Reliable transportation services. I've used Colony Limo at least 5+ times. We use them for transportation to/from the airport from Sugar Land. They always show up on time. They always show up with the vehicle they promise and plenty of room. The driver is always helpful with the bags. The only problem I have is that the drivers are always 'interesting'. Sometimes they are great, some are way too talkative, and others seem to be glued to the navigation screen like they are new in town. I continue to use them because their vehicles are clean and well kept and I know they will show up when and where they say they will. read more

Pick up from IAH, party of 20, Driver was too arrogant, and argued with us over little things. Didn't appreciate my help with loading the luggage, instead told me rudely to get away. If he can't do his job properly he must look for a job where he can argue, disrespect and order the customers. Overall the company is nice and we have been using them for many years. My husband and I had been using this car service for around 6 months and had been generally content with the service, until today. I had an early flight and was running just a few minutes late. Car booked for 5am, and it was 5:06 when my doorbell rings. I open it and tell the driver, "Hi, sorry, I'll be right out." He proceeds to angrily admonish me, "Ma'am, it's already past your time and you need to go, I have to come back here later and I don't want to run into any traffic on my way back. You need to hurry up." I was stunned into silence, went and kissed my son and husband goodbye, grabbed my bag and was out the door by 5:08. I get in the car and ask for his name. He refuses to answer, telling me again that I'm late and they are going to charge me extra. I don't respond except to ask his name. He keeps raising his voice and trying to talk over me. Finally after I ask 3 more times before he tells me, "Mel." I finally ask him to please not talk to me for the rest of the ride. He tells me "same here." Then proceeds to keep talking. He says "you can complain all you want, but I've been working for this company for a long time." I'm sad for the rest of this company because I've had good interactions with other drivers, such as James, but I can't in good conscience recommend them to anyone while this guy is working there. We booked a bus sized limo for a bachelorette party being held the weekend of the Final 4 this year. The week before, we called the company to see if we could switch to a smaller vehicle as we had some people back out. They advised us that they were booked- no problem. The day of the party they showed up no problem and drove us to our first destination. We asked the driver how far in advance we should call so we can assure he is outside to pick us up after dinner and we are not waiting- he said 15 min. We called 15 min before we needed him and he said no problem, see you soon. After waiting for almost 30 min (45 min after we had called) we call to see where our driver was. He comes up with some story about the CD player not working (we were using it JUST fine) and he needed to switch us out. Almost 20 min later he finally shows up in a MUCH smaller limo (party bus to hummer limo). The limo company did not offer any kind of discount or refund for the fact that they switched us to a smaller limo without our approval before they did it! Not only that- but they left us waiting for almost an hour for the limo to come pick us up. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. read more

