We had the BEST time snowmobiling at Sage door adventures. We had a private tour with Wes's and had an amazing experience. We had never snowmobiled before and will absolutely be back. Wes's made sure we had the right gar, and gave an in to the sled. I was especially nervous, but Wes kept an eye on me and my confidence soared. By the end I didn't want our time to be over. I would recommend Sage to anyone who wants to have a fun, safe, experience with the best guides around. We will be back!

They are a very good team .The snowmobile is easy to learn. I really like it. The guide is very nice

We had a great experience! This was our group's first time snowmobiling. Garrett was a great guide. We highly recommend this place!

Had an Adventure Snowmobile Tour and the experience was fantastic- everything I imagined a backcountry snowmobile tour would be. Grant was an amazing guide and made the ride truly memorable. He was knowledgeable, fun, enthusiastic, and professional and I felt safe and taken care of throughout the ride. We were able to do some challenging trails as it turned out I was the only one in this tour group so it was extra special. Highly recommend the experience and Grant as a guide!

This was my first time whitewater rafting and as a 40 something, plus size woman I was terrified (but still REALLY wanted to do it!). I was very happy to have Lucy as our guide, the only female I saw that day. She was patient and even encouraged me to jump in the swimming area of the Shoshone Cannon by reassuring me she would be able to get me back in the raft (and she did... and it was an amazing experience I'll never forget). For an August trip I would recommend wearing a ton of sunblock and a shirt/shorts over your suit to avoid sunburn. Also, bring a bottle of water. Finally, do NOT use the bathroom at the drop off site (nothing to do with Sage, their facilities were very clean). Highly recommend!

We used this company to go on an ATV tour and it was amazing. Kudos to Finn for being an excellent tour guide. The ATVs can seat 4 people and you have plenty of time to swap drivers if that's what you want to do. Finn showed us some amazing stops that lead to amazing views of the area. The tour itself is relatively safe and isn't nearly as intense as others around the country that involve driving over boulders. You will still go through some bush and be able to pick up some speed in other areas to really make the most of an ATV drive. Definitely recommend!

I highly recommend Sage Outdoor Adventures. The Brown's Canyon rafting trip was amazing and our guide, Lizzie, was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable about that portion of the river and navigated us through rapids named Pinball, Toilet Bowl and Meat Grinder, to name a few. Great experience overall for the family.

    ATVing with Garrett

Our adventures with SAGE started when I made the reservations. I dealt with James and what an experience. He was helpful and accommodating. I had to call back a few times to update our bookings and he never once sounded put out! It was great! On 9 July, our group was scheduled to go ATVing at 2:30. On the way to the ranch, we came upon a vehicle that had rolled off the road. We stopped to assist the driver (who thankfully was not seriously injured). When the guys (I believe it was Austin, Garrett, and Bryan) at the ranch heard we were involved (we were not -just witnessed) an accident they jumped into an ATV and came down the mountain to make sure our group was ok and to assist where needed! They even held off on the 2:30 tour until we were finished with the police and were able to make it to the ranch! They went above and beyond what anyone had to do! Thank you doesn't cover the feelings of appreciation we have for them. So, our group of five, including a 15- and 12-year-old, went ATVing with Garrett! This was my second time ATVing with SAGE, and I was not disappointed. Garrett was personable, funny, knowledgeable, and accommodating! He even gave us the full two hours even though he should have been off the clock! Could not ask for better!!! The very next day, four of our group was going White Water Rafting! We had never been and were a bit apprehensive. How lucky we were that Austin showed up to be our guide! And Colton hitchhiked a ride on the raft!! What a blast! Austin was focused on having fun, only second to making sure we were all safe! He explained everything clearly and put us all at ease. I have never had so much fun doing anything! So worth every penny we spent!! Not only will I go back to SAGE for all of my Colorado adventures - but Garrett and Austin will be our requested tour guides!! Thank you James, Austin, Garrett, Bryan, and yes even you Colton - for making our outdoor adventures so spectacularly memorable!

