Unfortunately, a year later, we still have not been able to retrieve her artwork. We've been told conflicting information, including that it was already picked up, despite us never receiving it. It's incredibly disappointing to have to explain to a child that her award-winning piece -- something she worked hard on and was proud of -- is now missing with no clear accountability or record of what happened. This should have been a special keepsake and memory for her. Shame on Miss Shoshana for the lack of oversight and management surrounding student artwork and for how poorly this situation was handled. Families and students deserve better care and accountability when it comes to preserving children's hard work and achievements.

When this was pointed out, they stopped responding completely. When kids had medical emergencies at one of their middle schools because some kid brought dosed candies, they lied to the public when they were called about the ambulances at the site. We didn't even make eye contact until the end of recess. ESP there is cool too, we got free food and had like a 2nd recess. The teachers are incredible, and the PTO is deeply supportive, backed by a fantastic community of involved parents. When one of my children qualified for the GATE program, we had the option to transfer to the district's magnet school, but we ultimately chose to stay. The welcoming environment and tight-knit community at Village View were simply the perfect fit for our family.

PTO families, teachers, and administrators work together to create fun events, traditions, and opportunities for students to feel connected. From multiple themed festivals per year, spirit days and marine science expos to volunteer opportunities and after school programs, there is always something that brings everyone together. The staff and teachers truly go above and beyond daily. So grateful my kids get to build so many childhood memories here.
