College Inn has been a Central Denver staple since 1958, with two happy hours daily and plenty of bar grub to wash it down. Service is fast and friendly. Our server was knowledgeable and shared her food recommendations. Trying to be a little healthy, I had their pimento cheese chicken sandwich as a lettuce wrap with their green chile on the side. Green chile had ground meat and a nice spice, and the chicken was tender. Split a starter with the group--crispy chicken bites with tots. These were also cooked well and came with a side of buffalo sauce and ranch for dipping. Lauren and Linda are always so friendly! They know what we want to drink and have it ready when we get to the counter. All the food is amazing. This is where you come if you are looking for really good bar food from the sandwiches and wings, to the nachos and tots; they even have the best brownie desert. Service is great. Whatever game you're tryna watch is always on. Burgers, wings (dry rub with buffalo on side), and nachos (I love with beef) always come out quick hot and awesome. Wow, I almost forgot this place existed. I had not been here for close to two decades. Back in the day, it was one of my places to go get a beer and some wings. And, despite the gentrification, some would say improvement, of the general neighborhood around here, it still is. Not much has changed. Pretty much still the same interior, and the menu has not varied much over the years, at least in my fuzzy memory. I popped in here after a movie at the nearby AMC theater a couple months back. Went yesterday with my boyfriend for the first time. We were looking to just get some casual good eats and a drink so we stumbled across this on the internet and decided to give it a try! We're originally from New York so we are pretty big critics of food and we had nothing but good things to says. The wings were incredible! So tender they fell off the bone as you bit into them. I had the chicken bacon ranch wrap and holy shit it was amazing. Great ratios between all of the things on it. With wraps I feel like they usually have too much of one thing and not of another but this one was perfect. My boyfriend took one bite and ended up eating my whole other half! He had the Cajun chicken sandwich and it was so good! The chicken was tender and not dry/loaded up with sauce. It was actually really good! You order on your own at the bar and they bring It to your table. I wasn't looking for high end dining experience, just a bar with some good food! And it was! the bartenders were extremely nice and when they bring over your food they asked if we wanted anything else to drink and brought it to us. 5/5! We will be back! read more

I hadn't been here in the better part of a decade, and the place hasn't changed much if at all. Classic dive with internet jukebox. It was mobbed for St. Patrick's Day but the wings we ordered came quickly and were as delicious as we remembered. The egg rolls were good too. If you're going to have TouchTunes you cannot skip customers songs. Some songs cost more than others - could be 2 credits 6 credits etc When you skip someone's song you actually just cost the customer more money. read more

Classic bar and a great value! Nightly appetizer specials are a real bargain. An individual can have a good night out here for around $30. Not too many places like this still around for working class folks. They have Labatt on tap as well read more

The only reason I'm giving this place 2 Stars is because it has a GREAT location. Other than that.. I would NEVER recommend this spot for anyone, ever, period. The bartender was beyond rude, the food tastes like you're eating actual garbage, and the ambiance reminded me of a sleezy 80s dive bar. If you want to get sh*t on by rude people, this is a great spot for you! Never again will I give them my hard earned money. read more

College Inn is a great local dive bar. They have tons of games including Big Buck Hunter, Photo Hunt, Pool and more. It's a fun place to come and hang out as long as you know that you're going to a dive bar that has carpeting (i think) and other old outdated things. The food here is actually really solid. I'm a big fan of the Relleno Burger and my wife loves their quesadilla. The service is pretty slow, but then again you're at a dive bar so I think that is on par with what should be expected. TV setup is just ok for games, but again I sound like a broken record but it's a dive bar so can't expect the best. read more

