Impressive wine store with exceptional selections of wine, spirits and beer, plus all sorts of other items you might need to stock the bar. What was most impressive were the customer service reps. Every time I went to a different row or section of the store, an employee greeted me and offered to help, and providing superb recommendations or directions to the next thing on my list. Y'all watch your receipts here. My partner went in today to get a 17.99 bottle of rocktown and one of the older gentleman who was checking her out asked if she had a membership and when she said no, he said "well it'll be $40 dollars then". She paid and he tried to avoid giving her a receipt because he said it would take a while to print but she said she'd wait on it. Once she looked at it she noticed he charged her for two bottles of vodka. This could be seen as a mistake but he stated that it was 17.99 until she said that she didn't have a membership. Luckily management refunded her. But that's just shady behavior. We've never had an issue here but if that's the employees they keep, we will not be returning. read more

I asked about a bottle of wine that I had good and bad experiences with from a same day purchase. We agreed that I could buy another bottle, and return is if it was bad. They agreed after two back and forth with the manager. I purchased the bottle, went to my car and opened it, and it was not good. When I walked right back into the store, they refused to honor the agreement, saying they cannot take it back just because I didn't like it. That had been the whole conversation before I bought it. If they had said "no" upfront, I could have just purchased what I had in the basket and moved forward. But when you go back on your word, it causes me pause. A few days later I decided to return the $140 in purchases I had made that night. They refused to accept the wines back. I just decided not to argue and returned what they would accept back and take my business to Warehouse which is actually closer to me and does have better pricing though less wine offerings. Bad customer service, and business decision, to lose $140 sale to take a firm stance of a $5 profit. read more

3.5... Ok so this place reminds me of Bev Mo in CA. Smaller than what I'm accustomed to. My friends were buying wine and spirits for their Tuscan party and they had a section dedicated to Tuscan wines. Needless to say, they spent over $2 bills and were happy with their purchase. I, on the other hand, found a small section of my wines. (I'm more into the Moscato D'Asti wines.) I did find the wine I was looking for. I had great wine at Bravo and asked for the name so that I could bring a bottle home with me. I did find it for about $20. I did find the wine a bit more costly than in SD. For instance, my fav Michele Chiarlo wine cost several dollars more than what I normally pay. I understand that they have a wine bar for tasting, but wasn't able to experience it. I believe they have designated hours for wine tastings here. As I pay, the employee carded me (their policy). He gave me an awesome compliment by saying that I looked 10 yrs younger than indicated on my license. YES! He mentioned that I was only a couple yrs younger than him and I looked great for my age. A plus is that there's lots of parking and they open late - 11p on weeknights and 12a on weekends. read more

