I explained I'm a renter…read moreand that my landlord, who regularly uses this company and has an active account, had already received an invoice and mailed a check for the work. The receptionist refused to schedule the appointment without direct authorization from the landlord, which I understand, but when I offered to provide my landlord's number so they could call and confirm, she told me "that's not my job" and spoke in a very dismissive tone. When I asked about a shut-off valve mentioned on the invoice, she repeated herself rudely and when I questioned her tone, she sarcastically replied, became defensive and retorted with"can I talk now?" At that point, I ended the call and contacted my landlord to make other arrangements. I then called Pendleton Plumbing, who were courteous, helpful, and even contacted my landlord directly for authorization. It was night and day in terms of service. A little professionalism and basic phone etiquette go a long way--unfortunately, that was completely missing in this experience.

Clean job site, on budget and our complicated high-peaked roofs look fantastic. We especially appreciate the extra things they did in dealing with previous design flaws which had led to leaks. Jose and the crew did a good job of communicating what was going on and worked cheerfully throughout the crazy weather this summer. Steve Bushman was always quick to respond, gave us a nicely detailed bid and kept in contact throughout the installation process. She said he would be back in a couple hours and would ask him, then call me. I left my pone number with her to call. The flooring I wanted is from a major manufacturer and should have been an easy special order. I never received a return call from Chloe or her boss. Why would I ever set foot in that business again?