Lots of regs drowning their sorrows at the bar, as if you'd stepped into a film noir. Servers are nice, efficient in a get-the-drinks out kind of way. Limited bar food menu with fried stuff, burgers, sandwiches, and salads. The food is good, delivered hot and fairly quickly. We like the black and blue burger and the gyros sandwich. 5 stars because the performance matches the ambition. Not the place foe a posh meal, romantic date , or culinary exploration. College Inn continues to be a neighborhood place for awesome wings, bar food and adult beverages. My favorite food item is the wings. They are fried or breaded and tossed in a choice of 5 different sauces. You get a few carrot sticks and celery along with ranch or blue cheese to dip in. The boulder gold sauce is a good mix of savory and sweet without much heat. If you want to kick it up a notch try the sriracha-honey, which is sweet on the front end and hot at end. For me it is spicy enough to keep grabbing wing after wing. There is a mad dog hot that I haven't tried as uber spicy is not my jam. The server Andrew was very friendly. Food and service was fine. We came on a Sunday and once the Broncos game ended and music was turned on, I paid for a bunch of songs to play via TouchTunes. Others had also done this and by the time my songs were about to play, they turned the jukebox off and put a different football game on the speakers. Obviously I can't just sit and wait for hours until this new game ends to hear my music so I basically threw that money away. If you're a fan of Alabama football, College Inn is a pretty flawless game day experience. If you're not a fan of Alabama football, College Inn might not be for you on account of sub par bar food albeit at reasonable prices. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? College Inn has all the pieces. They're got a pretty broad food and drink menu, reasonable prices, and typically a pretty strong game day experience. Of particular note is that the servers have a system in place to where it's unlikely that you ever go more than twenty or so minutes without being checked in on. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? Prices are reasonable at College Inn, as you might expect. Bar entrees built for sharing hover just above $10.00 or so, and drinks specials can secure you drinks for under $5.00 each, which is a win. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? The bar food at College Inn, while affordable, is simply not that good. The pork green chili was fine although doubtfully made in house, and the wings were mediocre at best as were the Chicken Sliders. Single Star. Star 5: Would you be excited to go back? Don't bother! I live across street and dogs allowed on patio but no one will come take your order so if you're alone, you have to find a random person to watch your dog when you order. I guess you have to be a local drunk to actually have your dog on the patio cause they came out as I was having my drink and told me my dog had to b tied up outside patio?! So b happy if you're a local drunk with a dog. I had to dump My drink outside patio and leave! Was so humiliating. I will never go back or recommend. We have lived in the area for over 40 years. We have seen lots of changes and dealt with them. Today when we went to our favorite local bar, we were disappointed to see they changed the menu again. We had a new salad which was okay, but upset that they took away the Cobb salad. My husband was also surprised to eat a piece of basil in his salad- which is probably meant for the pizzas. We told the manager, he investigated, and then told us that the spinach and basil were next to each other in the kitchen and that some basil more than likely made it into our salad. At that point my husband could not finish his salad. The manager did not apologize or offer a discount for their mistake. He was rather cold. On top of that, prices have gone way up. Being that I work just 2 blocks away from here, i'll occasionally order something for pick up - or simply walk over and have a quick meal (on my 30 min lunch break!) before heading back to the grind. PRO: although its walking distance for me, they do have parking! CON: it tends to fill up fast. PRO: staff is super nice, friendly and fast. CON: they are usually insanely busy, so if you're okay with your water not being filled - you're good. PRO: food is good - I noshed on the buffalo chicken wrap - which was good both times - and their chips are outstanding. CON: although it's good - it's nothing special, but hits the spot, everytime. PRO: lots of beers on tap to choose from -along with a killer happy hour. CON: I've never gotten to experience it, cause I was working. boo. I'm not much of a fan of sports nor sports bars but I really enjoyed lunch at College Inn today. The decor is exactly what you would expect, and I don't think I've ever seen so many TVs in a bar before (I counted 20, without even turning my head), but it was super clean, cozy, and there was a nice atmosphere from the mix of patrons. We both decided on burgers - I ordered the Power Play with fries (single patty, bacon and Cheddar; $7.25), he chose the Black Jack with onion rings (two patties, bacon, roasted anaheim peppers, Chipotle mayo and Cheddar; $8.50). Despite the fact that they won't cook them less than medium-well, these were some damn good burgers! The buns were nice and fluffy, the lettuce/onion/tomato/pickles were super fresh and crispy, and the patties looked and tasted homemade. The fries and onion rings were obviously from a bag but they were cooked perfectly. The only downers about College Inn were the service (slow and almost hilariously surly) and the $11.50 pitchers of Stella (whaaat??). Other than that, I'd be happy to spend every pre-grocery shopping Sunday lunch time there. Oh, and they have a patio area. read more

Loved my first experience at College Inn! Has a very down-to-earth, dive-y feel. My friend and I seated ourselves. It probably took a good 10 minutes for us to be noticed by serving staff, but that's where my complaints end. Though service was slow, the staff was very nice. The pork quesadilla they brought me was massive and comforting. I tasted my friend's Green Chili Mac, and it was a home run! Being an out-of-towner, I was a little thrown by the smell of weed hanging around the place, but that just added to the charm. Hahaha. A relaxing venue that seemed like it would be good for groups. read more

A week ago I might have given the College Inn three stars as opposed to four, but then I found out that it is under new management, and the new GM is an old friend of mine. College in is a good place to go for fun, food, and drink. There's usually something going on just about every night of the week, like poker, karaoke, trivia, etc... When it comes to local dives... I am a huge fan. This place is perfect if you are looking for something a bit outside the city, with parking (yes they have a parking lot). They have great specials and always serve their drafts cold. It is a cheap drink and a laid back atmosphere. They even have a big fire pit outside, where you are guaranteed to meet new friends. Everyone here is super friendly, including the staff. I have always had great service! The food, though a typical bar food menu, is home to some of my favorite pub eats. Their wings are delicious and they offer several options on sauces. If you are going all out, you must get the green chili cheese tots offered under appetizers. These are not on the diet menu but my are they tasty! Their burgers are great as well, and they are great when it comes to cooking them as requested. Fun chill neighborhood bar with great deals on drink specials. Went in after 9p for post movie drinks and pool. Monday's were $4.50 Jameson night! Great fire pits outside with lots of patio space and section of fun shooting games, "ice ball"/skee ball and pool. Loved the wings with the BBQ sauce and jalapeño flakes, grilled cheese and French fries. Super chill and loved how spacious it was. It's near the house for our friends and I...it used to be a regular spot for friends in college so it was FUN to come back and enjoy this neighborhood bar. Friendly bar service, our server was great, a little forgetful but busy. We weren't in any rush so it was fine and understandable. We will be back! For a neighborhood sports bar, College Inn is pretty decent. The bar has plenty of televisions, and typically has a good crowd. The menu is quite large for a sports bar, and has some really good stuff. The wings are outstanding, and the green chili is spicy and flavorful. I am a big fan of their Buffalo Chicken Wrap, as they don't skimp on the chicken, veggies, or hot sauce. Keys being the chicken & the buffalo sauce, both top notch in my book! Had the most horrible experience here. I came in this morning to get me some chili rellenos and eggs over easy with green chili as described on the menu. When my food came to me it had red chili on it... I was not asked if that was acceptable substitution. Why would anyone think that red chili is a substitution for green chili over chili rellenos? Gross. Even the chips and salsa I ordered taste it like stale Doritos at best.. no manager I was told was on duty to talk to me. So thank you College Inn for wasting 30 mins of my day and giving me horrible service. I will be sure to never take any of my friends to your establishment. read more
