The billing team here is awful- lost my job due to the company closing down. Called in for a payment plan when I started working. The woman I spoke with was very rude telling me i never had a payment plan previously or made a payment. Asked for a manager to share the bad experience as well as ask some questions about the bill break down. Instead the same woman called me back and left me a VM stating there is nothing anyone will do for me left collections number (which she already provided) Called back again a month later spoke with someone who made my appt told me to set up a payment plan on the web. Sent a message to the doctor about a question for my up coming MRI that needed to be done. Was hoping to have it done before my $250 visit with her so i can have more information for our visit and had a question about her thoughts on contrast. And instead they cancelled my appt . Without my knowledge ( that i requested time off work for) Told me they don't have any other medical advice for me . Didn't even call me with a payment option or advising what needed to be paid prior to cancelling. Called back in asked for the manager again who then had her employee call me back to tell she is too busy and she doesn't believe the other rep would've ever been rude to me because she knows her personally (even though the calls are recorded) not willing to pull the call or resolve . This would be the second person essentially accusing me- Visits are booked out longer& at this point because of the horrible customer service i don't even want an appt here and will take care of the balance with collections instead of through them. All of this while dealing with several serious health issues! Major communication issue here! Horrible customer service- will miss Dr Burkman, sometimes people fall on hard times and paying out of pocket can be hard temporarily! read more

While both Dr. Burkman and Dr. Cartabiano were great, the overall experience with the office was not. Anytime you have to call expect to wait on hold for at least 20 minutes before getting to talk to anyone. And right after I established my primary care with Dr. Cartabiano, they decided to switch to a "hybrid concierge" model, charging a monthly membership fee for primary care, but they still bill your insurance. So basically, double dipping. I told them I didn't want the membership since I have really good insurance but am on a fixed income due to disability because of MS, they told me I could only see a primary care doctor if I had a membership. She told me I could only see her going forward if I had a membership so she will just cancel my appointment. They wouldn't even work with their already established patients with good insurance. It's devastating for people with chronic illness to be abandoned by a practice that still accepts insurance but also wants to charge you monthly fees. read more

These people discriminate against there patients. Not only did they give me a medicine they knew I was allergic to. After doing that as a mess up, they told me that "they are not a fit" and I quote Courtney the manager. When I told them I was Jewish and I couldn't pick up my prescription that they screwed up on after 5 o'clock (shabbat). For their mess up, they're telling me that they're dropping me as a patient. I've never seen such a dysfunctional practice and will be reporting them to all bureaus under discrimination. read more

Don't ever go here. My insurance accepted them for acupuncture. I called to set up an appointment. I told them I have been doing acupuncture for years, but was just switching because they took my insurance. I filled out their questionnaire, then went to the appointment. Well the doc is trying to sell me everything under the sun. Then he finally does the acupuncture. I had soft tissue damage in my upper back from a car injury. So he decides to put the needles in my chest. Nerves have long pathways so I figured I'd give it a shot this way. Not only did it do nothing, but unlike my previous doctor, who I've gone back to, and will actually pay the extra money, the needles sites hurt the next day. Then I keep waiting for a statement to pay my $25 co-pay. A year later I get a bill for $290.They are claiming that's the fee for a new patient visit. When you go to a doctor for a physical for the first time do you pay a first time fee? Of course not. Now my insurance company is equally to blame as they said this was not in network when they sent me an email that it was. I told them this office is defrauding them because the acupuncture is a separate additional $95 charge, of which I should owe the $25. Well they "as a courtesy" paid it. Still leaving me to pay $25 over a year, and half after the "treatment." Bottom line is this group doesn't listen to its patients, overcharges, and tries to sell you on stuff you don't want. read more

