Concert opener and headliners were pretty good considering technical difficulties. I caught some good sized fishies too. 22" Rainbow and a 20" brown...and one got away because of operator error. We came back in the morning of our trip, bought our licenses and waited for the guide. While waiting we heard the clerk calling the guide to find out why he wasn't there yet, but he had no clue he was supposed to work so no trip. The clerk said the owner "John" forgot to schedule a guide. Guess what John didn't forget to do? He remembered to charge me for the other half of the trip that same morning. The clerk said he didn't know how to refund our money so we'd have to wait for the owner who he couldn't reach on the phone. I wish this was the end of the story. I called my CC company when we returned only to find out they only refunded me half the cost of the trip. I called the fly shop several times leaving messages over the next week and a half, but they never called me back or emailed me about the mix up or my refund. Finally they refunded the other half of the trip, but not the cost of our licenses, which we never got to use. I hire guides often on trips so I'll say this to my fellow fishing travelers: Avoid this shop! Mistakes happen, but how I was treated after the problem shows the real character of this place and the ownership. Are you listening Orvis? Is this who you want representing you?
