MEEC is truly amazing…read more When we realized our son had a speech delay, he was 2 1/2 years old and hadn't began to talk. We didn't know what to do or how to help him. Then a friend recommended MEEC, and we cannot thank the preschool teachers, Speech Therapists or adminstration enough. Every staff member is caring, professional and incredibly patient with the students and parents. Now our son is in third grade and he is thriving in school and social situations. He is now on track to not need Speech Therapy very soon. We also sent our daughter to MEEC for preschool and she didn't have any speech or socializing issues and we are so happy and lucky MEEC provided an excellent preschool experience. My family cannot recommend MEEC enough.

When our home district shut down and placed my two special needs preschoolers on a remote learning screen I knew they needed more. MEEC welcomed them in with open arms and they have blossomed in just these last two months. I only wish I had found them sooner. The early intervention in this critical time period for preschoolers is second to none. The dedication and love of this staff in a period of turbulence in our world with the COVID situation is truly remarkable. I cannot think of a better place for parents to send their children. I cannot possibly put into words what they have done for our children and our family. I can't wait to see what the next months bring. Julie P.

I'm not 100% sure how you write a review of your ol' college, but here it goes:…read more I thought long and hard about giving BW a less than perfect star rating due to things I'm a little bitter about (*cough* school loan debt *cough* no jobs after college *cough*) but then I realized all those things had nothing to do with the great experience I had here. I'll explain: After high school I went to John Carroll. I have no idea why, other than it had a pretty campus, but everything else fell flat for me there. It just wasn't the school for me. I was looking for a warm, social environment with great professors and ratings. So I transferred and found that at BW! (And yes, I went there when it was BWC, not this University stuff they have going on now... but I digress.) Overall, I had a complete and utter blast in college (met my very best friend!), which was exactly what I wanted. The broadcasting dept. was just getting started with their TV program, BuzzTV and my advisor got me right into higher level journalism classes I couldn't get into at JCU (mostly because they didn't even have a good broadcasting program there when I went.) It was nice to get right into classes that actually had something to do with my dream career. Additionally the professors didn't waste any time telling us exactly what it was going to be like "out there," which gave me a much better idea of what I was getting myself into. The few liberal arts classes I did have to take were MY CHOICE--which was refreshing. Like, in my case, I didn't want to take a foreign language so I had the option of taking some pretty sweet history/religion courses that fulfilled those requirements. I absolutely could not get enough of these courses, especially since I got to choose one of my favorite profs. The housing, food, and meal card situation was pretty nice--especially since surrounding restaurants accepted our meal cards. The bookstore had tons of electronics which sort of chiseled away at my food funds, but whatever. The books themselves can get pricey and there's no off-campus stores that offer used books--so that sucked. They did offer a buyback program that only half raped you, so that was nice. Parking would be one of my only gripes, but when is that ever really nice unless you're an upper classman? Just watch out for those pesky campus parking tickets... lol. Plus, the campus is relatively small and the buildings are all within close walking distance. Greek life (I know I'm losing half of you here) was awesome. I loved the social aspect and you can't beat the Alpha Phis! Clearly I was interested in more of the social aspect of school... but I did maintain my grades and even made it to some classes (probably hungover, but who's judging?) Things I wish I would have spent more time with: The Career Department. I just didn't hear much about it when I was there and it looked so small--but I hear from other folks that it's actually pretty good. For me? It didn't help--I only made like 2 visits. I was still stuck in the mindset that I was going to become a reporter right out of college... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! #fail Then again, I have a much better job now than I could have ever imagined. (*wink, wink*)