While the people here are very kind, and probably great if you have auto-immune issues or food allergies, for actual medical care with a staff who knows how to deal with insurance, not so much. I was thrilled with all the time spent with me during my "new patient" appointment and felt good about changing to this office for my PCP. I liked Dr. Vitali (even though she is very young!) until I needed actual medical care. I came in with pain in my coccyx and an attempt to get my insurance to approve proper imaging for diagnosis was bungled over and over and in the 3 plus weeks of this, my doctor never called to speak directly with to check in how I was doing. I called the office several times telling them that the pain was getting worse and asking for updates but I was always shunted to the either the front desk person (who had no idea what was going on) or Dr. Vitalli's medical assistant. All the information I recieved about their sending the incorrect CPT code for the required test came by speaking myself to my insurance company. In the end, they denied the necessary MRI because the Dr.s office didn't send the information needed, not because I didn't medically need the test. Having moved on, I have had the proper tests and there is a serious medical condition that they missed entirely. read more

I've been a patient here for about 7 or 8 years now and I have consistently received excellent care. The practice is staffed by caring and dedicated doctors and the medical assistants and office staff are all very pleasant and patient people. I've never encountered a grumpy person working here! The whole atmosphere of the office is very calming and comforting. I love that the doctors here work on finding the root cause of symptoms, not just address the symptoms and let them go on forever. During my visits I feel that my doctors truly listen to me and, in fact, are able to take time to listen to me. They see me as a whole person and take into account what is going on in my life so that they can get a holistic, comprehensive view of my health. Please, for the sake of your health, go see their doctors! Take charge of your medical health...stop treating your symptoms of unknown origin and TREAT THE ORIGIN! At this practice, there are a few naturopathic doctors--all wonderful. But if you're like me and have an autoimmune disorder, you'll prefer a a DO, or a Doctor of Osteopathic medicine. She is a PCP! She can prescribe. She can carry out your physicals, your yearly tests, your lab work, etc. She is WONDERFUL. We met today and in an hour and a half she listened thoroughly to my entire history of health. She made sure I knew she cared and was deeply invested in my well-being. A nice change of pace from my old PCP who gave me firm 'no's' without elaborating on WHY he said no. in an hour and a half, she sent me off with a summary and a PLAN, extensive lab work to be done ASAP, and will immediately address my requests as soon as she is able to evaluate my lab work findings. Talk about progress! Take the best possible care of yourself and go to a DO. Treat the origin, not just the mystery symptoms. read more

My OB/GYN went out of business so I looked into an alternative path for medical care. I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Tonya Pasternak at this location. She was very thorough on my first visit. I had never been to see a natural health practitioner prior to this visit, so I was pleasantly surprised. The wait was very minimal, but I must advise you THIS OFFICE DOES NOT ACCEPT INSURANCE, except for OB/GYN services (annual exams). I had a total of three visits. On the first visit she had me describe my health history, current symptoms, ordered specialty lab work, and then made some recommendations of things to complete by my follow up visit. On the second visit, I went over my recommended items, got the results of my lab work, and then she preceded to make 3 tinctures of medicinal remedy using flower extracts and recommended vitamin supplements. Within one month of my second appointment I felt much better, but was really unable to measure the results without doing more extensive follow-up lab work which I thought was pretty pricey and time consuming. On the third visit she completed my annual exam, and advised if I had normal results, I wouldn't have to repeat for another 5 years. This surprised me, as I was always advised women should have annual exams Annually. This is why its called an ANNUAL EXAM. Anyway, the experience was a good one overall, but I did feel the doctor wasn't really able to relate with me on a personal level. At times she seemed very meek, as if she didn't really know how to treat me. At the time I had a lot going on, but not enough to look bewildered at times like a deer caught in the headlights!!! I believe in Naturopathic care, but not everyone has the means to afford it or the time for the numerous follow-up appointments. Your health is serious business, and with all of the information I received, this establishment is very good at what they do. The office is very nice & the staff are very kind. I was able to get an appointment with a primary care doctor as well as see a naturopath for Lyme disease. I did like both physicians and feel like the place has great potential for certain patients. I had waited months to get in to see the naturopath for Lyme disease. Mind you I was very sick prior to seeing her and I had treated with antibiotics previously, but I was still suffering so I thought she would really know her stuff and I would begin treating properly. She was knowledgeable about herbs and homeopathic remedies which I admired but I wasn't getting any better after over a year seeing her. Looking back there were some red flags I should of noticed. I would ask her questions about Lyme / co infections and she would have no answers. In the end she basically told me she can't help me and recommend I go to a Lyme clinic in Massachusetts. Which Luckily I didn't take the referral and now have a more suitable Lyme doctor who is very knowledgeable and actually treats Lyme and will get you proper testing. If you are suffering from Lyme do not go here. I was never offered any acupuncture or other healing options- the website they have is pretty deceiving. Lyme disease is very serious if left untreated and I feel I wasted so much time and money going here. read more