We had a wonderful ride and perfect evening in the limo. My daughter was 4 at the time and she remembers every minute of the ride. It was a splurge, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. My entire experience, from booking the party bus to interacting with the driver, was fantastic, professional, and courteous. Would rent form Colony again and again. Ordered a 30 person party bus, extremely competitive prices and felt like Shal was really interested in helping me make the night perfect. It was a big Bday celebration for my bf, and Shal even included some balloons, a bottle of champagne, and all the mixers we could ever need. All in all, it was fantastic. I think the best part of it was that I was able to take care of all of the expenses before the night of the event, so it felt good to know that the appropriate tip was already billed and I wouldn't have to carry around large sums of cash with me. Our driver, Edwyn, was also great. Needless to say, our night didn't follow the agenda exactly as originally planned, bu Edwyn was both flexible and quick. Whenever we were ready to go, I just sent him a text and he was there within minutes. He also had great knowledge of Houston streets, I gave him addresses, and he took care of the rest. RECOMMEND! If you're looking for a large party bus and you want to book a company that will be true on their word and not try to swindle you out of your last dollar, look at Colony! We were very disappointed with our experience with Colony Limo, it was a disaster, which by their fault nearly caused us to miss our flight. The entire purpose of getting a stretch limo is to experience luxury. Yes they are a very expensive ride, but we chose to get a limo ride to the airport to kickstart our vacation in a fun and immersive way. The lights and features looked appealing and we figured we could make a boring trip to the airport much more interesting and memorable. After years of hard work this was our first real trip, and we wanted it to be perfect for our family. I first booked the white Lincoln Towncar limo, which was the least expensive of the stretch limo options, but we later upgraded to the more expensive Chrysler 300 stretch limo, solely based on the fact that the interior was much more fun looking and there were more features. We figured it would be fun and memorable for the kids to have such an immersive experience. The kids and I created a limo playlist to play on our ride, as there was supposed to be the option for music. We packed a DVD to put into the DVD player that was listed as one of the features. We were planning on a fun and entertaining ride. When the limo arrived just a few minutes late the morning of our flight, we didn't think much of it, until the driver told us to not be seated yet as the car was having electrical issues with the interior. The lights and all the features of the cabin which had been working up until he arrived, were suddenly switching off by themselves and not staying on. He continued to attempt to get it to work and reset it, but it continued to switch off. Here is the bothersome part.... my family and I stood outside for *45 MINUTES* waiting on him to continue to do the same failing actions over and over again... and this was A RIDE TO THE AIRPORT. We scheduled the limo to arrive at 6am, this way we would avoid traffic and have plenty of time to check into our flight and get settled and purchase snacks for the plane ride. Instead, we didn't leave until nearly 7am! We were stuck in bumper to bumper Houston weekday morning traffic, and did not arrive at our gate until nearly 8:30, WHEN THEY WERE DOING THE FINAL BOARDING CALL!!! It made for a very stressful morning. We had to run through the terminals, stress in every line we stood in, run to our gate, we did not get to stop to purchase snacks or even get to take the kids to the bathroom before our flight. All of this due to the driver's poor judgement to repeatedly and failingly reset the interior system for 45 MINUTES. And no, we did not ever get to experience the fun and immersive features that made us choose this limo. THESE are the things people Pay for when they book a limo, and we got to experience not only NONE of the features, but we didn't even have BASIC conveniences like air conditioning! Instead our ride consisted of sitting in a hot stuffy car, no a/c, no music, no lights, no DVD, not one thing we had planned on and PAID FOR. The ride was hot, awkward, boring and very disappointing and there was an odd smell in the cab. Us and the kids were all sweating, so we had to roll the windows down, and by the time we arrived at the airport we all looked a mess! Frazzled and frizzy haired, shiny sweaty faces, clothes clinging to us from sweat. We literally could have ordered an UBER and paid a TENTH of the price and still had basic vehicle conveniences such as air conditioning, and music. And yes I said a TENTH of the price, because Colony Limo still had the NERVE to charge us $300 for this hot stuffy silent ride which by THEIR FAULT almost caused us to miss our flight! This was still MORE than the Towncar limo would have been, with all the working features! When we arrived late at the airport, the driver said his boss offered "some sort of discount for the NEXT limo we book". No mention of how much of a discount or how it would be given to us, just a vague reference to an imaginary future discount which we never heard about again, no follow-up email about it, no apology, nothing. Our driver drove terribly as well, tailgating the drivers in front of us, hitting the gas and stomping on the breaks so badly that my husband got carsick and had to move to the back seat and sleep for half the ride to avoid hurling. I could not imagine a worse ride to the airport. I understand that electrical issues happen, but we live very close to Stafford where Colony Limo is located, and as soon as they discovered problems, they could have sent for another vehicle, or chosen to not spend an excessive amount of time on our watch attempting to figure out the problem, or at the very least, offered us a significant discount for the inconvenience. This is just bad business. Before this happened, we were planning to book them again for a limo ride to a concert a few weeks later... had they made a true effort to right their wrongs, we still would have... We used them for airport transportation this past week. The ride from home to the airport was good, the driver arrived about 10 or 15 minutes early and waited outside until we were ready to go, he was very professional, and loaded our bags for us. He did not speak much which I assume was in an effort to give us space since it was 4 in the morning, it was appreciated. For the airport pickup our driver, Eugene was waiting at the baggage claim area with a sign when we arrived. He insisted that I allow him to remove our bags from the luggage conveyor, he was very outgoing and went that extra mile to provide good service. Both cars were clean and seemed well maintained. I used Colony Limo during the Great Flood of 2015. My plane was scheduled to arrive at IAH on May 25 at 6:30pm. As it sometimes happens with air travel, I was delayed...and delayed...and delayed!!! By the time I finally got to Houston it was 5am on May 26!!! I stayed in touch with Colony Limo when I could and kept them up to date on when my plane might arrive. I walked in to baggage claim a bedraggled airplane passenger and the driver was there to greet me. He was courteous and pleasant after experiencing a harrowing evening himself. He was alert and aware after waiting ALL NIGHT for me. I could not be happier with the service I received. I will use them again and I have already recommended them to my friends. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We used them last year for our company rodeo trip and had no problems. This year I booked them and they matched our price we got last year. However I found another company that was giving us a better price. I called to cancel our reservation (before the 24 hour time frame) and was yelled at, belittled, and told that they would charge my credit card anyway. I never gave them my credit card information. They proceeded to charge the card we used last year--which is invalid by now. I called to ask them to refund the money because it was not authorized. They refused to refund it. I never signed anything authorizing them to touch my card or even an agreement that mentions a cancellation policy...NOTHING! I just called and they said okay, but when I called the next day to cancel he charged me! Be wary of this company!! They are rude and crooked!! read more

