I completed the MA program recently and it was the best thing I have ever done. I guess some people learn slower Jack but the 5 week classes made it quick and easy. My friend is in the dental program and loves it, she is constantly telling me how much fun she has. I am working as an MA and they helped me get a job. If you want to change your place or better your family, IBMC was great. stop blaming others for your plight. School is what you make of it and it sounds like all you want is other people to do stuff for you.

I ended up coming back 3 days later because I was so embarrassed to go out in public. a new student was able to make my hair darker, but I still have red roots. Both times I left the salon I had dye on the back of my scalp that was never rinsed. Sometimes also on my forehead and ears. The students who did my hair were polite, professional, and they were amazing. The issue is in the curriculum or the teaching staff. I'm honestly embarrassed to leave the house.

It was easy to register and enroll for classes. Cost is much less than a 4 year college. Teachers and professors have all been great. The campus is beautiful and clean. I was chastised by her and asked if in the future, I could "compose a more formally-written email, especially given that we have not met." Lol. Ahhh, the irony. I am a 46 year-old with a Master's degree in English, who used to teach college. I do NOT need to be shamed or condescended to about the composition structure of my emails. I also don't think that is a great way to recruit students. I actually almost died several months ago from living in black mold, so I am struggling with chronic health & neurocognitive issues. I am tired & don't feel well. And I am tired of trying to reach a damn human being at these colleges, It's a mess. It's so easy to just go through life without making Choices of your own, but Colorado State (and the technical journalism department from the late 90s and early 00s) did a good job of giving me wings so that I may fly on my own. It isn't an AHIMA certified school so you won't be able to sit for the RHIT test and most notable hospitals are requiring a RHIT certification to hold a medical records position at their facility. Try Santa Barbara City College in CA instead. They have an online AAS program in HIM that is AHIMA certified and cost less than McKinley. The instructors at McKinley were slow to return emails and often the email replies used as few words as possible so the explanations to my questions were lacking. Medical coding in ICD-9 is particularly abstract so a student needs to be able to get prompt, sufficient replies in order to decipher which code to choose.

I also earned my Health Information Technology AAS from this school during 2/14. It isn't AHIMA…read moreapproved so I won't ever be able to get my RHIT but I can sit for the CPC or CCS exam. I found that most of the teachers didn't reply quickly to emails or extensively enough when they did reply. Now I'm stuck paying back a $10,000 loan to them $100 per month. I wish that I had know about Santa Barbara City College's online program at the time and I would have gone there instead. It is AHIMA certified and cost less that $3000 plus they have seminars to help you pass the various accredidation exams.
