Several years ago someone asked where I got my sparkly sequin bracelet. I may have paid $10.00 for it at Number 5, but she ( A New Yorker) told me that she would probably pay $100.00 for it in SoHo. I got an Indonesian shadow puppet that stands about 15". Handcarved and handpainted. The owner buys direct from the craftspeople. Location in this mini mall of Carpenter's Square is worthwhile also for the intoxicating coffee roaster, art shop, and Italian restaurant.

They have the largest quality sunglass display and Carhart inventory around. Boat shoes, severe weather gear, all sorts of cool stuff. The folks in the store are the friendliest I have found and always look forward to stopping by for something new.