I was misquoted for our wedding. He never mentioned any extra charges, and they were never listed in my original contract. When I call to discuss this, he couldn't believe that I had the audacity to call 2 weeks later. Um sorry, I didn't realize I should have reviewed all my cc charged the day after my wedding and during my honeymoon. He yelled at me, laughed at me, called me a horrible person, and brought me to tears at how rude he was. Finally he yelled that the extra charges were the tip and gas and do I want to stiff the driver? Of course I would never stiff the driver. If he just told me from the beginning that there would be extra charges and what they were for, I would have been fine. There was no need for him to be so rude to a customer calling to clear-up a charge. And did I mention that the limo was missing a seat? We had 1 extra person (my photographer) come in the limo with us. He was going to sit in the front since it was a tight squeeze, and he couldn't because there was no seat. read more

I then went to another company, got a quote, made a reservation, got an email confirmation and an email reminder. I suddenly looked at my credit card statement and Colony Limousines charged me for NO SERVICE!!!!! I hate to call someone a dishonest business operator, but I have emailed 3 times to refund my charge, as they did not provide any service. Still no refund. This review is long overdue and actually crossed my mind again because I was in search for a limo service for a future date. Normally I like to use the same companies but unfortunately my experience with this company was not one worth repeating. I decided to submit this review directly to your company before rating it through your testimonial options on your website. My husband arranged for a limo service for myself and him only for my birthday. I had no idea that this was being done until we arrived at the airport and he advised me that there would be somebody waiting on us with a sign. When we arrived, there was no one there. As we were looking my husband saw a lady walking towards the section with the other chauffeur services whom he had already asked if they were there for last name Barber, all of which replied no. My husband then approached the lady and asked if she had our last name for pick up. She told him yes. He told her we would go to the restroom to change our clothes and be right out. When he came out the restroom please explain to me why YOUR representive stood back in the section with the chauffeurs holding the sign up as if she was still looking for Barber? (1st upsetting point) After we were situated and in the limo, everything was steady. We advised of our drop off location which was a restaurant midtown. Drop off was ok. We stayed at the restaurant for a couple of hours and then my husband called the driver to advise we were ready for pick up. When we walked outside, the limo was pulled up a few feet from the restaurant door. The driver did not get out to open the door, no type of acknowledgment or normal limo protocol was done. Myself and my husband got in the limo and advised of our final drop off. This is probably the most upsetting part. During our use of your limousine service it was just myself and my husband in the car. That is it. We arrived to our final destination, and our luggage was taken out by your driver and placed along the sidewalk. When my husband got out of the vehicle he grabbed 4 sodas. 2 sprites and 2 cokes. Your driver (Diane) told him that your company did not allow us to take sodas from the vehicle and that we would have had to drink them during the ride. This completely baffled me. I have used different providers for group travels, airport services,weddings and dining. I have never in my life been hassled over .50 sodas. Especially seeing as though it was just us 2 in the 10 passenger limo. My husband politely left the sodas as well as the champagne that we did not drink from. Of the 5 hours we booked the limo we were in the limo all of an hour and 45 minutes if I combined pick up and drop off. The served LACKED professionalism in every since of the word. It felt like we had a taxi driver for a limo chauffeur service. Normal protocols that we have experienced with other companies that come without hesitation or having to request was complete opposite of what we experienced. I was even more furious that the tip was inclusive seeing as though it was NOT AT ALL deserved. I am a very fair individual. I also like to reap the benefits of services booked. This was a birthday celebration for myself. The chauffeur company used to pick us up did not have limos. We were escorted in an SUV and was treated with 5 star treatment. I thanked my husband for the gesture but felt he did not at all get his money's worth. A taxi driver picks you up and drops you off. That is exactly what we got. From being treated as if we were not who were suppose to be picked up, to not being accompanied when finished dining after the restaurant, to being hassled for drinks that were in the limo, we would have been better off taking a super shuttle. I don't know if this was something only we endured, but it is dissapointing because again this was a celebration. As I stated this review was long overdue. Conversation came about of a limo company and it crossed my mind that I never notified you guys of this review. Whatever the reason for this experience it should be looked at that we are paying customers and first impressions are lasting impressions. To be "laxed" for something that we are "celebrating" is not a good combination. I hope this will be read from a customers point of view. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM UNLESS YOU ASK FOR A RATE FOR A LEAKING VEHICLE. (Leaking vehicles on rainy days should cost less, right?) I rented a Hummer ($500 plus tax and gratuity) 6 months in advance for my daughter's wedding. I visited Colony's location in Stafford on Mula Road to make sure they were a reputable company, but as it turned out they are not. The day of the rental it rained very hard and some of the bridesmaids got wet. The rain leaked through the moonroof and from the door. The driver said the rain dripped from the roof through to the door. Obviously then the driver was aware of the problem PRIOR to that day, otherwise how would he have known the door leak was from the moonroof leak? I tried unsuccessfully to contact the OWNER of the company who refused to call me back. Shalita offered $50 back to me---sorry that is just an insult. Are you kidding---$450 (instead of $500) for a leaking Hummer?? Shalita said she put the car through a water powerwash and asked the driver whether the car leaked. Sorry Shalita, I have 4 bridesmaids and a bride (and the driver if he is honest) who KNOWS THAT HUMMER LEAKED!!! Buyer beware. read more

