Plus it's serene and spacious, private and more upscale. It's a 15 -20 minute boat ride from the hotel to St Mark's Square they have a complimentary shuttle that runs every 30 minutes from the square and the hotel. Minuses it's away from the city center so not many choices for dinner. For me definitely more pluses than minuses. We took a private water taxi from the train station which we paid out of pocket but was worth it vs walking from the train station to the pick up area at St Mark's Square. We had free breakfast buffet each morning and and there were so many choices, both hot and cold. They even had an omelette station. Everyone was very friendly and the restaurant was beautiful. Our check-in process was smooth and easy. Stefano was great. The room was super spacious with a huge closet, huge bathroom and a great view. The grounds were beautiful and we took walks every morning. They have a rooftop pool, which is heated although we did not use it. There was a great view and restaurant from up there.

It feels like a nightmare... it is dusty and dirty and there was glass pieces on our floor when we walked in. The sheets felt like paper, the breakfast is lame and its €18, the terrace only fits two people, the cleaning was terrible... I am appalled that this place is running. $638 for 3 nights in Hell. Embarrassing.

The response I got was an email saying we can give you your money back and then I would be stuck last minute looking for hotel room and paying tremendous amounts for a regular room so I was forced to accept the other room they gave me which is a loft that is pretty unremarkable. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Another bait and switch at its finest.

It's a wonderful hotel tastefully restored with close attention to the original, historical character of the property but also keeping in mind some more modern amenities. The park is beautiful and makes for an idyllic and romantic party venue, especially close at sunset when the sky starts getting its orange hues. The rooms are decorated with original furniture pieces and are spacious and confortable. The bathroom is more modern with both a shower and bathtub. The entire hotel is sparkling clean and the staff is very professional, welcoming and eager to help. They also offer a complementary delicious Italian-style breakfast buffet. Prices are very moderate. The hotel also hosts a very popular high-quality restaurant (Il Doge), very well known for its grilled meat and fish. Regretfully, we weren't able to have a meal there due to our heavy schedule during our stay but we look forward to sampling some of its specialties during our next trip.

We booked a room at Hotel Due Leoni almost last-minute to visit some friends in Sacile and what a great accomodation it proved to be! The hotel furnishings are a bit outdated but this actually adds to its charme. I was very surprised to find a perfectly working vintage green SIP telephone on my nightstand- it was a sweet and nostalgic reminder of my youth. The rooms are very spacious with modern bathrooms and all the necessary amenities. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Piazza del Popolo and surrounded by beautiful Venetian-style buildings. An underground parking is available but it does require very skilled drivers to navigate the narrow parking slots. From the underground garage, an elevator takes you directly to the lobby and/or the rooms. The check-in process was fast and smooth with very professional and courteous staff. What really made a difference for us were the highest cleaning standards of the hotel: every surface was sparkling clean with nary a grain of dust to be found, all courtesy of their cleaning lady (I think her name was Elda and she came from Matera?) . Our room had a view on the Livenza River and the church. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend taking some noise-cancelling buds to protect your ears since the bells of the nearby church ring at every hour- it did not bother us. The breakfast buffet is deliciously scrumptious with plenty of variety. We would gladly stay here again.

It is located a short walk away from the central Piazza del Popolo inside a beautifully-restored old building which has been repurposed for the hotel. The rooms are quaint and decorated with taste and, most importantly, spotless clean thanks to hard-working Gianna (we hope we got her name right!). The front desk is manned by Elda and Rossella and they are friendly and ready to help you with any question you might have. The rates are very fair- we paid 90 Euros a night for a double room. Breakfast is an extra charge of 10 Euros per person. If you want to skip breakfast, there is a bar on the first floor that serves a great cappuccino and Italian pastries and a bakery right around the corner. The hotel also offers complementary parking across the street.

The staff was very accommodating, allowing us to shower and change for the wedding before check-in time in another room (which they then cleaned again!!). They also helped us out with the high tech a/c system via remote control when we had trouble turning it on at 10pm. Our room itself was large and very lovely, quite a lot of personality. We did end up with a room that had two separate double sleigh beds (a kind of wide single, not enough to sleep 2 people), while I might have preferred being able to sleep together with my husband. I am not sure they have "matrimonial" beds! The room is totally QUIET, and we heard nothing from the halls either, even though the hotel was quite full. The 4 star rating rather than 5 is because of the breakfast - nice service, but not a very rich breakfast, and somewhat sadly displayed in these plastic bowls with those hinged covers. I know it keeps the flies out but it looks really tacky. The price/quality ratio is excellent though with the double room costing only 84 euro for the night, booked directly with them.
