This is a professional group of people who know what you need to complete your estate planning. I was so pleased to work with this firm. I would recommend the firm to all of my contacts who need this service. And everyone needs to prepare their Estates.

I first encountered Collins Law Group about 10-15 years ago at a seminar in Inglewood. I didn't join at that time thinking that I could get the same service through my employer legal coverage. Boy was I ever mistaken! My mom went through our employer legal and she got a 20 page document for her trust. That's it...And here we are 10-15 years later and now I'm finally ready to do my trust. Needless to say I ran... and I mean ran to Collins Law Group remembering the seminar I attended before. Right of the bat when you sign up you are greeted with a new video seminar by one of the young attorneys (Lioness) and her family (the kids are so cute too). I signed up hoping to get the attorney that did the presentation because she seemed really engaging! Let me tell you from the time I walked in the door everyone was so super attentive. In the attorney room they even have an special hand-calligraphied placard with your name welcoming you and a tray full of goodies and beverages set out for you! And this is every time you go in. Attorney Lioness was amazing! She put me at ease and even put up with my constant last minute changes about my beneficiaries. Needless to say no one was disinherited, but I even had a last minute change on the final day of signing (lol). She (Lioness) took it all in stride and made the adjustment. Again I can't say enough about this exemplary lawyer (Lioness) and the firm she works for. They allow you two months to pay for the trust (remember they are private) and unlike my mother's paltry 20 pages (through the employer paid legal) my final signing came with a personalized video dealing my decisions, a heavy binder with about 200 pages of details, a beautiful tote bag to carry it all in and a parting gift of a mug and some other things ;) In closing (and sorry this was so long) , but if I could recommend Lioness and the Collins Law Group any higher I would!!!!!!!! Awesome and well worth your time!

Left a message two weeks ago never got a callback. Very poor impression of how business is conducted if you never get a callback.

This means that she can file the initial paperwork, etc for an eviction but if your case goes to court she has an attorney she works with that handles that leg. When I first spoke with her she gave me fairly unrealistic timelines about how quickly my case could be resolved which was disappointing but unfortunately not the worst of it. Even though I sent her an email, detailing exactly how much my tenant owed. The wrong amount ended up on the paperwork. This mistake wasn't caught until months later when we finally had our first court date. It was my deadbeat tenant who pointed out the error because she knew we'd have to start the process all over again. And we did. We literally have to start all over. Months in the process was lost and Lawanda refused to take any blame. She instead blamed my property manager but he wasn't the expert who was supposed to be triple checking all the legal filings, she was, and she didn't. This was a very expensive mistake that I had to pay for as it meant dismissing the case and starting again. If I continued working with her I was going to have to pay all the court filing fees again, she didn't even offer to waive those. I would've looked for other representation either way but accountability does actually count for something. But she took none. I hired Lawanda to pay attention to the details , she didn't and for that I paid dearly. Would not recommend her after my experience.

My mom is very ill, so any interruption or loss of health benefits has truly life-and-death consequences. I came in already navigating an incredibly difficult situation, with a lot of questions and a lot of anxiety. Patrick was compassionate, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the inner workings of Medicaid in a way that actually made sense, and he offered proactive advice that helped us think ahead rather than just react. I never felt rushed, and it was clear he genuinely cared about helping us do what was best for my mom. I walked out with peace of mind and a much clearer understanding of how I can support her during this time. Compassion, empathy, and real expertise were all present, which meant more than I can put into words. In the middle of such a hard chapter, it was truly meaningful to cross paths with an exceptional human.

