called customer service. I was told that 2 of the items should ship around November 7, but the other item was not expected until January 30! She usually orders only sale items so hasn't had some of the problems others have expressed until today. She was interested in a red sweater for Christmas but when she went to order she saw the small print indicating it wouldn't be shipped until 2/01. This is regarding their online ordering and the hidden fees for joining their rewards program. After four months, I was charged nearly $70 to be in their rewards program. I did one order back in July and the clothes were too big. I returned everything for a refund. Also, they charge you right away for your order and then you need to watch because they will have a pending charge looking like they are charging again. After contacting them, they explained that this is how their system works and the pending charge will go away. It was in my account for two months as I waited 6 weeks for one of the items. Received email notification that my order would arrive on a date that came & went -- and actually arrived 9 days after date specified. And only 1 of the 3 items arrived. Though of course credit card was charged in a timely manner, and for all items. I called company and of course, as always, rep stated items are on "back order." And to expect a wait of 2 additional weeks for remainder of my order. If order arrives when rep stated, the date will be over 2 months from order date. I can't understand how ALL merchandise is ALWAYS on back order. I asked rep if merdhanise comes to customer directly from manufacturer outside the USA, bypassing any time in a Coldwater Creek facility. Thought that might explain constant delays. Was given a standard response of "items will be coming to you ..." blah blah. Another non-answer . So who knows where items come from or why the delays. They have some nice clothes, but their shipping times and customer service are terrible. Had to wait a month for items bought for Christmas and one item they sent a dress instead of a top. Of course the top I wanted was sold out when I got the dress and customer service was useless and very difficult to understand, as English was not their primary language. Obviously an offshore call center. Have an order pending now, over a month in wait. Again customer service is useless and difficult to understand. First of all I do all my clothes shopping online across various companies. I know each vendor's sizing and my fits. I like Coldwater Creek sizing because I prefer the little more ease I get when I order my regular size. I'm tall with long arms and I've never been shorted in the sleeves like I have with other women's' brands. The clothes are comfortable and have nice styling details. I always get compliments because the clothes look effortless and classily distinctive, yet individualistic. They carry tonal colors in better fabrics. And now the downside: Their delivery service is the absolutely the very worst. An expensive blouse that I had been mulling over since I saw it in Nov '24, I ordered from the catalog in Jan. It didn't show up until the end of March. They seem to be selling clothes they do not have yet. So I had a phone discussion with a customer service rep to check the availability of clothing I wanted to order for my end of Mar trip and that order, because it was already in stock, showed up on time. So I thought the trick to getting a timely order was to order from what was already in their warehouse. Which is why I only shop their sale pages now. That stuff is already on the shelf it seems. The new stuff that seduces you in the catalog and online, once it gets there, it seems to go on sale in only a couple of weeks. The trick is to call customer service for your item's availability before you count on it for an event. Also, CWC does not email you about whether they have shipped. You have to go to your account page. I ordered 4 sale items 3 days ago and there's been no notifications yet. My account page says they shipped. Really? They used to be better. If they keep stiffing their customers though, they'll fold. I'll be sorry but it seems the only ones in CWC who knows what they're doing are the buyers selecting the styles, colors and fabrics. I am a faithful customer from before their bankruptcy, and I was very satisfied with both their service and the quality of their clothes until just before they declared bankruptcy. at that time I had placed and paid for some orders that never arrived and was finally notified that they would never would've arrive because they were bankrupt. I was glad when they reopened online and my first few orders were handled satisfactorily. But then recently I realized that I was being charged around 16 or $17 a month for being a member of their loyalty club that I never knew I joined. I canceled that after much hassle and numerous phone calls. Then about a month ago I placed an order for some summer pants in preparation for a trip that I was planning. I requested and paid for overnight shipping. The order was only partially filled, and then it was a week later and it was not sent via overnight shipping. The missing item have yet to be filled or even any notification as to when I could expect them. I just sent them a notice complaining of the above situation, and ask for a refund as well as an explanation or apology to justify why I should do business with them again or recommend it to my friends or associates. My inclination is that I should not do business with them again. It would be one thing if they were incompetent/under staff/overwhelmed, but the lack of responsiveness and the tricky way in which they try to sign you up for their loyalty club smacks of dishonest and unethical business practices. They do not deserve to stay in business with the current owners. I still like their clothes... Never received an email confirmation, waited and waited. Tried to log in and track my order it said no order found. Has to call customer service who informed me everything I ordered was on back order. Here it is Oct 2 and I'm still waiting for the jacket. I made a single, first-time purchase from Coldwater Creek in November 2024. Without my realizing, that transaction led to my being enrolled in a "rewards program" that I have been charged $16.99/month for since December 2024. Upset, I called my credit card company first, and they advised me to contact the merchant since I was trying to dispute more than six months of charges. When I called Coldwater customer service, the representative agreed to cancel my "membership" as well as to refund me for six months of charges. (She said that she could not refund me for the December and January charges.) On the advice of my credit card company, I would not end the call until I received two emails: one that confirmed cancellation of membership and the second confirming that I would be refunded six months of membership. (I had to press for the second email and also for a specified refund amount. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the rep to indicate the amount in the email, however.) In my experience, Coldwater is quite sneaky and not to be trusted. was a frequent shopper of both the stores and catalog and was sorry when they went bankrupt so I was excited to see a return of the clothes I used to love. However, if this company continues the current order and return process, it will be again be going bankrupt. 1) The clothes are expensive, and while what I received was of good quality, I'm not sure a linen top is worth $90. Plus $15 for shipping is a bit high, especially since returns are $9.95, so it can be $25 to try a blouse. 2) Exchanges are difficult as the customer service reps never seem to understand what I'm requesting (and other questions aren't always answered correctly--I suspect an overseas call center). I had two items to return and one to exchange and I had to put them in two separate packages and thus was charged $9.95 for each package. While the shipping is free to receive an exhcanged item, charging me $9.95 to return was too high. 3) Returns are sketchy and it's difficult to determine if I'm getting the correct refund as there is no accounting for fees and refund amount in the emailed confirmation of the refund approval. I'm still not sure I received the correct refund I was due for a blouse. 4) More on returns: I returned a tunic shirt and never received a refund approval even though the tracking number showed it had been delivered. I called after two weeks and the rep then said, "Yes, it was received." And all of a sudden I received an emailed refund approval! That was on June 17 and I still haven't received the refund on my credit card. [Update: I called & the refund was on my credit card but it was in split into two credits, which was confusing.] Bottom line: While I have loved some of their clothes, no matter how enticing a product appears I will no longer be doing business with CC and will stick to ordering clothes from JJill and other online catalogs that do a better job in customer service and returns. read more

"Happyreturns" my behind!! I had purchased a $99.95 item from the CWC website. It was supposed to be a gift which did not meet the recipient's expectations. It doesn't make me happy, but I sorta understand the $9.95 fee to return the item. But to charge me an ADDITIONAL $19.99 (= 20%!!) in taxes/fees is outrageous. With that they have not only lost me as a customer, but I'll also make sure to share this information with my sizable social network, so that my contacts think 2x before ordering any of their Christmas gifts from them. Update: When I started the return yesterday, my refund showed some amount over $70. I dropped the merchandise off today and just saw that the refund I received shows $69.41. I cannot find any record of the amount I saw yesterday and obviously the amount of the difference is not the issue here rather than there *is a difference, as it just shows how incredibly petty they are.
