The price for what you get is egregiously overpriced even when accounting for how expensive the Vail Valley is these days. I recommend this experience if you are ultra wealthy to the point where cost/value ratio means nothing to you. I don't recommend this trip of you appreciate the concept of value in any way. There is a way to get the same experience with better accommodations for MUCH less: 1. Whether you are an absolute beginner or an advanced kayaker who has not paddle the Colorado company this company has something for everybody For the beginner, they have amazing lessons and safety training and for more advanced paddlers, they have can take you down challenging river runs It's also the "complete package" --they have all the equipment all the logistics worked out . you just show up at their place in Edwards and they take care of everything and then bring you back to the point of origin. The drive to most places where you put in boats on the river are 30 to 40 minute drive so very close to the Vail area and convenient. A recent trip with " Matt " was one of the best I've had in which we had both experienced and beginners in our crew and Matt catered to every level as we went down the river and provided great river training skills and even acted as "photographer" for the trip . On June 26, 2026 I went in to get some leader and tippet. There was a customer with his two…read moreteenage daughters getting outfitted for a guided trip by the two nice men on the front step. The customer was inside and asking questions the old gray haired shop worker hadn't answered. The customer asked question after question because the old man hadn't explained the trip well. The old man then started barking orders at the guides who were already helping the daughters with exactly what he was barking about. I moved over the leaders and tippets and saw the prices were 20% higher than any shop I'd been in on the I-70 corridor. The old man then came in and told me, "I'm kicking you out." I was the only one in the shop. I said, "Kicking me out?" The old man replied, "Yeah, I'm too busy. You have to leave." I didn't argue and left. After walking out, the old man closed the door and then began barking more orders again. Micromanaging the situation. I have never been treated like this in any fly shop in my 35 years of fishing. I will never shop there again, nor recommend anyone shop there. Customer service is nonexistant and the old man, pictured in the post is rude and unprofessional.

We got to experience the resident sheep that graze the area. UTV's that we road were very new and I only think we were riders number 4 or 5 in these razor's we took out.
