He guided us on what are our best options given that the NY laws do favor the tenant in many ways and what is the best option for us without having to spend too much money. I feel Elon did a good job in counseling me to make the decision to get the crook tenant out as first priority without prolonging the case, which otherwise would have cost a lot more money and time. Having gone through the experience, it seems NYC has HORRIBLE laws by which a crafty/professional tenant can live at your place for months or even years without paying anything by manipulating the legal (or should I say "illegal") system. I have nothing but good to say about Frank and his incredible team. He completely turned my case…read morearound. I wasn't able to get physical therapy or even the nerve exams or surgeries I needed all because this is a Worker's Compensation Case. That's super crazy, right? That's Worker's Compensation Law for you. The good news though is if you have an attorney like Frank then your attorney could actual push for your medical treatment to be authorized. I was suffering for about a year without good treatment and denial of proper examinations until I switched attorneys; basically to Frank's office. Just to give you some background on Frank's credibility he has about 30 years of experience as an insurance defense attorney. This is a huge plus almost no other law office has because he knows how the other side will counter you. But legally Frank knows how to best defend you. My pay from Worker's Compensation was $150 per week. I used to be a full-time waitress and lead chef in two restaurants and Liberty Mutual said this is 2/3rds of my income which is all I'm entitled to... My income used to be nearly $4,900 per month... Frank's associate Julie quickly turned this around and got me $447 per week. It's not the 66% but it's the most she could do. Next, in regards to treatment you have to be sure you actually go to a real MD who accepts Worker's Compensation Insurance. There's only a handful of doctors who actually do so because the Worker's Compensation Board is really hard to work with because they deny payment to the doctors a lot. There's also tons of paperwork. Also even if the board approves the treatment the insurance company may deny payment of the full amount. For example, my left elbow surgery was $5,000 the insurance company basically Liberty Mutual says, "This isn't how much a nerve transplant should cost. You're over billing us! So we'll only pay you $2500." Frank and his team fight for the doctors who treat you to get fully compensated as well. When I first came to his office he gave me a huge list of doctors to choose all of which he's worked alongside with for a number of years. He helped me choose the best most caring doctor who knows how to file Worker's Compensation paperwork so it doesn't mess up your case. I can call Frank or Julie or email any of his team any day of the week and expect a response within a couple hours at most only when they're in court. This is an incredible response time. Frank and his team really help me feel like I'm the only client they're working with which is definitely not the case. I know this because they're in court nearly every other business day. So thank you so much for reading my whole long review. I hope this was helpful. I obviously feel my case is going in the right direction with this law office. I strongly believe you would be in the best care possible with Frank Pellegrini and his team defending you just based off my personal experience. Good luck with your Worker's Comp. case. My lawyer, who was representing me ended up bringing his girlfriend during a lunch break in the middle of my discovery meeting and instead of focusing on my case, he was sitting there talking to his girlfriend. Seriously? They are lawyers who do not care about helping you with your case but will sit and talk to their girlfriend instead of helping their client. You will lose if you end up working with them.