This review is a bit overdue. Originally we got into touch with Maria to do our living trusts just…read morebefore the Covid pandemic hit. She was one of a few attorneys we were considering. She seemed attentive, pleasant, thorough, and on top of it. She answered all our questions very thoroughly. Once the pandemic hit, we put our search for a trust attorney on hold because it was just a weird time for everyone and we basically put our lives on hold in general and since we were still in the early stages of our search for an attorney, it seemed a reasonable thing to do as effects of the pandemic played it out. We got back in touch with Maria in 2022 as we picked up our search for a trust attorney again. Maria originally had been our top pick before we paused the first time, but Maria's style had completely changed. I guess her business had picked up a lot because of the pandemic with many people concerned about protecting their property and legacies. It's possible this is what caused the noticeable shift in her attitude. Her emails were brusque and she often ignored questions. When she did answer questions, her answers seemed very generic or just completely off base, like it was copypasta or she perhaps didn't even read the questions thoroughly before answering. She even addressed me by the wrong name in an email once (called me Sarah). I was a bit taken aback but good-naturedly brought it to her attention and even included a smile emoji to let her know there were no hard feelings. This was right before we were about to sign a contract and I wanted to make sure she had the right file and the right clients in mind. She didn't even apologize or address it, just blew it off entirely. I was willing to overlook it, but my business partner put his foot down and decided Maria was not the right choice for us. Like me, he noticed the change in her and her increasing lack of professionalism the more we interacted, so we cut ties before any contract was signed. Good thing because we ended up with a different attorney who was not only more affordable but more agreeable and helpful. Edited in reply to Maria Jonsson's response: ZERO free work was provided by her firm. Back in the beginning of 2020, we filled out her generic questionnaire, there was one Zoom introductory call, and a few follow-up emails with general questions about the process. How else are we supposed to decide how to pick an attorney for something as important as our trusts if we don't engage with her and ask questions first? You don't pick an attorney by pulling a name out of a hat! Ask yourself if an attorney in business ever goes around doing "free work" for random people who haven't signed any type of contract and you will arrive to the logical conclusion that not only is Maria rude, she is also a LIAR. When we actually did hire an attorney, we started from scratch. The attorney we chose also had us fill out a questionnaire, did a Zoom introductory call, and answered all our questions as well before we signed a contract. Just standard professional engagement when you look to bring on a new client, not "free work." Maria is clearly either high on her own supply, or she still has me confused with Sarah!

***************** DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!…read more If you contact them via email.. which I'm pretty sure is the only way to contact them because they don't answer the phone, you'll realize you're not actually communicating with a human. It's AI. They will completely F up your entire order from beginning to end. They never answer their phone or return their phone calls. When you request a call back, they email you back telling you to call them instead... but don't answer. They're crazy expensive and their AI will send you emails saying they're waiting for your payment after already receiving payment. Even after you send them proof of them receiving your payment... they'll send you another email saying they haven't received a payment from you. It's a complete cluster F. I'm pretty sure it's a scam to try to get more money. A WEEK After I very clearly told them to cancel the order and calling my bank for a refund... they sent a process server to serve paper work I had already hired someone else to serve and had served. ‍ How stupid can a company be!?

I suggest that Mr. Saenz past and present clients should review your living trust document with another lawyer and future client should avoid Mr. Saenz's service. I have forfeited a deposit of over $1200. He refused to refund the money although he suggested that I find another lawyer. Dead men cannot complaint. Law Office of Edgar Saenz To, Mr. Saenz Your claimed an excellent living trust document that "My staff and I have devoted an inordinate amount of time" is a totally garbage and it is useless. This document does not include all my assets in the document, not even personal and business bank accounts. You did not ask me to itemize my assets and how those assets should be distributed them upon my death. That is what a normal living trust lawyer would have done. This implies that my assets including my business, personal and investment bank accounts will not be funded under living trust document. Thereby it guarantees that all my assets will be placed under probate courts. This, in turn, places undue financial stress to my heirs because they will not have access to my bank accounts. My heirs will need to hire lawyers to get my assets released by the probate court and inherits great expenses generated from lawyer and probate costs. I guess dead man never complaints. My heirs need to finance my current debts, business and funeral expense out of their own pockets. Isn't this the very reason for creating a living trust document, avoiding lawyer and probate costs and save time? Mr. Saenz said that" You have not followed my advice. You have not used my counsel." As a living trust lawyer, you could not explain to me why IRA accounts should not be included in living trust document. No word about inheritance IRA and other tax related matters. How it can be protected using a Pass thru trust. You also said "living trust must be simple and concise." In my opinion living trust document must include all eventualities. Most probate dispute lawyers will tell you otherwise. That was the reason for hiring you. Who know who will encounter death first, me my kids, etc. Death may not occur in sequence based on ages. The spread sheet I provided to you includes those possibilities. You complained about the spreadsheet, but did not give me alternate ways of doing. So what advise should I expect from you! As I told you before, I have created a living trust document that is better quality than yours using a living trust on-line service at no cost. A person, knowledgeable in living trust, would have taken no more than 30 minutes in creating a document similar to the one you have provided. It seems that you are incapable of producing a customized document that deviate from your standard format with different assets, even with bank accounts. Your forfeiture of work, as you told me to "find someone else," You should have returned the deposit. I have wasted a lot of time unnecessarily studying and researching in funding living trust, tax related rules and avoiding probate system. I was very uncomfortable with your living trust document that included only hard assets, house and business. The very reasons for hiring you are not to do those unnecessary works and save some money and time on estate tax related matters. You were completely ignorant on both counts. You claimed that "We have provided you an excellent living trust, which you refuse to acknowledge." The reasons stated above make your living trust utterly garbage and useless.
