This was my first apartment experience. I called and booked an appointment for a tour with Janet in front office. She was so kind and a pleasure to work with. I loved the apartments I toured, I applied, and was approved. I moved in and stopped by the office many times with handfuls of questions. (The poor office workers haha). And every time I stopped in Janet was more than helpful in being sure to answer all my questions happily. I saw reviews saying the winters were bad here for plowing. Winter came and passed, and I completely disagree with the people who wrote they don't plow. The plowing was done very early and thoroughly. They sanded/salted each snowfall and even just on colder days below freezing. I never had one problem throughout the entire winter. I ended up adopting a puppy and Janet once again was helping me do the paperwork to show I had a new member of the family added to the apartment. Katrina also was very helpful in answering more of my many questions regarding how to add my puppy to the paperwork etc to keep everything up to date. Katrina answered my handful of emails quickly and efficiently. They both helped me get that all in order pretty quickly! The maintenance men are also very kind and get the jobs done thoroughly in a timely manner. Anytime I had an issue with a broken blind, or plumbing they came same day or next day the latest and fixed it that day. Some of the workers I know by name, and they say hello in passing. It makes me feel like part of a community and I am very comfortable and happy here. There is a dog park on site and my puppy absolutely loves it! There are even waste bags supplied at the park which is extremely convenient as well as a trash can. The paved paths around the complex also make for an easy and enjoyable dog walk each day. The staff is a pleasure to be able to work with, the apartments are sharp and up to date, and the overall experience has been amazing. I cannot complain one bit about the Colonial Townhouse Apartments. I lived in a studio here from 2017-2020. The office staff is very kind and compassionate; something I truly appreciate! I loved my studio and found it to be a perfect safe haven while completing a rigorous grad program at UCONN. It is the perfect distance from campus with lots of public transit options available. I loved having access to a gym and laundry facilities on site. I always felt safe and found a sense of community when I needed it most. I am grateful that this is where I laid my headed during a challenging 3 years. If anyone is looking for a good housing option when preparing to come to UCONN, I definitely recommend this property. read more

Very unhappy with my experience. I talked to someone and set up a viewing that was in our price range. When we got there, they said we can't view it because it's single occupancy. They should've told us before we drove over an hour to view it. Very unhappy. Will not be recommending them. Their prices are outrageous and they were unhelpful. read more

My mother has been living in a one bedroom unit for nearly five years now and we have had an excellent experience with the apartment, the office and maintenance staff. The grounds and buildings are well maintained and the trees and landscaping are beautiful. Colonial Townhouse Apartments are well located near businesses and universities and conveniently there is a bus stop within the complex. Highly recommend it. read more

The pictures are a lie, I lived here for 2 years for school. First of all, they gave me a dirty apartment when I first came, clearly, they do not care. The walls in the bathroom were filled with black hair from the previous owner, the entire place just looked disgusting. They are raising the prices to some outrageous price that is NOT worth it. The landlords are not pleasant to speak to. My storm door has broken 5 times because every time I go in and tell them it broke they do a half fast job where it breaks the next wind storm. The door simply needs a chain at the top to stop it from breaking but, of course, they could not do that. Where my complex is located, when it rains the kitchen floor gets flooded underneath and you can hear the water as you walk. Sometimes, it'll make the apartment smell and they don't do anything about it. They only supply ONE spot, and have a few guest spots near the complex but all of them are 9/10 always filled and even have cars that were towed into that spot because the car died. If you park behind your building where it is not designated parking they will threaten to tow you at your expense. So basically if you have two cars, good luck finding a spot for the second. They say its free access to the laundry room and work out room (at least when I started renting) then they changed the locks and now you have to pay 20 dollars to get inside. Overall, the place is trash. Would NEVER consider renting here again. read more
