My husband and I had an early dinner for our anniversary. The atmosphere, food, and service was excellent. We plan on returning soon.

Highly recommend this establishment ! Very pleased with the service, food and ambiance !…read more The servers were very nice and helpful and quick to check on our table ! The food was fast and delicious ! My baby boy loved the pesto pasta and salmon as we shared it. My mom also ate all of her food as well and said how good it was. The prices here are reasonable compared to Houston or Dallas, for example, but most everything is a la carte, so you can spend a lot quickly if not careful. My eyes were set on the seabass ceviche, so I know I had to have that. I also wanted a cocktail, but I remembered I had a long drive ahead of me, so I just opted for more food instead. I ordered the corn flake fried chicken sandwich. Ceviche - a nicely sized portion that comes with 2 crispy tortillas. Inside the ceviche are finely diced carrots, red onions and cucumbers, cilantro, sliced avocado, and numerous pieces of diced fish and lime juice at the bottom. 5/5 Chicken sandwich - served on a plate with 2 sliced yellow cherry tomatoes sitting face down. This has a large breast, with pickles and cole slaw. 3/5 This is my kinda place, and it seems fairly unusual to find a restaurant like this in Laredo of all places. I would definitely come back on my next visit to Laredo.

The menu online looks spectacular and had a lot of interesting dishes. I was super excited. I saw that they were open late and I was also very happy about this because my meal was after work. I arrived at 9:30 walked in the side entrance and saw a post hunched over and squatted down, looking at her iPhone. I also saw another employee leaning on the host stand talking to her. He didn't greet me neither did she until I walked to the front of the house stand. She got up from her crouch position and said can I help you? I was surprised to see what she was wearing, an oversized hoodie with some type of logo on it, which was not an appropriate thing to wear, and it did not match the other employee that were more crisp. I said dining for one and grabbed a menu and slid it across the host stand out of pure laziness. She slumped her way over with the menu hanging on her left side and sat me at a table. Wow what a lousy first impression for a restaurant that I was so excited to visit. A server came over gave me a menu and brought me water. Disappointed to see that the menu was completely different from the menu that I saw online. No unique dishes and the variety was not great. However, I was there and felt I'd give it a chance. A server that was at the bar entering tickets or something, kept looking over at my table, but no one ever acknowledged me after I was seated. I waited for about 10 minutes until someone realized I need assistance. The server finally came over. He was polite to check my order served my meal left me to be on my own to check on me one time, but it certainly wasn't a two minute check when he should to see if my meal was to my satisfaction. My plates were not cleared and I had to ask for the check.. the food was OK. I had the salmon. Nothing spectacular. risotto was uneventful. Got my check and left. No goodbye, no thank you for coming in no stand out service. As a restaurant professional in California, I can't figure out if it's just a Texas thing or they rate everything high or this restaurant truly is deserving of its accolades..

I've visited La Laguna several times in my past Laredo trips, most recent in February, and have seen the decline in service and quality of experience over these visits. On this visit during a steady Sunday night (not busy, just steady) the server wore her mask under her nose while she randomly walked up to our table of four and muttered "Drinks." No hello, introduction, name, or welcome... Just "Drinks" Four waters ordered, four bottles of HILL COUNTRY bottle water dropped off at the table with chips and 2 sauces. We were still looking over the menu so asked for a minute... 15 mins later she returns to rudely take our order, "What do you want." We order then asked for more chips and she said ok. After 12 mins of waiting for chips I went to the front to tell a guy that our service was terrible as the server disappeared. He asked another server to take us chips, which came out promptly. Maybe 5 mins later the first plate of food is brought out. Seven mins later 2 more plates of food are brought out. The server asks if everything looks good and I ask about my plate, she looks at me like i was crazy for asking for food at a restaurant then asks what I ordered. I look at her amazed that she didn't realize an entire plate of food is missing. She checks her pad and disappears for over 10 minutes. Another person brings out the plate. It took over 30 minutes for my food to come out!!! Which tells me she forgot to put in my food order. We were never checked on and had to go up and ask for utensils, condiments, straws, etc... I thought of complaining again but the front desk didn't care the first time I complained to correct the server's apathetic attitude. When the bill came out, we were charged $2 for each HILL COUNTRY bottle of water!!! This place is a RIP off and a joke! I'm not one to rant and complain but this was the last straw. The manager removed the waters and we were charged for the food, which is perfect. I will never return to La Laguna nor recommend it. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

So everybody had been talking about this is the latest place in Loredo right now. We did have a…read morereservation, which was good cause when we got there, there was a large party for a Monday and the place is really tiny. The inside is whatever there's nothing special about it looks like any other place. Our waiter was so nice. He went above and beyond for us. We started with the escargot and I have to say it was OK. It was a little bland. It definitely was missing more flavor to it and it was weird that it didn't come with bread or anything. We also got the tuetano with beef tartar on top of it. It was a huge disappointment. The bone had not been cooked completely and was very fiber and the beef tartar just tasted really off pudding just like raw meat instead of it bean seasoned and marinated the way it should be. We had to send it back for it to get cooked for the bone and when they brought it back, it was still the same thing so they ended up removing it from our check. After this, I did get a cup of the asparagus soup and I have to say that was really nice. Then I got the American ribeye since they were out of the Argentina ribeye which is a disappointment. I had asked for a medium. It came cooked more than medium and it was weird how light colored it was and it just tasted like a typical steak nothing really special to it. The baked potato was whatever. Now the portobello mushrooms and wine sauce that was really delicious. I don't think I would come back here just cause there was nothing really special about it. Also, I hate to say this, but I did eat a little bit of that beef tartar to try it and I'm assuming that's what upset my stomach cause the next day, I was not well.

Good location for this steakhouse behind border foundry. Plenty of parking…read more Atmosphere is nice, decor of the place was really good. Servers are friendly and well dressed, this is a high end spot. Table bread was good, came with chimmichurri and butter, it was good. So good in fact that they asked me if I wanted another bread, and I said of course. What they failed to mention is that they charged $5 for the bread, wasn't expecting that at all. No one advised me of that but alright. We ordered a shrimp with oil dish, cooked in a cast iron, this was outstanding! Great flavor, came with 6 pieces of shrimp and came out on a hot cast iron pan. Highly recommend. I ordered a 15 oz picahna and my wife ordered 12 oz American ribeye. The ribeye was thin, but cooked well. However they failed to season the steak. The picahna was cooked okay, also poorly seasoned. When you think of picahna , you think of the fat cap, tell me why my picahna did not have any fat cap on it? They carved out the fat! I mean cmon man, you're an Argentinian steakhouse and you do that, that is blasphemy. Then they cut my steak, let it bleed out on the plate. Is this their first time or what? Leave the steak whole, like my wife's ribeye. The second saddest steak I've eaten. The worst one was a ribeye I had at Otillias. Steak came with steak fries and they were okay. My wife's baked potato wasn't fully cooked either Overall this place missed the mark and for paying $115 for two people before tip, you're better off grilling your own steaks for a lot less. I paid $40 for the picahna and $39 for my wife's steak. I wanted to give this place 3 stars but that bs bread move left me upset. I honestly think if you're looking for a decent steak, save yourself some money and go to Texas or Longhorns steakhouse.