We had such a fantastic experience with Sage. Their staff are so welcoming and we had such a wonderful time. I highly recommend this company. Be sure to ask for Jen. She is so much fun and will keep your safety a top priority. We will definitely be back.

This was the only option available because it was September and water levels were too low for the other higher class trips. Regardless, we had a blast and our guide Keagan was amazing. After checking in at the office, it was about a 20-25 minute van ride to the launch site. After going through safety instructions, we were on our way down the river. It was a really mellow section with very little actual "whitewater rafting", and more of a float. Keagan was spitting off facts and talking to everyone the whole time which was great. Very informative and personable. Along the way we stopped at a natural hot spring and everyone got out of the rafts and "warmed up" in the warm water. Right after that, we hopped back in the rafts and floated just a little further down to a cliff jumping spot. I can't remember how high it was (approx 40-50ft?) but 5 of us did it. Keagan jumped too, and gave us all instructions on jumping safely. After that the trip wrapped up pretty quickly, loaded everything into the van and headed back. It was a great trip and I'm happy we chose them over some of the larger companies. We always like to support small business when possible. Yes, I would highly recommend using Adventures in Whitewater for your next rafting trip in CO.

Brian took on the challenge. I started out the day with mixed feelings. I caught a fairly large rainbow trout and I let it go as Brian handed it to me. Suggestion, ask Brian right off the bat how to hold these fish so they don't slip out of your hands. They are slimy for a reason. It is a protective gift God gives them. If you drop it, let it fall in the boat/raft. Brian is an excellent instructor and nothing gets past him. I was amazed at his ability to row and watch my bob at the same time with great precision. This company set my wife and I up with an overnight float experience - I have nothing to complain about the experience itself. We had a great time. Great guide, smooth process. The price we were quoted was extremely high but it was our anniversary and we assumed the price would reflect the value of services rendered. In hindsight, bottom line: All things considered, in my opinion, you pay for a Ferrari and get a BMW. The price for what you get is egregiously overpriced even when accounting for how expensive the Vail Valley is these days. I recommend this experience if you are ultra wealthy to the point where cost/value ratio means nothing to you. I don't recommend this trip of you appreciate the concept of value in any way. There is a way to get the same experience with better accommodations for MUCH less: 1. For almost 50% less, stay at the 4 Eagle Ranch down the road for meals and lodging: VERY unique remote glamping experience with classy yet low key tent bar/restaurant on the hillside. Objectively better/more unique food/lodging experience and it's actually massively cheaper! 2. Turn to Co. Hi all! The…read moreAdventure Company was very professional from start to finish, and they were fun too. My family and I went rafting, and at that time, the Arkansas River was really high. There were some rapids that were very exciting, and the water was really cold, but it was funny for everyone else when I was getting soaked in the front. The water is COLD, but you get used to it pretty quickly. The rapids relaxed down in about 10 minutes, and it was a pretty smooth ride for the rest of journey. The total trip was about an hour and a half, which is a good time for younger kids. David was a great guide, and he was funny and entertaining, yet knowledgeable and passionate about many things adventure. He trained everyone in the raft the do-s and don't-s of rafting, and made sure everyone was prepared in case of emergency. He showed the techniques of how to maneuver the raft, and how to 'rescue' your buddy if they fell in. We had ages 7-57 in our group, and it was fun for everyone. If you are a beginner or have younger, more senior people in your group, I would suggest a level 1-2 experience. If you have a group of more confident, or medium-good physically fit people who like a bit more adventurous time, I would suggest a higher level of rapids. The rest of the staff in the office were very friendly, and the office and amenities were clean and organized. They had changing rooms, and clean guest bathrooms complete with showers if you so desire. They have free lockboxes for you to leave your keys or other valuables if you need. They offered picture packages, but allowed you to take whatever devices you wanted on the raft. They advise against it, and take no responsibility for your lost items, however, they did not prevent us from bringing them (we did not bring our devices). It was a little bit of a hike from Dillon, Frisco area. About 2 hours drive, but the scenery is amazing, and with good company, it makes an easy drive. You pass through some interesting towns on the way if you want to stop and get lunch or dinner! Overall, this was an awesome trip!
