First time at the salon and it was a great experience! I came in for a root touch-up and appreciated how efficient the process was-- just 50 minutes total. Everyone was pleasant and welcoming from the moment I walked in. I had a consultation with Ro, who was great, and Kiki did a wonderful job washing my hair. Wow, I wish I had read these reviews before I made an appointment. I was so excited that I found an ammonia free 10 minute dye salon. I saw this as a pop up on social media. People in the comments shared that the best stylist was Kaylee. So I proceeded to make an online appointment with Kaylee. I drove 35 minutes since this is the closest location to me and I arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment. A lady approached the desk and I said I was there for an appointment with Kaylee and she said no you're with me. I was confused I don't like to leave my hair up to chance. I make appointments based on word of mouth referrals, especially when going to a new salon. She said Kaylee is fully booked today. She cannot do your hair. At this point, a man stands up, comes over looks at the computer and rudely says " you're a first time client it shouldn't matter who you work with" I said I don't doubt that the stylist can do hair. However, I made an appointment with Kaylee and I would like for her to do my hair. He said you don't have an appointment with Kaylee. At this point I try to show him my email confirmation and he says it doesn't matter what that shows. You don't have an appointment with her today. At no point did anyone say hello to me or I'm sorry for the miscommunication. I could see Kaylee in the back doing someone's hair. She completely ignored me. I'm frustrated at this point. I had an event to go to that night and not enough time to make an appointment elsewhere so i said if she dyes my hair I'd like a blowout as well. He says we don't have time to do a blowout for you. You can blow dry your own hair. Mind you him and the other stylist had no one to work with and they were both sitting when I was there. They have a self dry bar but they do offer blow dry service as well. I could tell that he just wanted to get me out of the salon at that point so I asked his name? He said my name is Julio the manager. I was astonished!! I said I'm going to go now but you've been incredibly rude and I will be leaving a review for this establishment. They all laughed and he waved me out the door. When I went I went to write my review, I realized they have many negative reviews. I don't know how this place stays in business and I would hope the owner would see what's happening here and correct these issues because it really is a great concept. However, I've never encountered such disrespect and poor customer service in a business. I would start with replacing management and retraining the employees. I like this place because of the convenience and great price to just get my roots updated. But it also depends on who you get. You definitely need to find the stylist you like. My first visit, she had no customer service understanding. My second visit, she literally only colored 1 inch of my roots and left the 2nd inch uncolored, without even telling me! The website says roots can be up to 2 inches long. Why would she just ignore the 2nd inch and not even say anything to me??? I had bought a package with visits remaining so I just went again and chose someone new. I love her! Mia! I will always be working with her now. She explained that 2 inches is too long, really, and at that point they would need to do the whole head, but that should have been explained to me last time. I was at 1.5" this time, and she made sure she got everything. Now I know when to come in and who to schedule with! I do love the color, which is mixed by a machine so no one can really mess that part up, right? They just need to apply it everywhere! I'm low maintenance and I don't want to have to get a full hair job done every 2 months just because my roots are graying more. So I do really like this option. I still need to go every 2.5 months but it's affordable. More salons should offer this! read more

I have been coming here for a while now. I go there for one reason only (hair color) so I have managed to overlook the lack of professionalism shown by manager Kiki. She is loud and rude and gossips with the staff but ignores the customers. While color is still in your hair, you are asked (out loud) how much tip you would like to leave. Today was the straw that broke the camels back. I had an issue with my car and called to say I would either be a little late or needed to reschedule. The nice girl who answered the phone told me that the manager would call me right back. Minutes later , I got a call from Kiki who demanded my Credit Card number so she can charge for being a no show! I explained the situation, but she persisted, being condescending and arrogant and actually hung up on me. I really had much higher expectations for this place, very disappointing! read more