We hired Colony Limo to take our office staff to an awards luncheon. The driver ran late on both pick up locations which caused us to be late to the awards luncheon. The driver also cut across a ditch. The driver was late again picking us up from the luncheon. When we called Colony Limos office to complain and to request a discount due to the bad service the man on the phone said it wasn't their fault, it was the traffic's fault. We told him he should have allowed more time to deal with traffic situations. He then started yelling... you f**king Americans over and over again. read more

My wife and I did not have a great experience. We ordered a shuttle to transport our guests to our wedding, but only half of the people had a chance to use it. There was a big communication breakdown from the start. We provided all the travel information, estimated, guests to be picked up, and how long we wanted the shuttle for upfront which was nicely documented in the order invoice. However, the driver got lost going to the venue, which threw off the logistics and after the first run asked if he was done even though are invoice included unlimited rides for essentially the day. Due to this occurrence half the guests had to Uber or drive to the venue to make it in time for the ceremony, and we had to delay the ceremony start time. The shuttle was very nice and clean and everyone got back safely, so the service was half a success. A process improvement tip for the company would be to provide an opportunity to talk with the assigned driver prior to the day of to hash out details. I asked if I could get the driver contact info before the day for this very reason but they told me that would be provided the day of. The problem there was the whole wedding party was already at the venue to set up, do ceremony walkthrough, and get ready. This may have been an anomaly in customer service since I have read many great reviews, but just wanted all to be aware. read more

THEFT!!! THEFT!!! My friend rented colony limo in stafford. I had left my purse in the car with a make up bag, curling iron and a wallet of 4 $20, 2 $100, and 2 $50 that I did not have time to deposit before the party but counted it in front of my best friend prior to leaving to decide how much to carry on me. I left my purse in the very end of the car behind drivers window. Limo driver dropped us at one bar and we walked to the next which he picked us up at and took us to our hotel. I had a wristlet I brought with me through out the night with $21,my debit card, id, phone and lip gloss. Never once did I have the opportunity for me to have spent any of the money other than what was in my wristlet. Next day I went to the bank to deposit my hard earned car payment.. Only to find two $100 and two $50 were GONE!! I have known this company to be used by many people and am shocked to no longer be able to trust this limo service. Let's face it sometimes people get drunk and spend too much. If there was any doubt in my mind that this scenerio was plausible I would not waste my time with this review.