This office has given me my life back. I was/am suffering from menieres Disease which is vertigo, tinnitus and hearing loss. The tinnitus I had been suffering with for over 10 months was unbearable. It was an AIR Horn constantly on in my air at a LOUD volume. Came here after exhausting all other medical care professionals. My Primary care Dr., My first ENT, then Dr. Eisen ENT extraordinaire, neurologist, physical therapy and mental health therapy. Dr. Edgerton changed my diet (Lower caffeine, different fruit sugars, REDUCE salt intake) and performed ACUPUNCTURE. IT worked! I love the Acupuncture, it reduced my tinnitus until I could function normally again. I still go regularly as I began in 2017. Please before going to this practice read the comments by Penny and Jody. The staff are pleasant and likable until you need them for a complex medical problem. ( note I saw two of the osteopaths and one naturopath here, never saw an of the acupuncturists). You may have sen their advertising that they work as a team with all ages and all conditions. This was certainly not my experience and remember if something seems to be to good to be true it usually is. I came hoping to have a combination of craniosacral therapy, spinal manipulation and acupuncture to help with long term problems caused by a complex neurosurgery decades ago. When I saw them I was a practicing PT with extensive background in manual therapy so I had some idea what type of manual therapy would work best and having seen multiple practitioners before I also knew what would fail. I initially saw Dr.Pasternack who according to their literature al does craniosacral. She listened longer than the average MD but not long enough. When I mentioned that I needed cranial work and needed attention to the altered shape of may skull not just energy work she panicked stating" i am not the therapist for you, you KNOW what you want." ( a very telling statement). She wanted me to go to a chiropracter- FYI if you havent been to one they only spend afew minutes with you per visit. Also saw Dr Jackau and I had asked before i scheduled a visit with her if she did muscle energy( a manual technique) to readjust the spine. The answer( after the staff supposedly checked with her) is that she would be glad to do this, When I saw her muscle energy was not among the techniques she was familiar with which was very disturbing( in otherwords, they told me what I wanted to hear to get me to show up.Also disturbing was the fact that Dr, jackau did no physical exam of any kind during the first visit and was not available again for several weeks. On to Dr. Eckert( another osteopath). This visit was the last one I made to this practice. I asked her directly if she did muscle energy, she said yesand I asked her to evaluate and treat my C1 rotation. She asked me to lie down on my back and proceeded to pull on my neck and do myofascial on other areas of my body that irritated my neck( she simly ignored my request for muscle energy), I requested she return to my neck( which was my chief complaint) and she said she didn't want to work there. My upper C spine complaints were worse by the time i hit the parking lot. It took afew weeks to return to my baseline pain. In summary this practice is over booked, is going to be very nervous/ or ignore you if you are a medical professional and insist on having input into your treatment plan( Isaw no reason to repeat strategies that have failed).all medical practices should be honest about what skills/ knowledge their staff has, this one definitely is not. I resent them wasting my time, my symptoms were very limiting and last fall I had to retire prematurely. Made an appointment here and wrote it down in my calendar like I always do as I tend to be pretty organized. They called me up a day before my appointment and asked why I wasn't in the office. I explained to her my appointment wasn't until tomorrow. She seemed to have an attitude and asked if I wanted to set up an appointment for tomorrow which I replied yes and asked for the time they originally set me up with for that day which conveniently was open. As I'm driving there they call me up and ask me about a prescription I needed refilled and if I wanted to set up an appointment with the DR. To have it filled and I said sure I'm actually on my way there now for my appointment which we then got disconnected. I get there about 2 minutes later wait about ten minutes and a receptionist comes to me and says we are sorry but your DR. Isn't here. Which I replied,"we just made this appointment yesterday how could she not be here"?Her reply, "would you like to reschedule"? I was so annoyed I just left and haven't been back since.