Sure are rude here. They have a lot of Rules and apparently I broke "3" of them. I got in trouble, as a Customer, for "3" different things, that is. Today was first time in my life that I never tipped a shampoo girl due to her rudeness followed by "fake" kindness. I suspect her behavior towards me- a customer- is known by a psychological term (I heard of in relationship discussions)called PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE, though this is only an educated guess. At lowest point the shampoo girl told me something along the lines "[blah-blah-blah] all day long, the last thing I need is YOU yelling at me." She was referring to me announcing from a separate room that my hair timer concluded. Before that my competent colorist reprimanded me as she took my credit card payment about how if I came in "like that again" they wouldn't be able to take me next time. She was referring to a "knot" in my hair and how time-consuming it was as a they are on a strict schedule of ten-minute increments I think she was explaining. She is right about that. Still made me feel bad whereas other places I go are nice to me and make me feel good *as opposed to bad). A final reprimand was about the towel around my neck when I stood up from the shampoo bowl and attempted to walk towards storefront. I could not get out of here quick enough today. The rudeness, insults, sarcasm made me not want to spend my money in such a place much less remain any longer than was absolutely necessary. Because most ppl. get up, I figured out, from the "bowl" and proceed to rear of store to dry their own hair- & I didn't go that way- the shampoo girl sternly (angrily) told me "then I'm gonna' need that towel back" as if, really, she thought I was trying to "walk off with" said small black towel. I did not appreciate being accused of trying to steal (?) a towel. The instruction I had was "leave it at your station" so my intention all along- while trying to escape this establishment- was to leave it on seat back at my original color station at front of store. We'll, that turned out to be a wrong assumption. The color service was about $48 ($8 of which was delineated as Service Charge on receipt, I noted afterwards) as I recall, and I left a cash tip for my colorist at said color station up front while asking about my receipt (would be emailed I was told). It feels good to be out of there and I am glad my color got done in time for Easter. In hindsight, I'd rather pay twice as much at a place where I am treated with kindness. read more

Was there yesterday to get my roots touched up. They did not have a color for me. I am a natural Strawberry / blonde, turned grey. They were telling me that a light brown matched my hair. When I said that is brown, not any shade of red at all, they said I guess they don't have a color for me. What a waste of my time, gas and great disappointment, as I expected to get my hair colored that day. I even said I had strawberry /blonde color when I made my appointment. Seems to me if you only do color you should have every color or at least be able to mix a color to match. Don't bother going there if you have any shade of ginger/red hair. Let me first say that I was a customer at the Coral Spring location for approximately a year. I endured glitches with the color machine , runny color that made my face black. I did not comment as I understood that things could happen ...technology is not perfect. Unfortunately, I cannot stay quiet on the issue I encountered recently. I have black hair and in my hair has grey roots. I went in on 12/27/2025, after I blow dried my hair, I pointed out to the colorist that my roots are not colored they are a shade of light brown. I was told it's lighting at the salon. The salon is closed on Sunday and Monday plus New year holiday, I was not able too book anything u til today(1/7/2026). I explained my issue and Kiki would not take ownership of the issue on behalf of the salon or attempt to see my hair to evaluate the issue. Her response.."it's over 7 days and u can only shoveled appointment and there will be a charge to redo my hair. This is THE WORST customer service. As mentioned, I was tolerant of bad color formulas and runny colors that stain my face but I do not tolerate poor customer service. STAY AWAY from this place!!!!!!!! Service is quick. That's the good part. You sit down right on time for your appointment. I was just having roots done so they mixed same color from last time. It was ready in a minute. Literally. The colorist brings over the color and paints it on. No tabe or product to keep it off my skin. Ten minutes later you go to a tech to wash the color out of your hair. You pay and you're done. You can go to the back and use one of their driers so you don't have to leave with wet hair. The staff members are very pleasant which makes the very fast experience a pleasant one. One suggestion: the place need some updating and a deep cleaning. The chairs that you sit in with product on your hair are full of hair color. Hard not to think of staining your clothes. Needs a cleanup. The chairs where you can dry your hair are all ripped. Lastly, the floors throughout and corners and bathroom are not clean. Deep clean necessary. Fortunately the staff is friendly and pleasant. It costs $60 for very quick root touch up and remember to bring your own brush etc so you don't have to use their supplies. read more