Baldwin Wallace University is a nice college campus. I visited in May 2026 when a friend invited me…read moreand a few others to go eat with him at their dining hall since he had some meal plans left. I came on the last Friday of the semester (last day of classes). I came during lunch time and arrived alone as the other friends invited couldn't come. When I arrived on campus, there were signs leading me to Strosacker Hall which is where I needed to go. I appreciated the big parking lot which is free. I entered Durst Welcome Center to get help leading me to the entrance of Strosacker Hall and the student worker was helpful in directing me at which point I found my friend. I visited Strosacker Hall (Student Union building) which is where the dining hall is. The options for lunch were quite good. I chose rice and beef which came with green and red peppers. I also got apple juice, a cookie, and a small red velvet Bundt cake. I left full and satisfied. My friend enjoys being an undergraduate student here so if you are looking for a small liberal arts University then go and visit the campus of Baldwin Wallace and meet some staff members. They offer bachelor and masters degree programs in addition to certificate programs. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 83/250 total reviews in 2026 - 924 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 15 May 2026

The Polaris restaurant, "Mise en Place" (a French phrase defined by the Culinary Institute of…read moreAmerica as "everything in place"), is open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during the school year. Mise en Place is operated by the students in the Chef Training program. Went the first time this school year and it exceeded my expectations. Last year had some bad service and not so great food. Decided to try again with a new student year. Sure glad I did! Ordered the salmon meal, $11. Includes a homemade roll, fresh vegetable, rice (I got double veg instead), iced tea, and a chocolate torte for dessert. Salmon had a maple whiskey sauce and it was grilled on a cedar plank - perfectly done.. I could eat it every day, enjoyed it that much. The massive Corned beef Reuben sandwich $8 was made with house cooked corned beef that was not fatty at all. They use a swirl rye bread and don't skimp on kraut or cheese. It came with a huge 1/2 dill pickle and potato salad. Also ordered the white truffle mac n cheese $11 topped with roasted winter vegetables which came with a roll, drink and dessert. Desserts are always a stand out here. Today was an apple struesel ala mode and a rich chocolate raspberry torte. Always save room for dessert - don't miss them! Weekly menu includes soups, sandwiches, salads, entrees and fantastic desserts. Chef O, the instructor for the program, previously worked at the Pomeroy House and you will see some of their recipes included in the menu rotation. For instance, the Pomeroy Salad is a staple. So coming here is a no brainer - get a gourmet meal at a Denny's price :) Notes: The restaurant is operated and staffed with students. Sometimes it can be a bit of a wait to get your meal. Plan accordingly, don't go if you are in a rush. Only open for lunch during the school year. Sometimes it is tough to get a table. Calling ahead for reservation is strongly suggested.. I feel this place is a hidden gem. Where else can you get a full lunch with beverage and dessert for $11? Reservations are highly recommended. My son attended day care here when he was 12 months old. It was a horrible experience and I've…read moresince been telling anyone I know that is looking for childcare to avoid this place like the plague. My son came home with bite marks and there was no mention of anything from his teacher. The teacher in this classroom was usually chatting with another employee upon pick up while my 12 month old was in the playpen area with a screen playing. To get to his classroom I had to pass their prek or preschool class and they were usually watching movies without an adult present. I dropped off and picked up at various times in the day and at times I would see what looked to be a parent volunteer reading to those kids. That was the only adult I noticed besides the directors daughter that I saw once with this class.l and on that occasion she was texting on her phone while the kids ate lunch. My son frequently came home with a bad diaper rash that would be treated at home. I discovered that they weren't putting any cream on him and when I inquired as to why I was told that I had to sign a medical release form for DESITIN or any other "OTC" diaper rash cream. Seriously?! The negligence of their staff was truly astounding. I read every word of the welcome paperwork I was given and even spoke to the director myself and she told me that all I had to bring was diapers. They never mentioned this at all. My child suffered so much from this place that it's taken me 7 months to even write this review. I've since met a babysitter who used to work there and her account of this place matches the really bad review that has been posted here previously. Whenever I asked his teacher anything she would quickly tell me how busy they were or how they were helping take care of a 3 month old who wasn't even supposed to be in that classroom. When I stopped bringing my son here no one even called me to follow up so I guess they're used to angry parents not returning. We used a daycare out of state prior to this and never had any issues
