Brooke at the Naples Motorcycle Riding School is nothing short of awesome. The course is all about being safe and avoiding being in an accident. Anyone can hop on a motorcycle and go at high speeds in a straight line, but how many know what to do and what not to do when someone pulls out in front of you? The difference can life or death. The first night of class Brooke explains the rules. If you do a wheelie it will be your first and last one, as you will be asked to leave. If you show off in any way, you are gone. It's all about riding safely. Then he goes through the course handbook materials teaching the course. Day 2 and 3 are spent on riding technique. How to properly perform a high speed stop, a high speed weave, slow speed turns in a tight radius and combinations of all of the above. Brooke demonstrates the proper technique before you try it. Some riders had never been on a motorcycle before. Brooke gives them the special instruction they need while the rest of us continue practicing until my the afternoon of the last class we are all ready to do our riding test so Brooke and his assistant can score our skill level. I highly recommend that anyone currently riding a motorcycle or thinking of riding a motorcycle take this class. It is well worth the $250 and the time spent. I would also encourage parents to inquire how many current TVS upper school students are enrolled in virtual online classes to supplement holes in the curriculum. Ask what the student retention rate is. Ask what the average SAT and ACT test scores are, and ask for proof. The academics in the upper grades are especially dismal. Both student and staff turnover are very high. We greatly regret staying in TVS despite the many red flags, but our horrible experience with the upper school was the final straw.

I was later told the days I requested (which the website stated WERE AVAILABLE) were actually not available. None of the other dates they recommended were possible with our schedule and they refused to work anything out or refund me my money. Fernanda is an ISR master swim instructor and seems to train a lot of people from other states. She immediately put my 7 month old and 2 year old at ease and created a rapport with them on day 1. My older one graduated early but continued by my request to strengthen his skills. One thing I might suggest as making sure you have a little bit of time to spend there because her backyard is so much fun and your child might not want to leave. She's incredibly gifted with children and I have already seen both of my children use the skills they have learned. No parent wants their child to be in that situation but I've already watched both of my boys fall into a pool in front of my eyes and I have gone to help them and waited to wash them use the skies I have learned.
