My child tells me she flirts with them, asks questions about their love lives, is distracting them in class, pulling them out during class telling other teachers "its for an essay" but in reality its just because she wants to talk to them but cant while other teachers are trying to teach. So she takes them. She belittles the student teacher in the room, she passes kids based on how much she likes them, cheats on tests and assignments, does the work FOR THEM so they arent learning. And is trying to force other teachers to make her students pass their class by saying "english learners shouldnt get late points, or points of a test for talking while others test" and a bunch of other things that CAN ONLY BE APPLIED through IEP. They cannot LEGALLY have those without the proper IEP stuff. My child has told me Jenna is so rude and disrespectful to other teachers that its almost impossible to learn in ANY class with her in it. My child and their friends have ALL told me on several occasions "Jenna Alexander thinks she is this super cool really good teacher who knows all but in reality all she does is treat her coworkers like shit, she is really rude and disrespectful towards a student teacher who is trying to learn to become a teacher (which if i dealt eith Jenna i would NEVER step foot into Central AGAIN) she disrupts class, flirts with students, gets jealous if they talk about girls, belittles the S.T. and she acts more like a child than a teacher" so Central DO SOMETHING ABOUT HER. At the time, Central was an "arts magnet" school. That was superb. We visited various high schools to learn about their specialties. We spoke with members of the administration and the arts staff. The principal was inspiring and encouraging. The arts instructors were informative, competent, and likewise encouraging. We decided on Central, and are completely satisfied with the results. We made the right decision. It was a pleasure to attend the stage and musical performances during our time there. Sadly, we were told that Central let its arts magnet program. If so, it wasn't for long, as the arts magnet program is today in full force. Unfortunately, the student culture was not very good. (I grade on the bell curve. Not every school deserves an A+.) I do not know the current state of affairs, but when we were customers, we found that lectures on "bullying" had little if any effect, and judging from off-campus behavior, civics lessons made little impact. It is pretty amazing to see cars stop at intersections as Central's representatives parade obliviously by, against traffic lights!, snobbishly scowling at drivers they forced to stop. Traffic flow would be smoother if Greeley Central was a closed campus. When the students are more civilized, maybe in their fifth or sixth year of high school, then it might be okay for the administration to reconsider its policy for those presumably better civilized students. But by the time you read this, perhaps those school cultural issues have all been solved.

Great college offer at the end of the journey - and he was SO prepared! Everything worked - the teachers, the curriculum, the inclusive spirit, the overall vibe. Now? This place is falling apart in every way in the last few years: buildings that leak, teachers that can't prep even a simple science lesson or get a single student to earn even a '3' on an AP, administration that look and sound like boorish slobs, staff that honestly thinks a 4 day week is hard work. Apples to apples - my younger child is in no way ready for the world like my son. She needs remedial work, has no concept of math or science (writing is not so bad), and has a low sense of school spirit that, sadly, mirrors her peers. We stayed out of loyalty and familiarity; I totally regret that choice.

There was this amazing track held around the top of the gym, so if I wanted to I could have done a few convenient laps. The track team was practicing up there and I just thought about how absolutely amazing that was because It was cold outside, so their track team better be pretty great this year. We're rooting for you Greeley west track team!!! When I was sitting on the gyms bleachers as I watched my school take the last winning shot and won, I just realised how nice and roomy the gyms were and how the blue color they used was absolutely extravagant. They couldn't have gone with any other color. OHHH BUT THE BATHROOMS!!!!! They were extraordinarily gorgeous. We walked into the bathroom to be greeted by fountains of water coming from all directions, and crystal clear mirrors, which we got an amazing mirror pic in! When I sat on that toilet I felt like I was going into another world it was such a great experience. I personally don't think any other school is gonna beat how nice this school building was!! Comparing GWHS to the school I transferred from and to the school I go to now which is in the same district, GWHS just fails at everything! The students either ditch class, vape in class, not pay attention to the teacher or just just sleep in the classroom. The male bathroom was just a vape party people going into stalls and vaping then coming out and handing one to there friend and vape. Most of the teachers just didn't care or gave up. An example I had is when a math teacher left because so many students didn't bother to learn, it was so sad seeing a handful a students paying attention. I had the worst time there. I am thankful that I go to a better school, where teachers put in the effort to teach. I would highly recommend that you do not enroll your kid in this school.

But as the years went bye I have come to really adore fossil. I also did swim on the guys swim team all four years, and that really helped me make friends.