I have lots of gray as I am in my mid 50s. The membership is only $30 a month. They get you in and out in record time which is great. I hate sitting. The color is great. The girls are nice. I've been coming here for about 6 months now and my hair was in bad shape but not anymore thanks to professionals like Ro and Kiki! The ambience and music are wonderful as well! You don't have any strong smells because of the products used so I can go often. The color is always guaranteed and I can style my own hair which I love or have someone style it for me. There upbeat personalities and welcoming attitude makes a huge difference to the overall experience! My Yelp friend Barbara gave me a coupon for this new salon. She said she had gone there and she was happy with the job they did. The coupon was for a free roots coloring at their salon. Count me in. Just looking in the mirror told me that I needed to go. I called and made an appointment for later that day. I was told the coloring would be free. The only charge would be $8.00 instead of tipping. I got to the salon on time. The place was attractive and appeared to be very clean. There were several employees behind the desk. They all wore masks. When I checked in I was treated like a special guest. I was questioned about any problems I have with my hair and what color I like. They showed me swatches of hair to pick out my color. I told them I would like to go a little darker since my color was a little faded. I was told that they use a special color formula that only takes about 10 to 15 minutes to set. The formula is good for your hair and doesn't have a chemical odor. They were right. The next step was washing my hair. Their shampoo smelled wonderful. There are hair dryers if you want to dry your hair or they'll blow dry it for an up charge. I loved the way my hair looked and felt. I'll have to see if the color lasts. They have a membership program which is optional to join. For $30 plus the $8 in leu of gratuity you can come in to have your roots colored once a month. If you want to come in without joining the price is a little more. The salon only does three things. They do Roots coloring, whole head coloring, and blow drying. Everyone there was very nice and enthusiasm. I could tell that they enjoyed being there. I didn't join the club but I'm thinking about it. So far, I'm happy with the way my hair looks and feels. So - I ate at the bakery next to ColorOnly and saw the sign. It sparked my interest so I Googled it. Ended up making an appointment for today. Guys, this place is revolutionary. ALL of the staff members were awesome, very polite and each took personal responsibility for the customer experience. I love the step by step process, there is a consultation area where they explain the process and get you into the system, then your stylist adds the color, next you sit in the processing are (literally takes 10 minutes), from there they rinse it out and then you have the option of having them blow dry your hair or you can DIY at the blow dry station. AND - no headache because there are absolutely NO CHEMICAL FUMES! I feel very confident is stating that this is going to change the way we see salons. 10/10. Will definitely recommend. Used to be one of my favorite places. New manager is unhelpful and condescending. I was a customer since before it opened its doors to the public. Worked closely with Shari, Trish, Katie, and even Stephen to get my hair color perfect. Shari did a custom color profile for me. My hair looked great. I'm saddened that the accommodations once made for my mental disability are no longer a priority to this new manager. After refusing to have upper management call me, and lying to me saying he was the only one I could talk too, I will be going elsewhere, not just because the new manager decided to call me back and say I could no longer come back there, but because the dynamic that once made it a place I felt safe in, is no longer there. I went to this place once before, the service was okay, so I decided to go back because they offered me a discount. I live 40 minutes away from the place and I got a lot of traffic, my appointment was 5:20, I was 6 minutes late when the front desk staff called me saying they could still see me if I got there until 5:30, I said okay because I was pretty close. At exactly 5:30 I opened the door and the same front desk associate said "I'll have to reschedule you because you are late!!" I tried to defend myself saying he promised to still fulfill my appointment if I got there at 5:30. That's when he started threatening to call the cops if I didn't leave, I felt belittled and humiliated by the way he treated me. I had to stay there listening to his threats until he finally agreed to give me my money back. The other employees at the facility witnessed the whole thing and no one helped me, which shows this is probably a common occurrence there. BEWARE: YOU WILL BE MADE TO PAY AND TIP while your hair is STILL IN FOILS well before your hair is even finished.. I recently went in for blonde highlights on brown hair. (bleach/foils). It was MY FIRST VISIT. Colorist/receptionist knew this. Colorist foiled my hair and put me in back to let the bleach process. Head full of foils they sit me down, and the receptionist comes back and orders me up (like a bad dog..) and over to the register to pay up. (not joking..) I said, "Oh I'm not finished yet". She LOUDLY tells me that this is express service.. (there is one other person in there besides me..) So I pay, of course. No big deal. Bleach dripping down the side of my face, head full of foils. Pay. No problem. The TIP MENU pops up. She says loudly, "Aren't you going to TIP YOUR COLORIST??" I try to explain that I haven't seen it. The process isn't even finished. It might be the best dye job in the history of dye jobs, how do you know how to tip before it's done? Call the psychic friends network? Then another colorist pops out of nowhere to double down on this is express service narrative. So I tip 20% on a service that is not done, that I haven't seen with a brand new stylist. 