This is the best liquor store in the Little Rock area. They have the best selection and reasonable prices. Great customer service, too. Please note that if you save up rewards in lieu of redeeming immediately for discounts in their rewards program your rewards accumulate at a higher rate. There is no better liquor store. Hands down. If you're looking for something, they've got it, or they'll get it. Really awesome selection, beautifully organized, in addition to a mini-taproom for both beer and wine (maybe the stronger stuff too, I'm honestly not sure). They also have a wide selection of novelty mugs, cups, coozies, coasters, etc. They also fill growlers! And the staff? Gloriously, and somewhat atypically, friendly and helpful! The go to place in Little Rock...nay probably Arkansas for adult beverages. They have a very wide selection of wine and beer. The liquor selection isn't quite as grand but some of the best in LR. I was quite surprised to see they carry Soju, a Korean rice liquor, and a variety of Sochu, a Japanese rice liquor. While travelling to Texas I stopped for the night near Little Rock. I used Yelp to find liquor stores close to my location. Colonial was close. They have a large selection of all types of liquor. When I went in I stood for a moment trying to locate the bourbons. A staff member quickly assisted me. Colonial Wine & Spirits (or, Six Flags over Liquor) is not like the other oversized "warehouse" liquor stores that just seem to stock MORE Bud Lite and Miller Lite to fill the shelves. No sir, Colonial is probably the most comprehensive and complete liquor store in Arkansas. The minute you walk into the store, you can just scope the place and see a vast array of variety -- NOT JUST WINE!. BUT, here are two distinct ways to really recognize that this store is in elite status compared to its competition: 1. RUM/RHUM -- The rum selection here is tremendous! You might not be a rum drinker. Very few folks in the greater Little Rock area are rummies. Even with a low demand (except for something to pour into a frozen daiquiri) selections vary far beyond the candy flavored Parrot and Malibu rums. The variety of offerings provide the distinct nuances of many different countries of origins -- which does matter. You can even find rhum agricoles and cachaca rums in Colonial's stock. Colonial also offers a nice range of upper end rums, such as Zacapa XO, Appleton 21 and the Pyrat Rum Cask 1623. I work close to Colonial, so when my neighborhood liquor store was out of Steel Reserve Black Berry Beer, I thought I'd run into Colonial to see if they had some. I'm not a big drinker, but my husband had brought some of this home one afternoon, and it's really tasty! I had gotten it at two different liquor stores in Saline County, so it never crossed my mind that Colonial, such a large, well stocked store wouldn't have it. When I didn't see it in their cooler, I asked if they had it. The employee looked down his nose at me, and said in a very snotty tone, " We wouldn't have Steel Reserve here. That's a gas station beer". Well, I guess he put me in my place, right along with the gutter rats drinking their hooch out of a bottle wrapped in a plain brown wrapper. I was visiting the area on a recent trip and stopped in to get some things. The staff went over and beyond to help me find what I was looking for as well as suggest other things i might like. They didn't have one type of whiskey I was looking for. The gentlemen took the time to look it up and let me know they don't sell that product in Arkansas. Not going back. Purchased an $80.00 bottle of wine after lunch one day, high that day was 78 degrees, ran the rest of my errands with the bottle laying in the seat beside me. When I got home and took the bottle out to place in my wine fridge, I noticed it had leaked. I called Colonial, not knowing if there was anything they could do, and the guy said to come in that the cork was probably bad and that they'd take care of it. Once I got to the store, the owner refused to help me. He said 'wine doesn't lie' and insisted it was way too hot from sitting in the car and that people bring wine back all the time for that reason, yet he refused to exchange the bottle for me. He was insulting and his attitude degrading. He did not even entertain the idea that the cork may have been dry or that there may have been anything else wrong, despite actually admitting that the bottle was probably warmer from us handling it. Until now, I purchased at least two cases of wine a year from there. Not anymore. Customer service, tact, and friendliness is very important to me. At least I live in a city where there are plenty of other options for that. And other big liquor stores in town are happy to order anything a customer wants, so I'll get decent service, better price, and the same selection somewhere else. read more

They have SOJU! That's all that really matters. Coming from Hawaii, it was nice to find a place that sells the variety of alcohol. Very huge parking lot. You can't miss this place, it has flags hung right outside of the building. It looks like it used to be a car dealership lot. Great hours and friendly employees. This is the best liquor store in town, hands down. I've been on the other end of town and tried closer stores, and always end up here. I'm not a very experienced drinker... So when I decide to get alcohol as a gift or try a new cocktail recipe, there's always someone on staff to help. I went in once and asked for advice on whiskey. I wanted to buy something nice to put in a gift basket for my boyfriend. One of the staff asked me what he drinks already, and then made a few suggestions based on what he thought his taste might be. I bought something different and he was spot on...my boyfriend loved it. Today I decided to try a spiced rum and apple cider recipe. Again, I walked in and asked for guidance and one of the workers even had an open bottle of a rum that he suggested I try. I bought it and was very happy with it. I've stopped in about 10-13 times since I've lived here and every time I receive excellent service. And the selection is like none other in this town. Horribly rude employees and management. I visited this location on Friday night and attempted to purchase barefoot Chardonnay I requested a price match of Legacy Wine and Spirits on the barefoot Chardonnay, the employee brought over a manager, (Jarrod) if I remember correctly and he says, only if you have a paper copy and walks off, no direct communication at all, just basically and (F U) and he moves on, nothing left to discuss. So on Monday they honored the price match for the wine and did so with the information that I had listed on the website that I had brought up on my phone. Please some one tell me what the difference is between a website price and a price on paper. To be looked at and then blown off as he stated in passing and literally walked off that he would not honor the price match has caused them to lose a customer (Permanently). I am, or was a loyal customer and to be treated like that is disappointing and frustrating and i'd rather drive the additional 4 miles to Legacy who's people go above and beyond to make the customer feel wanted and appreciated. I will never step foot back in this liquor store regardless of pricing or location or proximity. Rude and disrespectful wont garner my business anymore. read more
