My Camry had a no-start issue, and instead of trying to sell me a starter or some expensive repair like less honest mechanics might have done, Sherman took the time to properly diagnose the problem and found that a connector wasn't plugged in correctly. He fixed it quickly and had the car running again. On my Impala, he completed an oil change and repaired my cigarette lighter outlets, which had been damaged by an overpowered device that had melted part of the circuit. Everything is working properly now. He arrived on time, was professional from start to finish, explained everything clearly, and charged a very fair price. He even followed up by sending me a PDF with diagnostic codes and a detailed list of recommended maintenance items for future service. It's hard to find mechanics who are knowledgeable, honest, and transparent, but Sherman checked all three boxes. I was told it referred to the 1 yr added to my battery purchase. All told, the only thing that was done was a changing of my battery. Yes they charged me for a diagnostic which I acknowledged and agreed too, but my Nextdoor neighbor put it on his machine and told me in 30 seconds that my battery needed to be replaced. All this , charged me over $ 500 . They were friendly, nice enough, but I'll have to take it next time to another shop that more clearer charges and what is is they've actually done.

I took my car to my mechanic and he changed the belt that was recommended but my original belt was in great condition. 1st Choice Auto broke the clamps that hold my air filter in place. And they also did not change my oil that I paid almost $70. After a week and a half when my mechanic drained my fresh oil that they claimed to have changed, it was really dark and really thick. We are thinking they just added more oil into the oil already in my car instead of doing an oil change. Also they didn't put the correct oil for my car. I will never go there again. This is ridiculous and grimey for a company to do. I'm angry and disgusted. I have been a loyal customer here for 5 years and have never experienced this. Shame on this company for lying, deceiving, and basically stealing money from their customers. Whatever you do, do NOT bring your cars here. They will break stuff, lie to you, and half way do the work that you pay for.
