Really impressed. My son and I have been planning a trip overseas since January. His passport expires after our return. I didn't realize that it had to be valid for six months after return and we discovered this a little more than two weeks before departure. We got an appointment and had to fly to Denver to take care of this. The agency is in a really nice area heavy on office buildings. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were able to get his passport same day and enjoyed killing time at the outdoor art museum. Not at all what I was expecting. Very happy with the service and the ability to get this resolved before our trip. Oh and helpful tip. If you're flying in/out of Denver don't make your itinerary too tight. We fly in the night before and had a flight out the next evening. Since the same day passports are picked up at 2 I was glad we didn't schedule it too tight. There's plenty to do in the area while you wait and DEN is only about 30 mins away. read more

Came here recently because my passport just expired and I needed a new one due to a last minute international trip. I logged on the website was able to snag an appointment easily. On appointment day I arrived to the building and it was easy to find a parking spot. There was virtually no line and a few minutes wait just to do security. Once I was in I was able to drop off my papers with 15 minutes. I was in and out from starry to finish in under 30 minutes. I was so impressed! They are hardworking and efficient! Must have an appointment before you go in person at the passport agency in Aurora, unlike several years ago. They seemed understaffed & overworked. Make sure you read all the requirements & take all pertinent documents, including your latest passport. It was so busy that I ended up driving to a Post Office near me.(P. S. not all PO's handle passports & the PO's also prefer an appointment, but they were very helpful & less hectic. read more

I recently came here with my friend to renew her passport for our trip coming up. I was also here back in January with my mom to renew hers too. I distinctly remember coming in a week or two before the inauguration and seeing Bidens' photo on the wall and thinking to myself, "I wonder what Trump picture will look like." And while I don't particularly care for either party, I understand why a federal building displays the picture of the current president. To my surprise, when I came this week, the picture of Biden was down, and there was no picture of Trump in its place. If you can't remove your own political personal beliefs at your place of work while working for the federal government, maybe you shouldn't be working for the government to begin with. It's unfortunate the division that is felt even at the passport office. It definitely left me wondering about the integrity of the administration running this office. Do better. I was at the Aurora Colorado passport office this morning 6/18/25 From 8:15 A.M to 10:00 A.M. the Metal detector goes off no problem going through security in the morning they pass me through two new knees I have to go back in the afternoon to pick my passport up i get there at 12:23 P.M. to go through security same security staff on duty as this morning the metal detector goes off again then this security guy tells me to lift my pant legs so he can check my knees not his job and i really mean not his job to check my disabilities or My Catheter other security personnel that were on duty that helped me in the morning told him to let me go through that television they watch must turn some of their brains into mush the television they watch needs to go or that security employee needs to go all i know is he used to work in California and must have gotten a very low job performance appraisal and got hit in a Federal rif and got a job offer at the Aurora Colorado Passport Agency Well it is time for him to start looking for a new job read more

WOW WOW WOW! We were in and out in under 30 minutes. This was such a positive experience that we never expected. Everyone was kind and friendly which blew us away! You never get this kind of treatment at government offices! Big kudos to everyone at this office for making this an efficient and great experience. We booked a last minute trip and didn't realize out little girls passport was expired. The online process was easy, and instructions were clear. I was able to make an appointment through the website and print out all forms and instructions to take with us. I We needed our passport renewed in less than 2 weeks! . Such a huge waste of time, live 2 hours away but I have to come back 5 days from now to get my passport because they wouldn't do it same day for me because I live just under 100 miles away. Could have given me an exemption so I could wait and get it today but nooooo they wouldn't do it. Handicapped waiting for surgery and now I have to cancel doctors appointments just because they couldn't understand that and want me to drive 2 hours back here. That's on top of all of the people pushing past me while I got patted down because of my metal hips setting off the detector. If I knew they were going to screw me like this I would have just gone to a passport service and paid the extra 100 dollars to them instead. Literally every time a day involves interacting with federal employees in any capacity, it's going to be an awful day. read more

