I Saw a sign that said 50 to 70% off so I stopped in and I'm glad I did because it is my first time in the store although I visit Cape May 20 or 30 times a year. Once inside I saw great quality clothing. The staff is very friendly and helpful and I walked out with two new, high quality shirts. I'd recommend this place to anyone. read more

The store has lots of great merchandise but I find the "exchange or store credit" policy to be absurd. I had missed the small sign at check out stating this policy and 2 days after purchase learned this when I tried to return something.. I will no longer shop there but stick to stores with a more liberal, customer friendly policy. read more

We've been making a point of stopping in this shop every time we are in Cape May. This store carries quite the collection of quality and varied items. We have made numerous purchases of articles of clothing and shoes over the years that have become personal favorites. When we popped in this year Jodi provided exceptional assistance and we (my mother and I) ended up walking out with some new items we are eager to wear once we return back home--including an extremely flattering sundress and lovely tank top that can be worn as is or layered for work. One of the shops we stopped in during a Cape May stroll around the pedestrian walking mall. Didn't really find any outstanding bargains or must have items, but it was the end of the season. They seemed to specialize in comfy clothing and apparently have another store in Pennsylvania. Friendly enough staff, good location. Just didn't find anything that deserved my precious bucks today. Park in one of lots and pay the $ - it's worth it to save time. read more

I walked into this store with my sister, she shops at the other location in Philly. I was in need of pieces to add to my wardrobe and she felt this would be a great stop. We had the wonderful luck of meeting Donna Marie! She was knowledgeable, helpful and so much fun to work with. I ended up with some wonderful high quality Tribal pieces. I can not wait to return and shop there again. In addition to Donna Marie, Hutch was also helpful and aided me with a return issue. Interested in shopping for lingerie? You'll like this place. They've got a good selection, and the employees are open and friendly. Like hunting for ghosts? You'll love this place! I had read about this place being haunted in Craig McManus' (the local psychic in town) book, Ghosts of Cape May: Volume 1. He told of how the basement is extremely haunted - the shop itself isn't the least bit creepy, but when I came to the basement door (locked, of course), I felt a chill. Wow! That was scary. If you had asked me a week ago, I would have written a much more positive review. I shop at this store every time I go to Cape May and usually spend $35 to $150 each time for cute casual clothes. I was satisfied with the store until I returned an Indian top that rubbed red dye all over my shorts, purse, and bra. This happened on a sunny day over the course of about three hours. When I took it back, no apology, no offer to reimburse for the damage to my other items, three people conferring on the return, and generally a negative experience. One of them asked me if I got caught in the rain, which I hadn't, and which wouldn't have made a difference anyway, since nothing should transfer dye all over everything it touches. One of them told me to use Dawn detergent on my damaged items "it takes everything out." Well, it took it out of the shorts, with a lot of scrubbing, but the bra and purse are done for. One of them told me they sold those items for 20 years and never had a problem; well, there was a problem with what they sold me. A "we're sorry" would have gone a long way, and a small gift certificate for the store would have made me happy. I do not give business to stores with poor customer service; there's a lot of competition out there that I would prefer to deal with. I am done with the Cotton Company. read more
