Very good communication and guidance during the sign up process and good information provided prior to arrival. The river experience was excellent. Our guides (Anna and Kaitlyn) were informative and entertaining during our 45 minute ride to the drop in near Glenwood Canyon. Our family felt very safe in their hands and we had a lot of fun on this trip. Anna was a fantastic guide and boat captain. After the excitement of the rapids we spent about another 1.5 hours floating and sometimes swimming. Highly recommend for people who haven't done it before.

We would love to go here again because we had a great time, but I would need to have a manager or something sign off on the quote we receive to avoid the big balloon in price that we experienced, that was really hard pill to swallow. Regarding the drastic price change, we called in advance and received a quote for $700 for two 8-person rafts and a shuttle to get us there (screenshot provided). Unfortunately, we were told the morning we all arrived that the quote was incorrect and the shuttle cost was per person and not per shuttle. It also looks like the "Land & River Use Fee" nearly doubled as well, even though we did not change the amount of equipment we were renting. I told the staff that we would move forward with the cost because everyone was already there and they said they would charge us appropriately. They said our two dogs were not allowed in the shuttle, so we had to drive them up separately, but I was told later that dogs were allowed and could have gone in the shuttle. Once we got back down from the river float, we saw the charge was $1036, a 48% increase in cost compared to our quote, I was shocked, and after speaking to the staff there, it looks like we were over charged by the two shuttle costs of the folks who had to driven up, so we ended up in the high 900's, but still much higher than quoted. Overall, I'm happy we got to use the rafts, but I would warn others to speak to a manager when confirming costs and to be prepared for over charges or at least an increase in cost at the end of the trip.

The drive to most places where you put in boats on the river are 30 to 40 minute drive so very close to the Vail area and convenient. A recent trip with " Matt " was one of the best I've had in which we had both experienced and beginners in our crew and Matt catered to every level as we went down the river and provided great river training skills and even acted as "photographer" for the trip . We came up from Cedar Park, TX (outside Austin) and had a place in Vail. We were looking to get…read moreout on the river, and found Colorado River Center at Rancho Del Rio. This place is absolutely amazing. It's really cool the somewhat new owners Jim and Lauren....about as cool and easy going as it gets. I brought my family of 5, my wife, my 15 year old daughter and my sons 18 and 20....before my new grad heads off to West Point. We looked at some of the cabins, and you can see all the work the new owners have put into them, they look amazing, and a lot have been re-decorated. It's a very cool rustic. My wife and daughter loved the gift shop and the cool shirts. The guide Jeremy took us out, and my wife does not like the water, and he kept her pretty happy in the middle with the gear. We got out and saw some historical 1840's old cabin and other stuff, was completely awesome! We will be getting back there as soon as we can, the views driving in and out of there are almost worth the drive. They had a great little adult beverage store, pretty awesome to have out in the middle of nowhere...with no cell coverage which I loved....no work calls ,ha. Pretty family friendly, and the little wedding event setup looked cool.

Had a wonderful day with Greg our guide. My wife and I have…read morebeen on many four by four trips, but this was by far the best. The pass are wide and safe. You see everything from open planes to tall mountain views. We got to ninety six hundred feet elevation from seventy five hundred feet,the starting point. Dust on the paths were doable with no issues. The helmets and face mask, as well as eye protection, were provided and worked awesome. Craig, the owner is very welcoming and does a super job running his company. I had a problem with my phone service. And he loaned me his phone for over an hour till I got my problem resolved. Way beyond the call of duty.

Joe and his friendly, helpful staff run a tight shop, storing your skis, drying your boots, all the while serving up a breakfast spread, snacks during the day, and a nice little spread with wine and beer in the early afternoon as an après-ski reception. That's when things Collins get real busy and finding a spot to sit is more challenging than skiing down Pepi's face at the end of a long tiring day. Membership is comparatively reasonable ($10K initiation, $3K p.a. dues). Unfortunately, it's only open to residents of the Cordillero community.

Only snafu for me was the club rental. They have nice new Calloway rental sets. They asked if I wanted senior clubs and I said yes. Unfortunately the senior clubs were some beat up old Titleists so stay away from those. The rangers did keep play moving which I greatly appreciated. Some people spend too much time and psychic energy bonding with their golf balls and slow down play. You will definitely lose a few balls on this course so just expect it, live with it and keep moving. With the thick vegetation and the meandering creek these balls are gone forever so just let them go. II'd play here again anytime!

So since the twilight was only $100, I decided to fork over the cash and enjoy a round on a beautiful course tucked into the mountains. Course was kept up very well. The views were amazing. Lots of elevation changes. I rented clubs as well and they were very nice (Taylormade). Beer cart lady was on the course. She offered snacks, beers, soft drinks, and liquor. I wish I could play golf on courses like this all the time. I typically play up at Cape Royale on Lake Livingston. No comparison. If you get a chance, spend the money and play golf in Colorado during the summer. All the courses I passed on 71 in the many ski resort towns looked very nice.