I had a brother in law loose his passport at the airport on Saturday on his way to Mexico. United personnel told him about the local agency but had no detailed information on passport replacement. We immediately called the National number. Since he had a flight that was delayed due to circumstances they scheduled him for 8 am Monday. YOU NEED new passport photos to take with you. Also need drivers license or government issued ID. We had taken picture of original passport before trip so that was helpful to have printed a copy of picture. Walgreens provided photos for $16. We arrived 15 mins early as suggested and were 6 in line. No food or drink allowed in office. You pass through security. There is paperwork to complete. All employees were friendly and helpful. After paperwork and payment processed we were told to return between 2-3 to pick up new booklet. So NO flight can be booked before 4 pm on day of appt due to having to go back to pick up after booklet printed. Hats off to efficient process with the agency. I have been trying to get a hold of someone for days! I leave March 21st and my passport still says in process from my online renewal since January. It's been 7 weeks. I paid for the expedited time and the 1-2 day delivery. My trip can't be refunded. It's frustrating when you can't even speak to someone because the line is busy or says can't take my call at this time. I am out of options now and getting nervous. They is no call back option and if there is please tell me how because i've been through the phone system so many times. Today I stayed on the line for 4.5 hours and it hung up. I have been trying to reach ANYONE in the passport agency since the beginning of march. This is the most difficult facility I've had to deal with when it comes to any government agency, DO NOT RELY on these people. The best thing to do is reach out to your congress representative and they can help you out. Great office, efficient, friendly staff and very organized! It has s best to make reservation before you come in but walk-Ins are available as well. Beyond stressed. Traveling in 5 weeks. Last minute travel because my husbands health is poor and may not be here in 6 months. I Thought having passport expire in 2023 was ok but it's not 6 months passed last day of travel. Too late to process 4-6 weeks and too soon to call for an appointment for 2 week processing. Nothing in between. Really anxious about there being an available appointment. Why can't an appointment be booked now for the two week period prior to departure to easy the stress. Carol king was so pleasant to deal with- happy & extremely helpful . We were rescheduled due to snow & apparently person I spoke to scheduled for a week after... not today but we were fine without it as we arrived early. At the final window Robin was just as friendly. This experience was much less stressful then I anticipated as I had my paperwork all ready, and required forms of IDs. Checked in at 8:40 after top security screening and was out by 9:06 am! Getting/renewing your passport can be a real pain, but this place makes the process so easy and stress free! First of all, I'm really happy with the customer service here. I talked to three different clerks during the whole process of my passport renewal and all of them were awesome and super friendly! I came here on a Friday afternoon without an appointment and the wait for everything was not long at all. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. I am a flight crew member so it's kind of hard for me to make time to come and do these things and the clerk who mainly helped me made sure that I got taken care of right away. I was able to get my passport within two hours. I can't guarantee that anyone will be able to do this, but I am definitely appreciative that they were able to do this for me as I had work that following Sunday (and needed my passport). The location is very clean and well organized. There are many seats for waiting. I was kind of expecting a dmv experience here, but this is definitely stress free and easy compared to going to the dmv! Thanks to the awesome workers here for taking care of me! read more

I booked us a flight to/from Colorado (from the bay area since there were zero appointments in SF/SEA/LA/SD/PDX). I showed up on the Friday before we were scheduled to travel to Mexico. The workers at the agency are amazing. They use a little humor, alot of professionalism and they execute! Got our passports in our hands a few short hours after getting there. Make sure you have all items that are on the list for a passport and you should be set! So grateful to this team of individuals for helping expedite our passports and turn it around so quickly so we were able to make our flight back to the bay area. read more

Worthless! Received only passport card but not my passport. I leave in 5 days! I renewed 4 months ago. Can't talk to anyone. Yelp response from the Passport Agency says leave a call back number, but that is never an option. The Aurora phone number listed in Yelp is no longer in service. Lots of people need good jobs, so please hire people to help travelers get their passports. Pathetic!!! read more

3 days before leaving for Alaska this summer, my husband and I discovered that his passport had mysteriously disappeared from our "safe place." For the 12 hours we were going to be in Canada and to board the cruise ship, we both had to have passports. There might have been some tears, some yelling, little waves of nausea. Thanks to Google and Yelp, we found this office in Aurora. Most government agencies are staffed by people that are used and abused by the general public and as such tend to not be overly friendly. That was not the case here! My husband got a really nice employee who looked at our travel itinerary, collected the totally reasonable $170 and told him to come back the following day after they printed his passport. He drove down the next day and the following day we left for our trip! Such an amazing service to have here in Colorado, especially as there are few offices in the country who can actually print a passport, let alone with a day turn around. read more

My son is going on a Mission Trip to Mexico his date of travel is June 10. I applied a month ago and paid for expedited service and overnight shipping. I called the 1 (877) 487-2778 at 2 weeks and 1 day and was told to call back within 14 days, called again and was told by the representative that my sons application had been updated with his date of travel and that his passport is urgent due to travel for mission/ humanitarian trip. I was also told to call back if I did not have his passport on June 5. Well it's now it's June 8 and I don't have it. His flight us scheduled to leave on June 10. The staff at this office is absolutely amazing! They are working under extreme pressures since the pandemic which could cause for some resentment but no, the exact opposite. Everyone was helpful and kind. I needed an emergency passport because my mother recently died. I was concerned that I wasn't going to make it because of my lost passport. Everyone from the information desk, who gave me a tissue to wipe my eyes, to the ticket counter person who finalized all my paperwork was kind and supportive time. I even offered to bring them back coffee or food and they all declined and said they were just doing their job. More places should learn from them with such great customer service. 5 hrs a day on the phone holding have gotten no where. Waiting 2 mos to tell me they need an additional doc which I have overnighter to them for my 2 Lil girls that maybe only 2 not able to go out 13 family members.