20% was the highest I could tip by the way. I ORDINARILY TIP MORE. I was STUNNED. Being quietly stunned wasn't enough. Rude girls decide to make an issue and say, "If you feel uncomfortable, we will get your stylist." I said, no please don't. I already paid and tipped. I didn't want to get him involved, because I didn't want any retribution. God Forbid the tip on blind service wasn't enough.. But they told him anyhow and he came back and doubled down on narrative and used McDonalds as a comparative. "When you go to McDonalds, you pay for the food first.." SO I SAT THERE NUMB FOR 40 MINUTES praying to God it came out okay and not orange or green and everyone was happy with my tip and not hurt my hair because I dared to ask why I had to pay and tip 40 minutes prior to even being finished. The hair came out okay and I WILL NEVER BE BACK AGAIN. Also, too bad for the colorist because I would have tipped WAY MORE than 20%. read more

This is a fabulous idea. I love the whole thing about it, The manager named Kelly is amazing. She is one of the best managers ( in all professions) I have seen in a very long time. She really does a great job with customer service. I love that I'm in & out! They do not try to sell you ANYTHING. They told me 1 time about the membership, I went in a few times before I decided if I wanted to. I then mentioned I was thinking about the membership & she went over it with me. I didn't have a coupon, sometimes staff don't like freebies and the service isn't great.Anyhow, I paid full price for a root to tip service. The bottle application left drips down my face and the hair washing person was nice enough to come over to the waiting station to wipe it off for me. When I dried it myself. The top front looked great but I still had so many grays in the back..which is why I came in the first place. They were very nice about touching it up but the bottle application didn't work for me and my long hair. The staff was friendly and helpful. The color turned out fine but only lasted about 3 weeks. I came back to claim the Groupon for a full head color - big misstate! After rinsing, they showed me to the self-styling room. I was there for 1hr trying to dry my hair and comb through it. My hair turned out so dry, dull and lifeless I couldn't even comb through after the process. The staff gave me some oil for my hair but it did not help. It took me a week to get my hair back to normal. within 2 weeks a patch of grey hair showed up where the technician missed. I don't know how people can rave about this salon I had the worst experience ever. The box color is much better quality than the color product from this salon. read more

I had the pleasure of visiting Color Only for the first time today. I was so pleasantly pleased with my experience! I have THICK AND VERY LONG hair. My color came out fantastic, exactly what I asked for and they even fixed a terrible color job done by another very expensive salon. The pricing is so very reasonable especially for someone with long hair that is routinely up charged for every service. Also while I was there longer than they initially state it will take it still far exceeded my expectations. I was there for a fraction of the time I spend at a traditional salon. I paid the extra to have my hair blow dried and Claudia did a phenomenal job. She took her time and made sure it looked perfect even though I'm sure my hair took her out of rotation for a while. This is the salon for me! Ladies, if you're tired of doing your own box color at home, this is the place for you! Switch it up! I absolutely can't do standard hair salons. My schedule is crazy and most times, I have to just go when I have a free hour. Here, I can be in and out in an hour, it doesn't cost an arm and a leg, and they know what they're doing because all they focus on is your color. I got personalized attention to really look at my hair and decide what was needed to give me the look I wanted. Then they began mixing my custom color in their custom color dispensing machine (think paint mixer at Home Depot!). It was so cool! They applied and LEGIT ten minutes later I was ready to be rinsed. Their micro-pigmented color was perfect! I had the option to blow dry myself or pay for blow out. I chose to rinse and go - on a time crunch! Was perfect for what I needed! I am here visiting my Mother in Coral Springs and have had to extend my trip because of family issues. A couple of weeks ago I decided to get a haircut (Men's haircut) so I looked up local salons and found this place; I should have kept looking or just waited until I got back home. The haircut is one of the worst haircuts I have ever gotten, even after 2 weeks of growing back out you can still see all the mistakes. I can say for sure it was the fastest haircut I ever got! It was less than 15 minutes from the time I checked in at desk until I was back at desk paying. That is 15 minutes to ask me how I wanted my cut, wash, cut, dry my hair and break out the mirror to ask me if it was good!
